Since you are sick, you may be lying in bed with more pillows and bending your neck wrong. It's just not unusual to have neck pain when you are sick, although a very stiff neck can be a sign of meningitis, so be sure you keep that in mind.
I have found that a lot of my pain and numbness in my arm, shoulder and rib cage were helped by a therapeutic massage therapist. I found a great one who had worked previously in chiropractic office too. So it's the best of both worlds. It can't hurt (well, actually it can! My last massage really got to the nub of the pain). So it's worth a try. It really helped me.
I have noticed very painful knot on my right side of neck. It's actually located between the end of neck and shoulder and approx 1 cm inwards (to back) from Clavicle. It's painful to touch and diametor is approx 1cm. It has been 7 days, I have been putting heat pack like my doctor told me to but it's not going away or not getting smaller, not getting bigger. The problem is that I had right lower side wisdom teeth extraction about a moth ago from very inexperienced dentist.

There were no dots over my waist at all (not on stomach, arms, hands, neck). No fever, and I believe no swollen glands. I feel healthy, but extremely anxious and stressed. Questions: 1- Could the dots be a result of stress? 2- The rash + shoulder pain, could it be ARS symptoms? 3- Does the rash sound like a possible ARS rash?.rash on thighs are common on ARS? 4- What is exactly my risk with such exposure? 5- The fact that I didn't have any fever, is a good indicator?
The pain could be due to trauma, injury, tight clothes, bad posture, lifting heavy weights, infections of the lymph nodes etc. You could try some warm compresses and oral pain relief medications and see if it helps with his symptoms. Let us know if you have any more doubts and keep us posted on how he is doing. Hope this helps. Regards.
pressure headaches, sore eyes, severe neck and shoulder pain, body aches, fever and sometimes even skin soreness. Sometimes its so bad that it even hurts to put lotion on my body. I have been on several rounds of antibiotics and, although the symptoms get better, it seems like I start over within a month or so. Any thoughts on what might be causing this?
I too am having problems with ear pain, stiff neck, jaw pain, sinus pain and it all started with a fever and flu like symptoms. I am scheduled for a root canal on Thursday. I will let you know if it has all been related to my teeth. My dentist told me that the root of this tooth is very close to my sinuses. I felt like I had a sinus infection and an ear infection. The fever was two days after I had a crown put in.
I was feeling unwell but no way i can name it a fatigue Because I was partying every single day with that cold (Last days of summer holiday ) I flew back to Vienna and everything was normal but again two months post exposure after a very stressful day having hives on the back of my hands which i had also before the exposure occasionally, went outside to smoke a cigarette and again it was very cold outside started to shake and shiver and went back inside before finishing the cigarette.
I came on and googled shoulder pain allergic reaction and found you guys. I just had 2 margaritas and it happens every time the pain is intense and its hard to explain to people because they just have no frame of reference for this weird reaction. I assumed it was a fruit juice preservative that was causing it. It started originally when frutopia the fruit drink came out in 1994ish that I first experienced intense collar bone, chest area, shoulder pain. It lasts about 30 minutes.
Use a large pot of water and place pads in to a boiling point and then keep on medium boil adding extra water as needed and then take out the pad or pads and place on three layers of heavy towels folding each towel one at a time. Place a thin towel over the neck and also the shoulder and then place the hot towels over those areas and leave on for 20 mins before and sometimes after exercises.
Hi There, I have been experiencing the same feeling, only by me it is at the side base of the neck (NOT in my throat), where my right shoulder meets my neck. It feels like a tight, pulling feeling at times, and like at hard painful lump other times. It is not able to be felt externally despite much poking and prodding. My physician says that it is not a lymph node, and that if it is a muscle it is a more internal one, since it can not be located from the outside.
This was supposed to get rid of my left shoulder and arm pain. So far no such luck. My shoulder muscles are going into spasm frequently and it is quite painful. My neck also very painful also but I expected that since I was not having a fusion. Please someone let me know if this sounds like nerve damage. I am thinking maybe I waited too long to have this done and there is some perminent damage. I had stenosis and the left side is supposed to be feeling better.
I am suffering pain on Left shoulder, Jaw, right Shoulder and back left shoulder for the last 4 - 5 years. Consulted few doctors in London / Canada none of them was able to diagnose. I noticed this becomes bad when I lift some thing heavy. Did some few weeks therapy for shoulder still no relief, is there any permanent solution for this pain. Is it some thing related to heart attacks, please need your expert opinion ASAP?
My husband is 32 and first started getting neck pain (back of neck) on Sunday, and by Monday during the day it became so bad that his range of motion became very limited. There is no known cause as to why this began. He developed pain while swallowing (on Monday). The front of his neck feels bruised. He also said it feels as if he was screaming all night at a rock concert. The most painful motion is when he tries to tilt his head back.
On the 13th day I started having mild neck and shoulder blade pain then went away with massage. Then got some pains on different areas encircling shoulder joint I thought just a mild pulled muscle.Symptoms happened insidiously. On the 20th day, it locked my joint with severe excruciating pain. Doctor doesn't believe it has something to do with Augmentin but I definitely do! Now my both knees are tingling. I took Augmentin before but I had no problem with it!

