After my second ever episode of fast atrial fibrillation, resolved through electric shock, my cardiologist prescribed 100mg flecaine and 2.5mg nebivolol to be taken every day. This as a preventive measure. I have read on the medicine info notice that these two medicines should not be taken together. My cardiologist states that they are routinely prescribed together by cardiologists these days. I have never taken any heart drug, and feel a bit concerned. Can anyone shed some light on this?

My mother currently taking nebivolol 5mg in morning and amlodipine/perindopril 5/8mg in evening for hypertension. Her blood pressure has recently been improved and taking both pills cause low blood pressure, she is also suffering from cough as a side effect from perindopril. I am considering to shift her to nebivolol only but 5 mg once a day is not controlling the blood pressure well. My question is can nebivolol be taken twice a day in 2.

Im 17 and doctors say i have hypertension, which i start to panic when someone checks my bp with heart rate monitor. I am currently drinking nebivolol and i want to know if this medicine will stunt growth?

00PM and within the 1st 3-4hrs of taking the medicine my heart rate goes down to the Mid-50's Is this Normal? or Should I be concerned and I have no symptoms. Would it be OK if you took a sustained-release medicine (that is supposed to stay in your blood for 24 hours) twice a day? Would there be a cumulative effect that could be dangerous perhaps? I don't think any retard-release drug can actually maintain a good therapeutic level for 24 hours, so taking them every 12 hours seems to be alright, but I don't know the mechanism with which it releases gradually, thus wondering if taking Metoprolol 25 mg slow-release every 12 hours would be safe.

My cardiologist subbed 5 mg Nebivolol for the Amlodipine due to what he described as exercise-related hypertension. I took this medication for a week and experienced a range of unpleasant side effects, including exhaustion, significant depression and reduced heart rate (mid-60s, compared with my normal mid-80s). I've been off the Nebivolol for five days, but I'm still experiencing these side effects. My heart rate has only come back to about 67-68.

I try being on a diet but know i am taking Crestor 20mg for triglicerides, and nebivolol 5mg for my bp. I have had some cases of high heart beat and doctors said its nothing to worry about. I had onew 12 years ago, 1one 8 years ago and one 2 yeears ago.They come and go within 10 minutes.Its something with my electrical paths of my heart but doctors said there is no need to worry for now.My docotr said that high bp is due to my sensitive character, and tryglicerides is gentics.

2,5 months ago I started taking Lodoz 2,5 mg (bisoprolol with diuretic), blood persure before taking medicine was approximately 160/100. The medicine was prescribed in the same dose by general practice doctor 2,5 months ago . In the meantime I did ultrasound of the heart and the result seems to be OK. as wel as EKG.

Hi, All beta blockers are known to result in some degree of erectile dysfunction in males & decreased libido in females. However, nebivolol is one beta blocker which has got vasodilatory properties & hence can be one of the alternatives of carvedilol. However, you can continue taking lisinopril. Hi im on cartizem25mg and i also get that weird crawly feeling in my chest just as you described and to sometimes feels more like a vibration but only about 6 hours after i take my medicine i start to feel it but my hr and bp are normal.

It is a common side effect with Nebicard (Nebivolol) so perhaps it might be worth asking your Doctor to prescribe a different brand.

i took it for about 14 mths for svt ,and i found it to be ok ,there are better ones for svt ,like neiblet{nebivolol} which is a more selective for the heart ,but inderal is known to be good for migraine as well...for the first few weeks just watch standing up quick and things like that ,it is better started on a low dose and moved up as needed,,but apart from that it seems to be well tolerated by most.

Medicines I take are Nebivolol (Bystolic) 5 mg daily and 4.5 mg Bromazepam 3 mg in the morning and 1.5 mg before bedtime. I remember in 2009 when I got those ectopics here and there I was so worried! I was told to have a catheter ablation after a stress test and I was given a sample nebivolol at a low dose instead of the other med, but it lowers my already normal 110/70 blood pressure to 88/61, and that bothered me. I felt dizzy and still had odd heart moments. Finally I tapered it down to nothing by June 15.
