Avatar m tn Hi I just had a revision procedure that included neck lift to correct my platysma muscles. I originally had liposuction and a thread lift done to rejuvenate my lower part of my face. I didn't want anything invasive so opted for the thread lift with lipo under the chin and lightly underneath my jawline. After the healing was done it was obvious that the procedure did not obtain good results and exposed my platysma bands and had much indentations where the thread lift was placed under my jaw.
Avatar f tn She is quite nervous about the side effects. We dont really know what to expect as I have heard different things from different doctors and nurses. I know it probably effects people differently but I am just wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences that they could share with me as to what to expect?
Avatar f tn So today my Celexa dose was upped from half a pill to 1 whole pill and the side effects are coming back like when I first started... Sweaty, can't sleep, headache, stiff neck, clenching teeth... Etc. I don't know what to do. I tried taking stuff for it, including an Oxy but still no change. What can I take to make these side effects not so bad? I don't see the dr till Thursday, so I can't ask her... If anyone has any suggestions?
Avatar m tn Back pain won't cause neck/jaw pain, but neck/jaw pain can cause back pain. The effects of gravity apply forces downward. It sounds to me like it could be a problem in the upper cervical area (top of the neck), just beneath the skull. Here's a list of specialists in Connecticut... Hopefully one of them is close by: http://tinyurl.com/cdsyxt Adam Tanase, D.C. www.drtanase.
Avatar f tn I had neck lift surgery in April of 2012. Ever since the back of the right side of my head feels like I have a metal plate that has been placed inside. My right side of head feels numb but at the same time I am in so much pain. Part of the pain goes deep into the center of the back of my head. The other part of the pain is at the lower part of the back of my head right at my neck. I get very little sleep due to not being able to lay on my back and having to sleep on my left side.
Avatar n tn I have tried many medications over the last 40 years , but no others work the same . Prednisone has a few Side Effects , but not as many as some others . The last experiment was Lyrica , think "very carefully" about this one , it didn't work with me , the Side Effects are extreme and "won't go away".
Avatar f tn Hi, is anyone else taking Gabapentin for nerve pain and are experiencing side effects? Since being on it for a week now I’ve noticed pain in my abdomen, neck, maybe even a little in my groin area too. Has anyone else experienced these side effects?

Avatar n tn I understand what you are saying. You are noticing behavior similar to what I have noticed in my husband. It is difficult to explain to anyone else, but you know what is normal for him. It can be difficult at times when you relied on him to take care of certain things and now you aren't sure whether you can. Six years ago my husband had a cancerous lump removed from under his right jawbone and underwent 8 weeks of radiation.
Avatar n tn The bulging discs in your neck could certainly be the cuprit of your neck and arm pain. Have you seen a neurosurgeon? Have you also been diagnosed with fibromyalgia? Exactly what have the physicians diagnosed you with to put you on so much heavy duty pain medication. Please see a neurosurgeon for your neck. We have many patients with bulging cervical discs that experience numbness in their arms, pain down the arms, neck and into the back.

Avatar f tn Hi, I am too experiences horrific effects from coming off 20mg Lexapro. But I can't take all the side effects anymore. I wish I knew what to do to stop the vertigo/dizziness but the only thing I can find on internet (but havent' tried yet) is a motion sickness tablet that contains a vestibular suppressant. Only thing I wanted to mention is that a friend/nutritionist has suggested I take SamE as an alternative to the Lexapro.
Avatar n tn I had a partial face lift and neck lift 2 years ago. I still feel extreme tension/tightness at the sides of my neck, near my cervical nodes. I cannot palpate any node enlargement. I am also experiencing increasing parasthesia of my lips to the point of difficulty enunciating words. I have no lip drooping, but I experience some saliva drooling while speaking. My surgeon merely suggests more surgery.
Avatar n tn Hi everyone, I have a question about recognising side effects. My bf is starting treatment with interferon (Pegasys) and ribavirin (Copegus) and we are both worried about side effects. The thing is that obviously he will be feeling them but I will not. While he can simply tell me about things like fatigue, pain, etc., the psychological effects may be more complex.

634733 tn?1316625992 I’ve had the most horrible side effects. I already suffer with really bad acid reflux (diagnosed as IBS co they couldn’t find anything else). Well this drug gave me acid to die for – pains in the neck, back, stomach under my ribs; I thought I was having a heart attack!! The acid is so bad at the moment it is making me cough when it hits my throat and the pain – well – and its been 36 hours since I took a tablet. For goodness sake I only took 10 mg and only managed that for 2 days!!!
Avatar n tn Most of the side effects are dose related. Here is more information about the medication: http://www.drugs.com/topamax.html . Sometimes, dividing the dose into several doses throughout the day may help. Also taking the smallest dose you can take is best to avoid the side effects. Initially, many people have side effects, but after your body gets used to the med. it goes away (usually after a week or 2).
Avatar m tn Facial rashes, night sweats and the closing of my throat. That is when I stopped using Bactrim. All other side effects are gone except for the closing of my throat that comes on and off, especially when I'm done eating. It's been going on for 2 weeks (since my last bactrim dose). It doesn't make my breathing or eating any difficult but is just very annoying. It stopped for 2 days and happened one late night, 2-3 hours after drinking alcohol.
Avatar m tn I had very sim reaction to that drug, They really did not know enough about this drug when it was first perscibed to paitiants , Topamax , Neuronton ,sorry type Os no glasses, GABA drugs can be used for many different reasons, For neurological pain, seizures, bipolar disorder,, at times they replace drugs like depakot as that drug has very negative side effects like wiegh gain tremmer, blood sugar problems ,etc, also depending on other drugs you are on it can and is used as a booster, so it may b

Avatar f tn I took 25 mg 3 days in a row. I decided not to take it anymore. I am hoping that the side effects will go away very quickly. I have a 5-year old and a 6-week old and can't afford to spend a couple of weeks feeling like this.My doctor prescribed some Xanax to "take the edge off" which does help. My main question is: How quickly will the side effects go away after me taking it only 3 days?
