Avatar n tn hi. i have been feeling dizzy for a week now. i am able to do all the daily chores alongwith being slightly dizzy. dizzines is like being on a boat feeling in head. i experienced the same dizzines back in february, when it lasted for a week. back then i thought it's just low blood sugar. but it came back again now. this time it started after i was feeling a lot of stress/pain in my neck and shoulders. i work 9 to 5 mostly sitting infront of computer.
Avatar m tn Normally when I do strenuous activity I am sore the day after, and the next day after I am fine. Should I be worried? I am seeing a doctor for a unrelated issue tomorrow? I am a 24 year old male in pretty decent health.
Avatar n tn The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day. Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day. Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.
Avatar f tn At the hospital they did an ecg, chest and neck X-ray, full blood test and a chest and neck ct scan and all came back clear expect for a a slightly elevated platlets 447. Went home and in that duration pain still strong and not subsiding or giving me a break for even a minute. Followed up with my dr following week and he sent me for an abdominal ct scan that came back clear except for an accidental finding of something one of my kidneys which they will do a targeted ct next week.
Avatar m tn Did they give you any meds for the pain after the fall? Any opiates (can cause constipation)? Did you go to a gastroenterologist or just general doc for the stomach? Obviously, you've seen a lot of docs and they should know a lot more than we do. I can see how a fall might have injured something down there, but that probably wouldn't explain the constipation. So since the docs haven't noticed anything, it might be something they gave you at the hospital.
Avatar f tn The back of my neck hurts as well, this pain only started more intensely the last week or so.I can not lay on my right side of the head because the pain in my neck, throat area just ache too much. I still get pain right behinde the left breast, but i have been told it is chondroitis. I do have a dr. appt., but not until April 1, just wondering what you do for the pain if anyone has any advice I would appreciate it..... Had a TT back in 1994 (short history).
Avatar f tn I've had a very weird headache in the back left of my head for over a week now. It's not like any headache I've ever had and the base of my neck (at the hair line) is sore. I didn't hit my head or do anything out of the ordinary to it. I've never had a migraine. I get a few headaches a month, usually at night. They are the kind that get worse when standing up and sitting up. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night from a headache. I normally get pounding headaches.
Avatar f tn You just heat it up in the microwave to whatever temp you want. The one I made I usually only do about a minute to a minute and a half for my neck. The lower back I like warmer. They stay nice and warm for a long time. I use mine for months before I have to make a new one. At first I used to get hungry when I used it because I could smell the rice. LOL. Hope it helps.
1271843 tn?1270642952 Ive had a headache for over a week now. and it seems like it gets worse everyday. my mom thinks its my sinus's but ive taken meds and it has yet to go away. i thought it was due to stress last week but i dont have any right now.. also thought it was because of my contacts but i took them out and it seemed like it got worse. cant even wear my glasses because it hurts.
1328913 tn?1279179246 so for over a week now ive been expireiencing a pain in the very top of my neck which follows through to behind my ear and shooting pains through my skull at times, i feel pressure in my ears and head, crackling and popping in my ears when i swallow and yawn and at times my ears ring. its mainly on the left side but does happen on my right also. i feel the need to stretch my neck out but it doesnt relieve the pain. I see a chiro twice a week but it doesnt relieve the feeling very much either.
Avatar f tn I actually JUST started PT for Chiari symptoms last week. (no surgery) My main symptom is severe head & neck pain and pressure. My neck muscles are weak....I actually had a brain surgery 8 months ago to remove a benign tumor. The Chiari pain flared up shortly after that. I have so much tension in my neck and the muscles in the base of my skull. I am doing P.T. that includes the elctronic stimulation with ultrasound between my back of my neck to shoulder blades....
Avatar n tn A couple of days later I still had headaches and felt dehydrated and dizzy so went to ER, they did a CAT SCAN and could not find anything, I was peeling from being in the sun the week before so they said it was more than likely heat stroke. Put me on a drip for a while and then sent me home. I followed up with my PCP a couple of days later as I still felt a weird feeling in the head. He sent me for an MRI. MRI results came back normal today nothing showing.