Mine all started about 3 months after my third rearend collision. I get ear, teeth, temple/jaw, neck and shoulder pain. When my neck is really acting up I can actually press on a spot on my neck and my face will tingle, weird huh? I do have a bulging disk at c-3, so I don't know if this is the cause or not. Sometimes I get a weird burning pain through my forehead when I move a certain way, it only lasts for seconds though, thank God!!

When I woke up from an afternoon sleeping with fever, I realized that my neck, upper back (the shoulders and all the part under the shoulder bone) and my arms were very painful on both sides. I thought that sleeping at night would solve the problem, but the day after, it was just as bad. After two days, the pain seemed to be mainly on my right shoulder and I thought I was totally ok. So I went to the grocery store by walking and came back with two bags; one in each hand.
When i got home a couple of hours later my entire torso front and back was in pain. My neck and shoulders hurt along with a headache in the rear of my head on both sides. I also have had a constant pain in my eyes when moving them. Saturday subsided with some advil (I never, under any circumstances take pain meds) and I could get out of bed around noon or so. I had no energy to even fix myself something to eat. Sunday is the same, but woken at 2:47 in the morning by the headache.
4 days ago, I woke up with a bad sore throat, very swollen and painful neck glands, stiff and sore back of neck and bad headache, dizziness, fatigue, and fever. I also was hurting all over--including my skin. It progressively got worse (except the headache and generalized aching) and I finally went to the doctor 2 days ago. I was tested for strep and it came back positive. I was given pennicillin. My question is about my stiff/ sore neck. It hurts to turn it either way. Both sides hurt.

The pain finally diminished, but about a month later it started in my right neck. The pain now runs all the way down my neck and into my shoulder and right chest a bit. It especially hurts if I apply pressure to my pulse(Carotid artery). It feels like inflammed nerves or something. So, I went back to another doctor and he gave the same diagnosis. He said unfortunatley the cause is unknown. Now I am on a stronger anti-inflammatory. I just want to know the cause so it won't come back.
* Occasional numbness in arms at night during sleep * Very dry mouth 3 or 4 nights during sleep (and sometimes during day) * Discomfort in neck (both sides) - feels like muscle twitch and is not a sharp pain * Tenderness at points in neck muscles * Rough throat at times * Occasional feeling that throat is closing * No problems swallowing * Fatigue - I start the day ok but run out of strength My GP is obviously puzzled and is playing a waitin game but I am finding day to day life and work aff
I looked like I was 5 months pregnant. I had right shoulder pain and had major gas. Are you in a huge amount of pain? I had my gall bladder removed. If you are in major pain don't wait for the results from the doctor. Go to the ER if you have to. Especially if you start getting a fever. I am not trying to scare you but this is something that you don't want to mess with. I hope I helped.
