My partner suffered severe neck injuries after a car accident, which also gave him headaches and back pain. 3 months later he suffered a subarachnoid hemmorage at the top of the brain stem which shouldnt be clipped because of the position of the bleed. He still has the same type of headaches, loss of power and feeling and sensation to the right side of his body, blurred vision in his left eye and neck pain. Constanly being told he is very lucky!!!

Yes I think U shld discuss wit UR doc ASAP. Last year I was hit n the back and I started havn back n neck pains days later and was told I have a bulging disc n both spots n my back hurts TIL this day I get a pain that goes dwn my butt cheek to back of my thigh. And pain FR sittn too long. Now that I'm 18w the pain really kills me after sittn or layn dwn too long when I get up to walk I limp fr pain till it goes away. I have doc apt tomorrow to see if mine is FR disc or baby.

Since being in a major car accident in February I have had constant back and neck pain, the pain is so great that I rarely sleep. I too, was involved in a car accident that has caused me to live in pain, unfortunately though there aren't as many "clear answers" to my pain as I would like. i had the surgery in 2009. everything went great. now after the rear end accident i had jan 2013, i'm having pain in the neck, shoulder,and scapular.went to a neuro and he said it looks like the bone did not fuse. i had a c5-6, and c6-7 fusion.so the spine dr. i made an app. with will not touch me cause a lawyer may be involved.

My car has no visible damage but an adjuster is coming to check it out. I just got out of the hospital and after x-rays of my neck I heard my babys heartbeat for the first time! I emt in because my neck and back hurt and I was cramping. I'm 14 weeks. I was scared to death! Anyone else had to deal with this before?

I had I had a car accident September 4 in the Florida 2017 and I live in New York, I and I found out I have 2 Herniated disc and a bulging ,One of the disc was bulge before after the accident it became herniated,I have 2 Bulge in the neck,I had one in the neck before after the accident I got another one, Now it’s pinched and sending pain down my left leg and left arm...I am on gabapentin medication....

it doesnt mater if u feel fine .. i felt great after i got hit in my car acciendt but 24 hrs after that my water broke advice.. luckily i was in the hospital gettin a 24 observation n i got all the help i needed .. im now 26 weeks preg . . Id go get checked ..

I was in a car accident a year ago today. I had an open tibia fracture and a fibia fracture. I have a metal rod in my leg now from knee to ankle. I am still experiencing moderate to severe pain in my leg and also my lower back and neck. I have severe headaches about 5 days a week. I have some xrays that i was wondering if i could have some one look at and let me know if they can see a reason why i might be experiencing the pain that i am.

t lay on the back of my head/occipital without feeling undue pressure and discomfort. I cannot bend my neck downward without the same pressure and pain after just a few repetitions - like 3. Coughing, sneezing etc. cause pressure and pain. I also have degeneration and injury to the cervical spine where an MRI and CAT scan were done and showed damage. I had nausea for a couple of weeks after the accident and couldn't eat. None has done any testing on my head.

It took about 3 weeks after the accident to regain normal function in my neck. Ever since that time, I suffer periodic bouts with neck/shoulder pain. They occur randomly, and I haven't been able to pinpoint any pattern in what might be causing the onset of pain. I've just assumed it was from a muscle spasm. The pain in my neck/shoulders comes on quickly and generally lasts 12-36 hours.

I was in a car accident 15 years ago, walked around w/pain and got therapy, etc... and finally found out that I had a broken neck! I got a fusion from C2-C6. It is important to look further if you are still having pain, because it can mean the difference between a good result and not. Keep me posted.

While lower back surgery should be avoided as long as possible, neck surgery works better for patients, so if neck pain is your main problem and there is spinal stenosis, you need surgery. I went to PT once, only because It hurt so badly after, that I had to stay in the bed for 2 days. I also have had steroid shots in my neck for pain. I got tired of taking pain pills to relieve my pain, and I saw a new Neuro. He is wonderful, however, He says that I will just have to find a way to medicate my pain... I have changed my daily habits, ie. stopped smoking, social drinking etc. I go to the gym once a day, and am a vegetarian.

d report the symptoms to your GP, and soon. It could be as simple as a reaction to pain meds or something related to the accident. Keep us informed.

I had a car accident several years ago and ended up with severe whiplash, now the bones in my neck are straight instead of having the natural curve. I have weakness in the arms, along with pain. The muscles on both sides of the neck stay tight at all times. I also have headaches that start at the base of my skull and radiate to the front. I also get painful "knots" in the muscle at the base of my skull. My shoulders also have a constant pain in them.

I was in a car accident earlier this evening. I was driving and rear-ended the person in front of me. I did call my doctor and they reccomended going to the ER to make sure everything is ok. I felt numbness on my right hand in the first few minutes after the accident and then started to feel pain all over my right hand, right arm and right shoulder. The next morning, I felt headache. Now 3 days have passed, every time I move my right arm, I feel pain, sometimes on my fingers, sometimes on my wrist, sometimes on the arm itself, sometimes on the shoulder. When I turn around my neck, I feel pain as well. Headache is on and off.
