Avatar f tn Hi, Background: I am a 17 year old female and I've been diagnosed with CFS/ME/POTS since around this time last year (March, 2013) and I had symptoms since February 2013. I've also been on a coeliac diet since I was 8 and I currently take the pill, beta-blockers and ritalin to help manage symptoms of my illnesses.

Avatar n tn Neck cracking or poping all the time what should I do?
Avatar f tn About 20 years ago, I fell, walking down a dewey, grassy hill and instantly fell flat on my back. The next day I couldn't move my neck and the pain was intense. I have terrible problems with my neck now and I do believe I broke my neck, what I mean by that is, I cracked a vertebrae. Is cracking a vertebrae breaking the neck? I have an osteophyte surrounding the crack and have suffered with pain for many years.
1422878 tn?1284584593 im having neck pain...my arm hurts. and my hand is tingling. my neck hurts when i move it.... and it makes a cracking sound when try to move it. What is going on?
Avatar f tn The cracking noise in your neck is just that, your neck joints are cracking just like when people crack their fingers. My son does this but he really has to exaggerate his head movement to do it. So you may be doing this same thing just to see if the crack will happen again. The advise of experts is that neck cracking can cause problems down the road. So if you can help it, don't do that anymore.
Avatar f tn Fast forward to about 6 months to a year ago and my neck has started tightening up and cracking several times a day, sometimes hourly. I usually remedy the pressure by tilting my head to one side or the other until it cracks. I am just wondering if the two can be related. The pressure and subsequent cracking seems to have come out of nowhere. Any information, advice will be appreciated. Thanks.
Avatar f tn hi a few years ago when I was working as a bouncer i was bottled from behind and then the guy who attacked me got me in a front headlock(back of my head was on his chest) and he wrenched my neck since then I've had issues with the back of my neck when it goes I get a pressure at the front of my neck just below my Adams Apple like someone is pressing on it which causes a sickly feeling/lump feeling so I be concerned about this or not
Avatar m tn Does anyone else have a cracking and popping and grinding feeling in their neck. It also sounds like something is squishing around like liquid it is disgusting sounding and feeling. Could it be cranial instability ?
Avatar n tn I had the same surgery two and a half years ago (C5-C7). They went through the front of my neck. I've been in constant pain since I had the surgery. My neck also makes popping and cracking sounds. I have terrible headaches every day. I have constant pain in my neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. I have weakness in both hands. I have never been able to return to work. I've applied for Social Security Disability, but haven't heard anything yet.
Avatar n tn I get a lot of cracking, esp; in my neck & shoulders - I am seeing LLMD soon and I am going to mention EVERYTHING!!! What other symptoms do you have?
1636315 tn?1301198225 I can relate to the feeling. Frankly, I don't have an answer for you. I've tryed to avoid cracking my neck since the surgery though. Many of us already have DD problems going on in the cervical area already so it would seem that perhaps this would not be condusive to good healing. We are, at least I was, advised against allowing a Chiropractor to touch my neck again. This would make it seem that perhaps cracking isn't a good thing.
1422878 tn?1284584593 Apart from that if you have a lump on your shoulder and this is an abscess or a cyst then yes it can cause pain in the neck and arm region too. However it will not cause cracking sound of the neck on movement. If everything developed all of a sudden then it can also be a muscle injury and the knot you see could be bundling of muscle fibers. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Take care!
Avatar f tn Chronic neck pain is difficult to treat. You describe everything you sould have with neck pain, cracking, popping, difficulty sleeping. You really need to back to the doctor and start over if he dosen't respond to this then maybe find another docotor.
Avatar f tn I have cracking & popping noise when I turn my neck. Dull & burning pain across my upper back & shoulders. I've had this for 38 yrs. & tried everything except surgery. It's hard to focus & it controls my quality of life. Just finished spinal decompression & relief doesn't stay. Has anyone got any suggestions? What's wrong with me?
Avatar f tn s been pain at the very end of my skull and severe shoulder, back pain and pain that shoots down my back, neck and spine. However I don't know how to get anyone to listen. Help?
538894 tn?1630257531 My neck is constantly cracking when I move Almost like a grinding when I do neck rolls. lately I have also experienced muscle spasms. I have been experiencing this for the last 4 months and have been seeing my local chiroparctor weekly for manipulations. My MRI of C Spine came back normal. I also had an MRI of my brain which was normal as well. Where do I go from here? Does anyone else experience this?
Avatar m tn I also have a bad habbit of cracking my neck and knuckles.I was always told growing up that it would make my knuckles bigger later in life and it has. Also my doctor told me that if i keep doing it to my neck and knuckles that i would have severe arthritis in my neck and hands when im older. So i still do it and have done it since i was 10 or so and im 34 now.No arthritis here but i do have some large knuckles.Hope that helped sir.
Avatar n tn About 9 months after the operation she was massaging her neck and felt a pain in the back of her neck. Since this time things have got worse for her. She had a crackling noise everytime she moves her head which can either be mild or quite bad depending on what she has been doing. She says it is particularly worse when she is looking up i.e hanging out the washing etc.
Avatar f tn Hard to sleep due to discomfort. My last imaging was just a year ago, since then my neck has started cracking nearly every time I move my head. Also have chronically low Vitamin D (with normal calcium levels around 9.7) - everyone seems to have low Vitamin D. I guess my question is why, at a relatively young age, would I have developed so many diseases of aging? Especially since these problems started and were originally diagnosed when I was 39? I was prescribed muscle relaxants and Celebrex.
Avatar n tn There are couple of more things i wanted in discuss with you in this regard, sometimes i also get cracking sound from my neck, Is it some thing serious? And at the time in pain i ignore taking pain killer i rather apply Iodex Ointment on neck as well as on forehead and it releives me well, so is it right thing to do? And last thing i want to ask, is there any exercise or medicine to cure it or will it bother me through out my life? Your reply is much appritiated.
Avatar f tn But if I don’t crack my neck i also have a build up of pressure on the base of my neck/skull that creates a headache if not realeaved by cracking my neck. Aside from pain when I crack my neck my ears ring really loudly and i get a dizzy spell. What can i do to help this issue? And what may be causing this issue. Thank you.
Avatar m tn Hi, Well, other than stress/anxiety resulting in physical tension which could lead to stiffness and then cracking (when I'm super tense, my neck and back tighten up and then it will crack . . . coincidence? or related?)-- I'd say that many people have cracking in joints and it is unrelated to an anxiety disorder. I've had cracking knuckles and knees for eons. Stressed/anxious or not. It sounds like you've some health work ups that have been fruitless in findings.
Avatar f tn My jaw keeps cracking and are on my body my wrists and knees keep cracking as well at times. I think the thing that bothers me the most is my neck because it feels like a snake is wrapped around my trachea at times or just extreme pain in the muscles tightening so hard not like the kind you get with anxiety. I get extreme headaches sometimes. The muscles in my chest also tighten very very hard. I have never dealt with anything like this before and my dr.
