Avatar f tn Has anyone tried any vitamins for anxiety or panic attacks? Such as Niacin, Valerian vitamin b3, b12 or anything? I was reading up on some things.
Avatar f tn They can be helpful for many things, but I strongly believe exercise should be a natural process, not one pushed by supplements. That becomes unhealthy too much of the time as you move to more and more unnatural supplements that can work but aren't good for you because you aren't satisfied with the slow results that natural processes produce.
Avatar f tn I too was grinding horrendously and especially as I was dozing off when I was a passenger in a car ( while still conscious) . It was while I was a passenger in a car one day that I tilted my head back and noticed immediately that the grinding stopped, just like that. That night, I slept on my back for the first time ever and wouldn't you know it, no more grinding in bed either. My dentist never told me that laying on your back normally resolves it.
Avatar f tn ) or any of those types constipate me. I was hoping for a natural suggestion to talk with my doctor about. They are not very informed with natural treatments of things and said they would talk with another doctor and let me know what they want to try next. I figured since I am on here I might as well ask if you know of natural treatments for FM so that I have a list in case they don't!

Avatar n tn Seeing a tmj specialist who is competent in occlusion is advised.if you can find the right person , your problem is not difficult to be fixed.it,s probably that your right or left last tooth ,usually second molar, hits first when you close your mouth.for the time being, slightly selective grinding of the initial contact, you probably will achieve comfortable bite.in addition, you can have anterior partial splint , which can help stabilize your TMJs.
1192727 tn?1282735542 I took Folic acid and even pre-natel vitamins for a while before I got pregnant to build up my vitamins. Also drinking water and making sure you are well hydrated helps.
Avatar f tn Does anybody have any suggestions on vitamins that I could get for DH? I'm going to wait a few more months before I make an appointment with an RE, but I feel there is something that we can be doing now to help increase our fertility. I'm currently taking pre-natals, but don't know if I should also be supplementing? Has anybody tried the FertilAid, with any success?
Avatar f tn Can anyone suggest any natural/vitamins for fertility? I am 43 and want to concieve naturally. I would appreciate your input and stories of success with natural methods. Thank you!
Avatar n tn I started going to the chiro about two weeks ago for my tmj and he said I should have neck adjustments for 2 weeks 3 days a week. 1222635 tn?1366396286 we live in alabama..i am assuming that it is not required by law for insurance companies to cover TMJ, as BCBS of AL does not. any help is appreciated. my dentist told me my problem will only deteriorate without treatment and i am at a loss for what to do as we have no money.
941766 tn?1257796601 Can anyone advise of good vitamins to take for anxiety and depression. I am starting to feel better and want to control by natural vitamins and exercise. Also has anyone tried 5-htp or any of the natural stuff? I can't take anti-depressants. I do take 1.5 mgs of Kolopin at bedtime which has finally started to help.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone! I'm looking for natural remedies like supplements and vitamins that are best for combatting it. I've heard saw palmetto and licorice helps, but I wanted to know what you ladies use personally and what works best. I have hirsutism, terrible acne and I am overweight. I also believe I am prediabetic, as my grandmother on my father's side had diabetes and my mother, so it runs in both sides of the family.
767148 tn?1257302551 however I can tell the difference and they are swollen to me. I have tmj but I believe it is a result of improper jaw alignment to make room for the swelling I experienc. I feel spaced out at times and irritable. No fever. Body aches at times and joints. mostly Im just frustrated by the swlling under my chin arround my jaw. I have some pressure in the area as well. Sometimes my eyes will feel strained as well. I just want to rule out allergies.
9780765 tn?1405910914 m glad it did as it is a life saver for me. When I first started using the CPAP, I started to dream for the first time in a long while.. significant improvement. I also take provigil which has helped quite a bit for daytime sleepiness. I've also tried some night time natural sleep aides like: Dream Water and Averil and IChill. Dream water worked well for me, but is way too expensive.. pushing $100.00/month for an 'over the counter' remedy.
Avatar f tn The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) is just not up to scratch. Speaking of mislabelled products, Mike Adams from Natural News uncovered the "natural" blueberries in popular cereals, muffins, bagels and other foods are anything but natural. Instead of using real blueberries, companies (like General Mills) use artificial colours, hydrogenated oils (transfats!) and liquid sugars to manufacture small bits that mimic the look of blueberries. That is one false advertisement!
Avatar m tn I've been using a dental mouthguard at night for the last few years because my dentist said I was grinding my teeth at night. The first one broke, and the second one has a large crack in the same location. I've also had TMJ problems, mainly in the right jaw joint, for many years. A couple years ago these got much worse, and I had more jaw pain and migrane-like headaches.
Avatar f tn I see a specialist in TMJ who tells me my case is very severe and he has been urging me for at least a year to get a full surgical joint surgery with new implants. I have heard awful things about that type of surgery. I feel like I haven't heard anything positive. I know when I see him, he is frustrated because my jaw hardly opens and it sounds like crumbling rocks, no more popping, that was the good ole days. His frustration is that I won't give in to surgery.
Avatar n tn I am not sure it is causing any TMJ issues. Lets put is that way it is not the cause for TMJ. Dystonic reactions (ie, dyskinesias) are characterized by intermittent spasmodic or sustained involuntary contractions of muscles in the face, neck, etc. Which can mimic the symptoms of TMD. I am not ruling out TMJ/TMD, therefore I recommend that you have a consultation with a TMJ expert in your area by visiting www.top3dentist.
560272 tn?1311350293 Katie, Folks on this forum have tried a million "natural" supplements, vitamins, herbs and oils and even dancing naked in corn fields.............Some swear by them, some say they are of no use and the jury is still out on many of them. The one and only thing I will advise you about ANY of these things is to consult with your doctor or a chemist befor you take ANYTHING!!!! Especially if you are on a prescription medication.
