Common Questions and Answers about Neck lift specialist

neck

Avatar m tn Hi I just had a revision procedure that included neck lift to correct my platysma muscles. I originally had liposuction and a thread lift done to rejuvenate my lower part of my face. I didn't want anything invasive so opted for the thread lift with lipo under the chin and lightly underneath my jawline. After the healing was done it was obvious that the procedure did not obtain good results and exposed my platysma bands and had much indentations where the thread lift was placed under my jaw.

Avatar f tn I had neck lift surgery in April of 2012. Ever since the back of the right side of my head feels like I have a metal plate that has been placed inside. My right side of head feels numb but at the same time I am in so much pain. Part of the pain goes deep into the center of the back of my head. The other part of the pain is at the lower part of the back of my head right at my neck. I get very little sleep due to not being able to lay on my back and having to sleep on my left side.
Avatar n tn I had a partial face lift and neck lift 2 years ago. I still feel extreme tension/tightness at the sides of my neck, near my cervical nodes. I cannot palpate any node enlargement. I am also experiencing increasing parasthesia of my lips to the point of difficulty enunciating words. I have no lip drooping, but I experience some saliva drooling while speaking. My surgeon merely suggests more surgery.
Avatar f tn 2 years ago I had a neck lift, with lipo under the chin and my upper and lower eyes done. I have had constant and often debilitating pain since the surgery. Burning like Chinese burns, no feeling to the sides of the face, tightness that is overwheelming. Slight swelling along the jawline RHS that is worse at different times. I've had blood tests, xrays, ultrasound, second opinions from other plastics surgeons and doctors.
Avatar f tn I was partially paralized for six months after undergoing 15 low back traction treatments. When lying down I was unable to lift my head and also when lying down I was unable to lift my hips. If I need to move to a different area on the bed, I was unable to lift my hips and slide over, therefore I had to roll out of bed and get back in aiming for the spot on the bed I desired otherwise I would have to repeat the roll out of bed maneuver.
Avatar f tn A year ago i starterd having neck pain like i had a crick in it ...mainly when i laid down at night...then it went away and came back really bad about 6 months with left arm weakness and numbness in my thumb and forefinger... it hurts worse to ben and reach or lie or sit at a desk...after x-rays the Dr. said i had bone degeneration of the c4 and c5. I see a specialist in 2 weeks...can anyone tell me anymore about this? He also told me not to lift over 10 lbs...why is this?
Avatar m tn I suggest you ask to be referred to a specialist for a second opinion.
Avatar n tn So I have a appointment with a orthopedic specialist. What can I expect and does the neck pain have anything to do with the shoulder or vise versa? The neck burns horrible as well as swells and hurts.
Avatar m tn Everytime I step on my heel it shakes in the back of my head. Also rear left top of my neck trembles when I lift my head up and down. Maybe it`s a pinched nerve on the rear left top of the neck. Walking affects my occipotal lobe and the left part of the brain, making it dizzy, with tingling sensation.
Avatar m tn I would recommend seeing a Spine Specialist/Orthopedic Specialist. I have the same problem with my neck; the curvature in my Cervical spine is straightening. I have other issues as well with my Cervical spine. Your symptoms sounds exactly like mine.
Avatar m tn ve seen a TMJ Dentist and told me that I had TMJ, and I used a dental impression but my symptoms still continue. The TMJ Specialist referred me to an DDS,MPH,MSD Specialist. The DDS~Specialist told me that I had myospasms instead and not TMJ. He did infra-laser treatments on me but it did not help me. My symptoms are chronic and I am weary of it. It gets worse when I eat big solid foods, exercise, lift heavy items and even when I talk for a long time. What is going on with me. What can I do.
Avatar f tn I went to the doctor to get a referral to a spine specialist, and they suggested that I try physical therapy first. I have gone 4 times so far, and it is going well! The physical therapist said that besides a bulging disc I'm extremely hypermobile and weak in the neck with a very stiff thoracic region. She said the arm pain was definitely being caused by the lowest of my cervical discs, rather than a thoracic disc.
428266 tn?1295644780 I also want to mention that I just completed physical therapy and that helped loosen my neck a little but the numbness is still there. I seems to be getting worse, everytime I lift my arm up or lay on my side it bothers me. I don't want to go back to the ortho doc. What do you think I should do?
Avatar n tn He said that the my neck bone is compressed and i need to do execise of the neck. Neck muscle nerves generates pain around my chest. he has given me vitamin b1b6b12 tablets and anti inflammation tabeltes also.
Avatar m tn I hurt my neck (around C6-8 I think) in Aug 2012, pain is always burning and sometimes can barely get head straight up. Been to ortho - not a bone issue, neurology denied referral, this is ongoing and the only relief is not to use arms etc. movement forward like playing cards or computer is worse. Fingers go numb when sleeping - have to get up a lot to move neck around to get ok. wake with headaches and severe neck pain.

Avatar f tn In the last yr I have developed neck pain that is almost intolerable, some days I can not lift my head off the pillow because it feels like my neck will not support my head. I also have developed a curvature in my neck which basically has me hanging my head down all the time because I can not physically lift it(my head). I have spoken to my Doc. & he has recommended I c the specialist that performed the surgery, I am on a wait list now. Anyone else have any similar experiences ?
Avatar f tn I do not acryonms SLK do you mean superior limbic keratoconjunctivis? If so see a cornea specialist near you or go to a medical school corneal specialist. You should not be incapacitated. No an eyelid lift is not appropriate therapy for that. Vigorous therapy for dry eye, including Restasis and tear duct plugs and cautery with silver nitrate are very helpful. Find a cornea Eye MD near you at www.aao.
Avatar n tn I had a face & neck lift 3.5 years ago and I am still experiencing swollen jaw area & tingling sensations in my cheek areas. Sometimes I feel like I am going to choke the chin/neck area is so tight. I exercise, massage, hot/cold compress, etc but nothing is relieving the swollen areas. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn I also have a constant burning/pain in my right shoulder and up the right side of my neck. It started a month or so ago. I noticed a shooting/ burning pain that went from the back of my wrist to my upper elbow. First I thought I'd slep on it wrong but after a couple of days the pain increased. I was concerned that I was having a stroke or heart attack. The pain/burning has moved up into my shoulders and the burning is constant. I feel pain when I lift my arms or movement.
Avatar f tn can not lift up my head only down intense spasm pain, can not turn left or right, aches when swallowing.
Avatar f tn I woke up two days ago with a really sore neck, im literally unable to move my head around and when i get up i cant lift it up, im constantly staring at the floor, why
Avatar f tn Hurts to even lift my arm to blow my nose. I have severe pain on the inside of my elbow. Had a C5-C6 neck fusion done about 10 yrs. ago. Hospital done a CT scan when in ER and this is what the report says: There is no evidence of an acute fracture or subluxation. At C5-C6 level, mild to moderate left central posterior disc protrusion is noted causing narrowing of the anterior subarachnoid space and the left lateral recess. Postop changes with fusion of C5 and C6 vertebral bodies are noted.
