ve been getting a very dull ache like pain in the middle of my back, half way down and in my neck and also my shoulder has been cracking and popping all on the right side of my body.. I never injured it suddenly that I know of, it just slowly got to the stage that it is. My Dr. told me that its inflammation in my shoulder but I cant see that because it doesnt hurt to touch or anything like that and its like a strain feeling in my neck when I look right and my back has a dull ache.
I've been having some shoulder pain and popping and cracking for a few months now, along with upper back pain and occasional finger numbness. The popping is generally when I lift my arm over my head. The front of my shoulder (where it meets the arm) is always sore, and I generally have pain under my shoulder blade. A x-ray of my neck showed mild C5-C6 neural foraminal stenosis, but they didn't look at my back.
I'm 22 and I have back and neck pain. My left shoulder makes a popping sound when i rotate them. My neck makes a fizzing (sand like, finer) and cracking sound (coarser) when I fully extend it but more prominent during lateral flexion. My left disclocated shoulder causes me so much discomfort and it seems like the pain reaches to my neck up to my head. I have headaches like everyday. And also I have tmj but only at the left side. So I'm not sure what's wrong with me.
The pains are constantly present and are located between my spine and left shoulder blade, my left trapezoid, and my left chest between the breast bone and nipple. The pain increases when breathing deeply and also while lying down on my back. But the weirdest part of all of this is while lying on my back or on my left side, if I breathe in deeply I can hear & feel clicking or popping deep within the chest. This also occurs on the deep exhale.
Rotator cuff signs and symptoms would consist of shoulder pain and also deltoid muscle pain in your upper arm, weakness during shoulder functions and also clicking in the shoulder with popping a prominent feature in some people. It occurs in a dominant arm and the pain may interfere with sleep and worse at night. There is problem with lifting of weights with the effected shoulder and decrease in ability to move the arm, especially out to the side.
The burning sensation for me feels like a red hot cape strapped to my lower head and travel down my neck out to my shoulders and down to mid back. I also have lots of buzzing and ringing in my ears. Over the years we have learned sign language ( for my daughters health issues) and use it when out in crowds. I am also trying to learn how to lip read as I miss most of what people say to me. Tho I havent been dx with hearing loss by an audiologist. I am waiting for appt.
While I thought it may have been dislocated, (mostly because of the popping and extreme pain when moving it) he was pretty sure it wasn't, and that it was just a torn muscle. He said to give it two weeks to heal and it should be fine.
Now it's been two weeks, and while most of the pain is gone now, it still hurts and generally feels abnormal moving it certain directions. It also still makes a popping noise.
My doctor didn't seem real concerned about the popping, though.
I have had this symptom for over a year now accompanied by anterior shoulder pain and tightness in neck area. I have just recently been diagnosed with Thoracic outlet syndrome and told that it certain muscles need to be released (they are too tight) and possibly some weak muscle need to be strengthened as well. Muscles in my upper back, neck and in my case chest as well have all attributed to this problem I hope this helps.
Hi, I have been having major problems with constant dull headaches (only really hehind the eyes and temple) that seem to radiate from my right shoulder, and rhomboid/scapula pain for about 1.5 years now and have pretty much given up. I have done Right AC Joint, Right Scapula, Cervical, and Thoracic MRI's along with X-Rays of everything with no major findings. Had facet joint injections in C5 and C6 and epidural cervical injection without relief.
Then the tingling down my right arm with stiffness in my middle finger and popping. Pain in the right shoulder and tingling in the neck and shoulders. Long story short, symptoms got way worse, drs ran a lot of test that came back negative. Nerve testing negative, everything else negative except ANA which was 160 with a range of <80. Dr said that's a slight elevation, everything's normal and I have fibromyalgia. He ran a few more test but said they would come back normal.
(it feels at first like numb, no circulation, no lubrication in my joints, pain when moving neck, legs, wrists, etc.. .. creaking and popping sounds coincide with the pain) SO FEELS LIKE IM

THAT IT WAS RA- RUEMETOID ATHRITIS, OR INFLAMMATION IN THE JOINTS, OR DEFECIANT IN VITIAMIN D OR CALCIUM, ETC? MY MOBILE ABILITY HAS GONE FROM 100% TO AROUND 50% WITH NO REAL RELIEF EXCEPT TEMPORARY REMIDIES LIKE CREAMS, HEAT PADS, PILLS, ETC?
Two weeks ago I woke up with the terrible pain in my left shoulder and lower neck. I work out a lot and have been under unusual stress. Bed I was sleeping in was terrible. I went to ER fearing a heart attack. All clear on that account. Doc told me I had a pinched nerve or severe muscle strain. Got hydrocodone and it helped some. Went on a 5 day cruise thinking it would be relaxing. Got a very vigorous massage - very bad decision.
My specialist advised that my neck pain is caused by arthritis (i am 28) brought on by years of sitting at a computer and the shoulder blade pain from a damaged ligament and has recommended exercise for my neck and a cortisone injection for my shoulder blade. Is there anyone that can offer an opinion about what it wrong, if the two problems are connected to one another and how to go about easing the pain? I have has Chiro, PT treatment and acupuncture in the past which has not really helped.
) i experience a lot of pain in my left shoulder, left side of my back as well as my neck and my left shoulder also makes a loud grinding/popping sound everytime i move it or roll it back. the trapezium is visibly a lot higher and seems to be swollen and is tight ( compared to the right side which has no issues) . i have gone to the chiropractor and gp and i’ve only been given exercises to do which don’t seem to be effective as i’ve seen no change, even doing yoga hasn’t helped.
