1545928 tn?1293609516 I would ask your dr for maybe a hidascan of gallbladder and have him check your neck out. The thing is my neck problems went undiagnosed for 4 yrs because i did not have neck pain at all. I am sorry you are going thru this best of luck.
Avatar n tn There is a condition known as Cholechodyskinsia (Chole= gall bladder and dyskinsia = dysfunction) The gall bladder neck can get kinked and cause the gall bladder to swell and produce pain. Symptoms are the same as a stone but ususally the pain comes from lying down, as in the night, and getting up and walking around ususally lets the gall bladder fall back into place and the swelling goes down.
2181319 tn?1337737809 ve been experiencing a sharp burning pain located just below my sternum on both side of my chest. The pain then expands through my chest and and middle/upper back, neck and shoulder areas. When this happens, i can't slump over or curl up (which is my normal response to pain), because the pain just intensifys. It forces my to sit straight, when i do that, i get extremely dizzy and sick. After about 10-15 minutes the pain begins to fade away. what could be causing this?
Avatar n tn I would think your neck injury would be the cause of your shoulder pain. I had my gallbladder removed 4 years ago and the pain was under my rib cage and into my back. The pain went away once I had it removed. Do your research and interview a few surgeons before you have the spine surgery. It's a pretty risky procedure and you want somebody to do it right the first time. Good luck. Maybe they can remove the gallbladder and do the neck repair at the same time?
Avatar f tn Hi, gallbladder stones can chronically irritate the gallbladder wall and cause inflammation and pain. Also, this chronic irritation is a predisposing cause for gallbladder cancer. If the stone is placed in the neck of the gall bladder, it can cause retention of bile, with stasis and consequent infection. So, the best option would be to have an elective gallbladder removal irrespective of size. So, please discuss with your doctor about this option. Regards.
Avatar n tn yes i am having pains in my right side that radiate in front and in back making my back and neck hurt, have had them for a while now they come and go. but lately ive been having gas, indigestion and horrible burping and diarhea. the pain the other day was so bad i cried. my bowels are floating but have been doing it for a while. i thought i had IBS because i cant finish a meal without having to go to the bathroom. but now im starting to wonder. anything will help.
Avatar f tn I have that part under control with probiotics(Colon Health brand), more than it has ever been before. This is why I do not believe IBS my pain is caused by my IBS. I go every day, every morning to be exact and when I don't take them....I know, They have helped me with my IBS symptoms. However, I STILL have the chronic bad pains in my epigastric area. EVERYDAY, most of the day, seven days a week, going on 9 years. It relates back to my gallbladder removal.
Avatar f tn hi latae, sorry to hear that you are having pain, do you still have your gallbladder.
Avatar f tn I've been having throbbing pain on the lower neck, left, front part of my neck. It comes and goes. Doesn not hurt when I swallow. Nothing seems to bring it on. I've had my throid tested in the past before this pain started. I've had my gallbladder removed and since then, I'm having all types of problems with diarhea most of the time as well as pain under my ribs and both sides of the back under my ribs. Are these all related? What could it be?
Avatar f tn i had my gallbladder taken out june 3rd 2016 due to being admitted to the hospital in april of 2016 due to severe RUQ pain and was diagnosed with acute chloecystitis from a gallstone stuck in the neck of my gallbladder its been a lil over two weeks since my surgery and i still feel pulling pain in the area of my incision that was made in the lower part of my belly button and i still get shooting pains on my right side where my gallbladder was sometimes it feels like its in the middle of my abdo
Avatar n tn The symptoms could be related to gallbladder issues, however there is a condition that is characterized by abdominal pain and flushing. So have you seen your doc?
16465326 tn?1448202692 I have a gallbladder full of stones and occasional gallbladder attacks. I suffer from spasmodic torticollis which is a dystonia of the neck muscles. I was on high dose MS Contin (540 mg's per day) for over twenty years for the dystonia which I was able to kick about twelve months ago. I've had extensive blood workups, CT scans, an endoscopy, a nuclear bone scan and a myriad of other tests that all have come up negative. The Internal Medicine specialist said I have Fibromyalgia.
Avatar m tn I have extreme pain starting in my neck, shoulder back , and chest. (right side) When I say extreme I mean extreme! this all started 4 years ago when I sprained my shoulder. This hasn't gotten better its gotten extremely worst i can barely pick up my son.
Avatar f tn Thought it might just be a crick in my neck. A week later pain still constant but than as suddenly pain in belly button appeared and pain in shoulder gone. Than horrible pain in middle of chest and back between both shoulder blades after drinking a margarita and eating fried chicken which I hardly ever do.
Avatar n tn I have been on Fentenal (25mg) for about 8 months for what my doc said was nerve damage. Well come to find out I have had a non functioning gallbladder which was actually causing all my pain. I found this out because I just had my gallbladder taken out and now it appears I am pain free. Grant it,it has only been 24 hours but I am suppose to change my patch today and usually I can't wait to put a new patch on to stop the pain but I don't feel the pain anymore!

Avatar n tn Where are you having the pain and what kind of pain? Typically a gallbladder attack can be mild or extremely severe, sometimes so bad you can pass out from the pain. It's also typically under the right ribs or upper right abdomen. Should go get checked to see if you do have gallbladder problems.
Avatar n tn I recently had pain in the right side of my chest along with pain between my shoulder blades and neck pain. I had a horrible cough from allergies that lasted several weeks. My doctor told me that the cough had inflamed the muscles in my chest.
936197 tn?1268663065 , your gallbladder can become inflamed, or a stone can get caught in the gallbladder neck or in the common bile duct. So, just have it out after the baby comes. No biggie!!
Avatar n tn Dee, you don't have much choice since one of the stones is in the neck of the gallbladder. It's obstructing and that's not going to change and can result in severe long-term problems.
Avatar n tn Hello everyone. For 3 months I am suffering like hell especially after eating.
2165035 tn?1337039546 And the vomiting and pain does sound like gallbladder. A friend of mine thought her nausea and pain was gallbladder yet it took a while before she was diagnosed, which is beyond stupid and scary that they didn't diagnose her right off the bat, so you have to really be your own advocate these days because some doctors minds are on the golf course when you are talking to them....Good luck.

Avatar n tn So, I’m hoping this isn’t a heart issue at all. Can gallbladder problems really cause chest pain and tightness and palpitations like I’ve described? So far I’ve had a couple of ultrasounds and just had a CT with contrast that all came back normal. Everyone that I’ve spoken to about this who has had their gallbladder removed has said that my symptoms are exactly like theirs were before they had their gallbladder removed.
