Common Questions and Answers about Neck lift non surgical

neck

Avatar f tn 2 years ago I had a neck lift, with lipo under the chin and my upper and lower eyes done. I have had constant and often debilitating pain since the surgery. Burning like Chinese burns, no feeling to the sides of the face, tightness that is overwheelming. Slight swelling along the jawline RHS that is worse at different times. I've had blood tests, xrays, ultrasound, second opinions from other plastics surgeons and doctors.

Avatar m tn Hi I just had a revision procedure that included neck lift to correct my platysma muscles. I originally had liposuction and a thread lift done to rejuvenate my lower part of my face. I didn't want anything invasive so opted for the thread lift with lipo under the chin and lightly underneath my jawline. After the healing was done it was obvious that the procedure did not obtain good results and exposed my platysma bands and had much indentations where the thread lift was placed under my jaw.
Avatar n tn I just had my 2nd neck injection. Dr. says that if this does not work, I should consider neck fusion. Physical therapy did not help. What are your recommendations? The doctor I saw is a physiatrist, not a surgeon. Thx.
Avatar f tn Ok so has anyone had any sucess with non surgical treatment and what kind helped? I have been on 7 different medication and non helped. I have also been to a chiropractor and physical therapy with no relief. I am so tired of being in pain that it has really affected my life. Also what restrictions have been placed on you since you have been diagnosed with Chiari?
Avatar m tn It sounds like you have fairly significant arthritis in your shoulder, as well as a reasonable course of non-surgical management. If have had about 80% success with viscosupplementation for gleno-humeral arthritis. If you think your treating physician is off base, you can always get another opinion.
Avatar f tn At the time I had been having neck pain for the past 2 years, which had increases to daily pain. I have an 18 mm herniation, no csf flow next to the brainstem, and reduced flow in the 4th ventricle. No hydrocephalus, no syrinx. I saw a NS last may at Barrows in AZ who at the time didn't feel like I needed surgery. In july, I developed a sensation of almost choking in my throat, and in august I woke up from sleep gasping for air.
Avatar f tn My fiance has been dealing with this weird symptom for about a year now. His spine doctor says he's got a L-3,4,5 spondylolysthesis which he might have been born with. His physical therapist says his left leg is 7mm shorter than the right and that his pelvis is rotated. He has a 1" solid muscle bulge (the surgeon injected cortisone directly into the bulge) about 1" to the left of center spine between L5 and S1.
Avatar n tn Two years ago I had a lower face lift and since then I have had pain in my neck under my chin, between the surgical incisions in front of and behind both ears. The pain is more sever when I get hot and my neck feels like it is burning up. When I touch the skin, it feels fingers are cutting the skin. My surgeon said he had never had anyone have this problem before.... that was not very comforting. He put me on neurontin and recently gave me a cream of benzecaine, lidocaine, and tetracaine.
Avatar f tn Surgical Treatment (of removing bony spurs/osteophytes or removal of intervertebral disc) comes into picture when treatment by non-surgical procedures fails. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn The sideeffects of surgery could be higher infection rate estimated at less than 1%, potential hardware complications or failure, skin incisions non-union risks, surgical regional block risks. You should consult an orthopedic doctor and discuss with him regarding more clarifications. You can refer http://www.stoneclinic.com/clavicle_fracture_repair.htm.
Avatar n tn Due to the usual reasons for sagging skin - aging, chronic dieting and genetics, I am considering a buttocks lift. I am worried that I may be bringing unforeseen medical/health problems into this relatively late stage of my life from what seems a pretty radical surgery which also leaves inch wide scars that run along the backside. How much pain and suffering is there? How long does it take to recover and resume a physically active life - vigorous daily exercise, jogging, sports, dancing, etc.
Avatar n tn To the best of my knowledge, only chemotherapy is used for existing cancer cells, and radiation is used as a preventative measure to sanitize any potential cells that *might* be left after a lumpectomy. It sounds like your surgeon is offering the standard that all the experts agree on to insure that you become and remain cancer free. I wish you the best.
Avatar n tn has anyone had an itchy rash after surgery in the area covered by the surgical soap? any idea what causes, how to treate and how long it will last?

But, surgical modalities may have 50% chances of relapse of pain. Before opting for surgical procedures, you should evaluate both the pros and cons. Hope this helps.
Avatar n tn I had a partial face lift and neck lift 2 years ago. I still feel extreme tension/tightness at the sides of my neck, near my cervical nodes. I cannot palpate any node enlargement. I am also experiencing increasing parasthesia of my lips to the point of difficulty enunciating words. I have no lip drooping, but I experience some saliva drooling while speaking. My surgeon merely suggests more surgery.
Avatar n tn Hi NewJ, If you have DDD or a herniated disc, you may want to look into a treatment called Vax-D. I know a lot of chiropractic offices offer it now. It's non-surgical, and has a high success rate. There's tons of info on the internet about it. Good luck to you!
Avatar n tn Recent advances in endovascular techniques have enabled non-surgical treatment of aortic coarctation by balloon dilatation with or without stenting. Treatment is most often related to anatomic considerations.
898445 tn?1241787506 Try googling VAX-D and look for a provider in your area. It's a non-surgical, painless procedure that can considerably reduce back and neck pain. Good luck to you, I hope that helps!
Avatar n tn It will be difficult for me to tell you how much time it will take for his recovery. The decision for non-surgical approach is good as long as your brother takes extra care of his neck. He will not be allowed to lift weights. The healing process may take six weeks or more. You should not worry much about the decision now. The neurosurgeons have advised you after they have assessed the situation. The mild compression may be relieved by judicious physical therapy.
Avatar n tn Hello, These bumps can be due to folliculitis or acne keloidalis nuchae(AKN). It occurs when hairs on the back of the head and neck grow into the skin, become inflamed, and cause scar tissue. These ingrown hairs usually occur following a short haircut on the back of the head and nape of the neck. Treatment of AKN includes suppression of the inflammation with antibiotics and steroid gels or intralesional steroid injections. So apply antibiotic cream like Neosporin or bactroban.
Avatar f tn The reason they did not give it a 4 is because I had had a breast lift 4 years ago, and they said it probably is just the result of that surgery. Seeing that I have had a CT scan with 4 lesions on my liver as well, I was uncomfortable with that recommendation and asked to have it biopsied now. They told me they could do one cluster easily, the other one would need a surgical biopsy (because of it's location).
Avatar n tn t have any suspisions as to why. I know I like to pop my neck like most people and sometimes it feels wierd, and I sometimes sleep wrong, but can this be something more than me just being paraniod. I tend to get up at 3:30 and work on boats, then go to a construction job from 7:30 to 6:30, but I still get relatively good sleep at night, I just want to know if it could be a symtom of something serious..... Thank you for this opportunity.....
Avatar f tn I had a second biopsy which was not surgical, it was MRI guided biopsy and they left a clip and that was actually worse than the surgical excisional biopsy. You should be fine for the weekend. The pathology USUALLY takes no more than a week.
Avatar m tn The same thing happened with my 80 year old mom. About a year and a half ago she experienced daily night sweats; a swollen lymph node on the right side of her throat and a severe rash with itch. She went from her family doctor... to an ENT... to a dermatologist... to an immunologist... to an oncologist...to finally, a surgeon.