Avatar f tn I went in to see my doctor this week for a possible ear/sinus infection, when I complained of a sore neck and swelling, she requested an ultrasound of my neck, she also gave me a prescription for antibiotics and steroids. My ultrasound is scheduled for next week, as it was labeled "routine." She told me not to be too concerned about my test levels, that even if I have an autoimmune thyroid disease, there is little if anything they do to treat it.
5154898 tn?1374773319 Use a hard bed to sleep. Avoid a pillow. Roll a towel and place it under your neck while sleeping on the back and between head and shoulder when lying on the side. Initially this will be uncomfortable but with time the acupressure will work. Use an analgesic cream or spray. Anti-inflammatory drugs and muscle relaxants also help. Also, you must improve your posture while sitting and working. Manual therapy, neck exercises etc should all be tried as all these can help relieve pain.
Avatar f tn The doctors say I have a pulled muscle in my neck, I have fibromyalga, an 2 disc that are bad. Could this be more the just a pulled muscle? I have had it for over a week and I have been taking pain killers and muscle relaxers I also put heat on it often. I am so upset about missing so much work.
Avatar m tn Click on Pets on top of this page, and pick a subject under the "Ask a Vet" section. They might be able to give you a good answer .
Avatar n tn There is a certain type of PT that many benefit from with neck and back pain - but costly if you dont have insurance. People with blown out discs even see good results so its worth looking into. Regular PT is not that great. The neck and back machine that works like no other is called Med -X. Goggle it. These machines are patented so no other brand will do what these do. Maybe contact the company to find out what PT clinic close to you has this particular machine.
1797743 tn?1389213685 Hi...just curious...anybody else have chronic neck pain? I will be fine for a few weeks and then all of the sudden the back of my neck (cervical spine region) will start to ache for several days in a row. Almost like I've strained my neck or something. It comes and goes.
Avatar n tn My surgeon went through the front of the neck, used a donor disc, screwed the bracket into my spine and I was home in 24 hours. The only bad side effect was a terrible sore throat for a week. I was out for four weeks as well. Make sure he cuts along a wrinkle line and your scar won't show after awhile. Good luck.
697772 tn?1228060328 Two weeks after my sexual encouter, a terrible pain on the right side of my neck developed. My sore throat got worse one week after that neck pain. I also had this mild fever (37.3 C), nasal congestion, watery eyes and sneezing. All of my symptoms gradually disappeared in a few days, all except the nasal congestion and the neck pain. Five days later I was with a sore throat again and also productive cough, mild fever (37.3), nasal congestion and this neck pain that never disappeared.
Avatar f tn Last Wednesday I noticed some pain in my ovaries, and went to the RR and saw a bunch of EWCM. Well, to make a long story short, I had that for about three days, then the CM changed to a thicker EWCM, almost like thick snot (sorry TMI) for about 3 more days... I have never experienced that kind of CM for such a long period of time? Do you have any inkling that it could be related to pregnancy? I am on CD 47 right now, and much over due for my period.
Avatar n tn ve seen the DO 4 times, seen a dentist for possible TMJ, seen an ENT (nothing wrong in my throat after looking inside), seen a neurologist (nothing neurological, he sid ) about my neck pain for 9-10 weeks. the pain subsides a bit when i am standing up and i feel the front of my neck tightening when i am sitting down. i have asked over and over but got no answer if there is some muscle pulling somewhere that's straining my neck when i sit down?
Avatar f tn Please consult an orthopedic specialist for this. Sleeping in wrong posture, overuse of computers, and neck sprain as in a jerk or car accident can all cause similar symptoms. A good physiotherapist too can help. You should also look at the possibility of these symptoms being due to diabetes and hypothyroidism. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar f tn The reason I ask is because two weeks after my FNA I had neck pain on the whole left side that felt like I had whiplash and I also had a cold/sore throat. The neck pain lasted about a week and the sore throat lasted maybe 3 days. No one else seemed to think it was related to the FNA, but I couldn't figure out anything else it could be.
