Neck lift without face lift

Common Questions and Answers about Neck lift without face lift

neck

Avatar m tn Hi I just had a revision procedure that included neck lift to correct my platysma muscles. I originally had liposuction and a thread lift done to rejuvenate my lower part of my face. I didn't want anything invasive so opted for the thread lift with lipo under the chin and lightly underneath my jawline. After the healing was done it was obvious that the procedure did not obtain good results and exposed my platysma bands and had much indentations where the thread lift was placed under my jaw.
Avatar n tn I had a partial face lift and neck lift 2 years ago. I still feel extreme tension/tightness at the sides of my neck, near my cervical nodes. I cannot palpate any node enlargement. I am also experiencing increasing parasthesia of my lips to the point of difficulty enunciating words. I have no lip drooping, but I experience some saliva drooling while speaking. My surgeon merely suggests more surgery.
Avatar f tn 2 years ago I had a neck lift, with lipo under the chin and my upper and lower eyes done. I have had constant and often debilitating pain since the surgery. Burning like Chinese burns, no feeling to the sides of the face, tightness that is overwheelming. Slight swelling along the jawline RHS that is worse at different times. I've had blood tests, xrays, ultrasound, second opinions from other plastics surgeons and doctors.
Avatar n tn I had a face & neck lift 3.5 years ago and I am still experiencing swollen jaw area & tingling sensations in my cheek areas. Sometimes I feel like I am going to choke the chin/neck area is so tight. I exercise, massage, hot/cold compress, etc but nothing is relieving the swollen areas. Any ideas?

Avatar n tn I had a neck lift and lower face lift 3 days ago. I am just noticing that the right side of my mouth is drooping when I smile and when I talk. I do not notice more numbness on that side of my face. I am wondering if this is a normal symptom for post op face lift.
Avatar n tn One month ago I had a neck and half face lift. I am now have a large under the skin scar tissue development next to my mouth, it is preventing me from opening my mouth, I can not even eat a banana, floss my teeth, etc. My doctor said to massage the area, and come in the office for ultra sound treatments to help dissolve the scar tissue, several days later there is more scar tissue devloping in other areas. what is your take on this and what is your recomendation?
Avatar m tn Try having implants, they will fill you out without having a breast lift. You are very young to have a lift.
Avatar n tn Due to the usual reasons for sagging skin - aging, chronic dieting and genetics, I am considering a buttocks lift. I am worried that I may be bringing unforeseen medical/health problems into this relatively late stage of my life from what seems a pretty radical surgery which also leaves inch wide scars that run along the backside. How much pain and suffering is there? How long does it take to recover and resume a physically active life - vigorous daily exercise, jogging, sports, dancing, etc.
Avatar f tn I heard about the Lifestyle Lift on television (an ad) and thinking of going for a consultation. I do not want the traditional face lift ~it is not for me I want to go for a low risk face lift (I hear this is a new technique ) Your input/knowledge in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Two weeks ago today I had a face and neck lift. I was very swollen at first, but the swelling is subsiding. Of course, I still have numbness in the lower cheeks and neck. I look very normal when I don't smile or when I slightly smile; however, when my smile is wider or when I laugh - my bottom lip (right side only) pulls down near the corner. I can actually feel sensation of the difference to that side of my mouth as I smile.
Avatar f tn I know tingling can be a sign of swelling and swelling in the face and neck isnt good. but if you dont think you are swelling then you should be ok because like the first person said tingling is a normal thing in pregnancy but just to be on the safe side you should call and check with your doctor.
Avatar n tn The muscles under the chin are connected to the jaw muscles, and they work together. A lower face lift exercise targets the lower jaw. Start in a seated position keep your spine erect and your abdominal muscles tight. Open your mouth wide, and roll your lips over the teeth, pulling the corners of the mouth toward the back teeth. Look upward, and smile. Place the index fingers at the tops of your ears, and, while using light pressure, push your face forward and your shoulders back.
Avatar f tn d say every month or 2 for the past year I get extreme pain in my shoulder and upper arm when I try to lift it. This lasts for about a week or so then goes away. My upper arm goes numb when it's "hanging" during this time. I used to work in a nursing home where I had a lot of lifting without the use of hoyers. So I'm thinking maybe I damaged something and it acts up sometimes?
Avatar f tn Should you feel tightness in your neck and sides of face for a long time after a face lift. Mine has been a year.
Avatar f tn I never had a face lift surgery. But one of my friends has had it months before and she is absolutely fine with the results. It could gave her a very good result. If you need, I will let you know some more information. As Bhupinder said, you need to consult a good surgeon in the first place. Dr. Robert Backstein from Toronto, Ontario is the one whom I know. Between, let us know if you are selected as a good candidate for a face lift surgery. Take care. My prayers.
10045619 tn?1408211818 I work at an ambulance service and I am 35w and still lift everyday. The cot weighs about 80 pounds without a patient and most of my patients weigh 200 pounds. My doctor has never said anything about me lifting. In fact he told me I could work as long as I wanted.
Avatar n tn I took a fall 8 months ago off of a 2 step platform and onto a cement floor face first, my knees too brunt of fall and body slammed to ground with my head turned to the left, I stiffened up and threw my hands down so my face wouldn't hit the pavement, it didn't. I have had neck and eye problems ever since.. I go to massage therapy which helps somewhat but doesn't last, some of my symptoms, were light sensitivity, blurred and double vision, vertigo, high pitch ringing in my left ear.
Avatar n tn In 2005 I had diagnosis of mild hemifacial spasm, which went away over time, recurring occasionally. In 2007 I had a lower face lift and brow lift. In 2009 and 2010 I have had Restylane injections, all by the same plastic surgeon. My hemifacial spasm has suddenly worsened, now involving a stiff neck as well as eye and cheek spasms. Can this all have been caused by my plastic surgery? Thank you.
Avatar f tn I had neck lift surgery in April of 2012. Ever since the back of the right side of my head feels like I have a metal plate that has been placed inside. My right side of head feels numb but at the same time I am in so much pain. Part of the pain goes deep into the center of the back of my head. The other part of the pain is at the lower part of the back of my head right at my neck. I get very little sleep due to not being able to lay on my back and having to sleep on my left side.
4797688 tn?1359312884 I agree that treating the Hepatitis C would be of far greater concern and importance (to me) than fixing my face (not that I could not use a face lift; I could use one, LOL). The point is, one does not need a perfect face to live, but one does need a functioning liver to live. Second: Some people progress slowly and others progress rapidly from Stage 0 to Stage 3-4 liver fibrosis. There are many things that affect liver fibrosis progression besides the number of years one has had Hep C.
Avatar f tn I was partially paralized for six months after undergoing 15 low back traction treatments. When lying down I was unable to lift my head and also when lying down I was unable to lift my hips. If I need to move to a different area on the bed, I was unable to lift my hips and slide over, therefore I had to roll out of bed and get back in aiming for the spot on the bed I desired otherwise I would have to repeat the roll out of bed maneuver.
