neck lift complications

Hi I just had a revision procedure that included neck lift to correct my platysma muscles. I originally had liposuction and a thread lift done to rejuvenate my lower part of my face. I didn't want anything invasive so opted for the thread lift with lipo under the chin and lightly underneath my jawline. After the healing was done it was obvious that the procedure did not obtain good results and exposed my platysma bands and had much indentations where the thread lift was placed under my jaw.

I work at a grocery store as a cashier . I've been told that I shouldn't left heavy things because the cord can wrap around the baby's neck. I try not to lift up alot but most times I have no choice but too. Is there any way u can tell if the umbilical cord was to get wrapped around the baby's neck ?

2 years ago I had a neck lift, with lipo under the chin and my upper and lower eyes done. I have had constant and often debilitating pain since the surgery. Burning like Chinese burns, no feeling to the sides of the face, tightness that is overwheelming. Slight swelling along the jawline RHS that is worse at different times. I've had blood tests, xrays, ultrasound, second opinions from other plastics surgeons and doctors.

I am so sorry you had the add'l complications. I know of one other member who had similar complications and she is ok. The tight feeling may be helped with a u shaped pillow behind your neck when sitting. It takes awhile for the internal stitches to heal ... that is why you feel tight and also internal swelling I'm sure. May I ask why you had the TT .. maybe we can help with some advice for aftercare based on your diagnosis b4 the surgery and WELCOME!!!

I had a partial face lift and neck lift 2 years ago. I still feel extreme tension/tightness at the sides of my neck, near my cervical nodes. I cannot palpate any node enlargement. I am also experiencing increasing parasthesia of my lips to the point of difficulty enunciating words. I have no lip drooping, but I experience some saliva drooling while speaking. My surgeon merely suggests more surgery.

Even after many months of aggressive use of vaginal Premarin, while the vaginal walls texture has thickened & mesh protrusion has almost receded I must wear pads 24/7 for a variety of discharges: pale pink, mucousy blood, bright clotting blood, and a smelly slime of a yellow brown color. The hormones have uncomfortable side effects for me: rapid heart rate, severe headaches at the back of my neck & head, muscle cramping of calves, hands & feet.

When I woke up, the sinus pressure was gone, but the pressure and half-connected feeling in my neck remained. It seriously feels like my head is too heavy for my neck - a sensation I haven't felt in almost two years (I'm literally holding my head up with my hands). It's not really painful, there's just no strength in my neck at all. It feels like there's a lot of pressure there too.

Blood results are getting worse day by day and my mother cannot endure a neck ponction for the dialysis. Can it be a thrombosis at such an early stage? Or is it something else?

i am twenty years old and i just recently found out that i am 14 weeks pregnant with my first baby and that my baby may die. the doctor said that the baby has a cyst on its neck fluid in the chest and abdomen and that my amniotic fluid is low. he said that there was nothing he could do so we had the choice between doing nothing aborting the pregnancy or seeing another doctor.

I had neck lift surgery in April of 2012. Ever since the back of the right side of my head feels like I have a metal plate that has been placed inside. My right side of head feels numb but at the same time I am in so much pain. Part of the pain goes deep into the center of the back of my head. The other part of the pain is at the lower part of the back of my head right at my neck. I get very little sleep due to not being able to lay on my back and having to sleep on my left side.

A few days ago my husband lifted somthing heavy and pulled a muscle in his chest ive took him to hospital and to see his own gp and he sed his hearts fine but he still has chest twinges and neck and back pain that will come and go an is really painfull can anybody help me with any advice please on what you thinks wrong or where the pains coming from as im worried tbh and am gratefull with any help I can get thankyou

I had a face & neck lift 3.5 years ago and I am still experiencing swollen jaw area & tingling sensations in my cheek areas. Sometimes I feel like I am going to choke the chin/neck area is so tight. I exercise, massage, hot/cold compress, etc but nothing is relieving the swollen areas. Any ideas?

can not lift up my head only down intense spasm pain, can not turn left or right, aches when swallowing.

I have recently been in the process of having an infection (both bacterial and virul) leading to the discovery of a large neck cyst. My physician sent me for a neck/thyroid ultrasound, followed by a neck/thryroid CT scan. I was then referred to, and have just seen an ENT, where a biopsy of the cyst was performed. The ENT has diagnosed me with a Thyroglossal Cyst (or TDC). It is very large, and to on the left of my Hyoid bone.

My Dr never told me and I keep forgetting to ask, but what is the weight limit you can lift in the last month? Healthy pregnancy and no complications or anything. I just have a lot of rearranging/moving stuff to do now that my dad gave me his old place and my boyfriend works 15 hr days and sleeps about the rest of the time by the time he gets home and he's on this job for the next 21 days and I'm due in less than a month so I really need to get cracking.

I had a root canal on 5/6/08. I noticed swelling a few weeks later in my face and neck and went back to the dentist who said this was not caused by the tooth. I then went to an endodontist who confirmed this. I had an ultra sound of the neck and was told there was no lump although I feel there is a lump (probably swollen lymph nodes). I then consulted an ENT doctor who thought the swelling was from the tooth and told me to go to an oral surgeon.

I plan on asking next time I go in, but I was wondering if I have a weight limit on how much I can lift or if it just something people say. I read up that if you are used to lifting things then you are fine but I'm not sure. P.s. I'm 23 weeks pregnant and so far everything is going well no complications.

then i was given antibiotic called doxycycline ...but now i have body aches and swelling on the left side on my neck and face ...and very little pain on the left eye with watery eyes ....is there a way that gonorrhea does not show in the results? ,i had done three urine tests for it .....but complications just dont seem to go away?

You will be fine unless you have complications and your dr said not to lift. I lift 230 lb men at work (I'm a EMT) and my Dr doesn't see a problem with my lifting.

I would lift things at work I was a waitress, and lift my son 3yrs old because I always did I ended up getting an anatomical hernia and it hurt s like hell. Not worth it.
