Avatar m tn Hi I just had a revision procedure that included neck lift to correct my platysma muscles. I originally had liposuction and a thread lift done to rejuvenate my lower part of my face. I didn't want anything invasive so opted for the thread lift with lipo under the chin and lightly underneath my jawline. After the healing was done it was obvious that the procedure did not obtain good results and exposed my platysma bands and had much indentations where the thread lift was placed under my jaw.

Avatar n tn I had a partial face lift and neck lift 2 years ago. I still feel extreme tension/tightness at the sides of my neck, near my cervical nodes. I cannot palpate any node enlargement. I am also experiencing increasing parasthesia of my lips to the point of difficulty enunciating words. I have no lip drooping, but I experience some saliva drooling while speaking. My surgeon merely suggests more surgery.
3076954 tn?1341178735 I participated in a "novice" weightlifting competition at a Crossfit gym. After doing a "max lift". Where you lift until you are unable I began having headaches, followed by mild stroke symptoms and then more serious stroke symptoms. Hospitalizing me for 3 weeks. Is this indeed caused by the overlifting of the extreme weight? Will I ever be able to work out again? I used to change my oil, paint my house, carry heavy objects, workout 6 days/week (which I really miss).
Avatar n tn About two years ago i suffered a work-related injury. I bent down to lift some boxes at work and felt a slight tearing in my shoulders. At first, I thought it was a muscle injury. But as time wore on, and as my tests--two mri and two x-rays of neck, back, spine region--revealed nothing I realized it must be something bone-related. At times during the day, i feel something, be it disks in my back or whatever, slipping in and out of place.
Avatar f tn It would seem that *could* be explained by the disc bulge and degenerative disc disease found in your neck. C5-6, C6-7 are the locations in the cervical vertebrae that are effected. Have these three neurologists you mention seen these results? Have you had other symptoms that have made them think a demyelinating disease is more likely? Steroids and an LP would be typical next steps in light of what could interpreted as an inconclusive MRI result.
1429415 tn?1308268220 3 T multi-sequence and multiplana mri of the cervical spine without and with interavenous administration of 12-ML magnevist. Findings: stable vertebral alignment. Disk space narrowing and desiccation C4-6 disk levels with trivial marginal osteophytosis. No evidence of spinal canal compromise. Prominent central canal in the spinal cord particularly at C6-7 levels. Canal extends cranially to the obex and inferiorly to the thoracic spinal cord on the STIR images.
1322693 tn?1308153896 I also have not had a CINE MRI but would like to know if possible blocked or comprimised cfs flow cam be seen on the regular MRI images. My cerebellum seems to be pressed against the back of my skull. Not sure if all the pain and pressure in my head and neck are caused by bad flow or none at all in some areas. I feel like banging my head against the wall on most days. My head is going to explode! At least that what it feels like. I feel like this is slowly killing me.
Avatar n tn org/posts/Back-and-Neck-Surgery/Cervical-Spondylosis-or-Peripheral-Neuropathy/show/1194422?personal_page_id=1285426#post_5464899 After seeing my Specialist numerous times and having X-Rays and MRIs taken, he told me there is nothing he can do. But my symptoms are still present: numbness in ulnar region of both palms, weakness when exerting pressure from hands / lifting heavy objects, aches and pain in left shoulder when I cross my arm or bring it to my back.
Avatar f tn I had neck lift surgery in April of 2012. Ever since the back of the right side of my head feels like I have a metal plate that has been placed inside. My right side of head feels numb but at the same time I am in so much pain. Part of the pain goes deep into the center of the back of my head. The other part of the pain is at the lower part of the back of my head right at my neck. I get very little sleep due to not being able to lay on my back and having to sleep on my left side.
Avatar f tn I'm sorry but that wouldn't cause the cord to wrap around the neck. Babies pull and tug on the cord, I've ultrasound images of this wee one with the cord in her hands pulling the cord to her face. They play with it. The majority of the time it's how the baby has moved about in the womb that causes it, it is one of those things.
Avatar m tn I had a xray and MRI done about 6 months ago for my neck stenosis and I took it to a new surgeon today for a second opinion. The nurse asked if I had an xray done recently and that's what I provided her. Do you think it was outdated and that I need a new one? It seems like my condition has progressed compared to what the surgeon described the condition was in the Xray and MRI that was 6 months old. Will this be a problem during the surgery?
Avatar f tn In college I lifted weight for 3 weeks and got a thick stretch mark on my arm. I said fine, I just don't have to lift weights. At 21 I got some fine stretch marks on my hip from working at a restaurant. Life will go on. At 24, I developed a double wrinkle around my neck, thinning of the skin over the clavicles, and rosacea (what a year!). I thought it was from the jock itch cream I was taking and I waited for the wrinkles to fill back in which they didni't. Then I forgot about it.

Avatar m tn So more than a week ago my arms became very itchy and rash (small light red pimples) started to develop. Around same time same itchy rash started to develop around neck (basically between breasts and neck). Sometimes itch goes away or becomes almost unnoticeable, but sometimes (mostly around evening, before sleep) it becomes unbearable so I start to scratch them. Could it be scabies? Or some sort of allergy (but my lifestyle haven't really changed for last couple of weeks).

Avatar m tn So I had an mri of my shoulder and images say I have a tear to my bicep. I had a follow up with my doctor today and she is releasing me back to work but I’m concerned because I know that I can not do the work that I am paid to do . I have a very sharp pain when I lift my arm to the side.lifting a cup of coffee when I’m laying in bed or getting food from a drive through really puts me in great pain. I don’t know what to do. I love my job and don’t want to be forced to get a new one.

Avatar n tn 6 weeks ago I was working out (weight lifting shoulder exercice) and I felt a pain in the back of my neck (left side, behind the shoulder). After that i realized my left thumb, index and middle fingers went numb. 6 months later, the thumb and middle fingers are or, but the tip of the index is still tingling. I went to a doctor and he told me to get an MRI. So I did. But I CANT UNDERSTAND THE RESULTS, and my doctor is too busy to look at them now! Can someone please tell me whats wrong with me ?!
