667008 tn?1231126469 As for herbal supplements it is always best to consult your doctor as herbs are powerful and there are interactions with other medication your daughter may be taking for her kidney or certain herbs she should never take. The same goes for minerals and vitamins, it's always best to consult a doctor before engaging on that path. I started taking magnesium and find it helps, but it's more a combination of different things together that seem to work best.
422425 tn?1307992990 That was years ago and I am smoke free today. But, if you are looking for something natural...... I just stopped at our local Health Food Shoppe today and spoke with this lady that is well known in my city. She is a walking Encyclopedia of information on health, nutrition, meds, herbs and vitamins. I am having major pain issues and have tried everything. I do not want to live on pain meds or meds the rest of my life. I believe they are causing me more harm than good.

These vitamins are essential for the breakdown of carbohydrates into glucose, which provides us energy, the breakdown of fats and proteins, which aids the normal functioning of the nervous system, muscle tone in the stomach and intestinal tract, and healthy skin, hair, and eyes.
Avatar f tn ) or any of those types constipate me. I was hoping for a natural suggestion to talk with my doctor about. They are not very informed with natural treatments of things and said they would talk with another doctor and let me know what they want to try next. I figured since I am on here I might as well ask if you know of natural treatments for FM so that I have a list in case they don't!
Avatar m tn I know that with kidney disease at a more severe level they have prescription vitamins because regular vitamins contain potassium and calcium which are bad for your kidney. So I am not against it - just really cautious. I find family to be well meaning, but sometimes a little too helpful. Trust your gut, and always check with your kidney doctor first if it is anything you ingest or apply.
Avatar f tn The symptoms could be due to many causes like low blood pressure, low blood sugar, heart causes, electrolyte imbalance, liver and kidney dysfunction, stress, panic disorder, or even due to hormonal imbalance of menopause. You need to immediately consult a doctor who can examine you and run tests to rule out these causes one by one. You could also be having a mini-stroke. If you cannot otherwise get a doctor, I suggest you rush to an ER. Eat something and drink fluids and see if it helps.

Avatar f tn I have been studying natural health and supplements for many years and have found that many over the counter supplements are not worthy of the money spent. A good friend of mine actually has owned a healthfood store for approximately 20 years and has taught me which over the counters are worthy.
Avatar f tn t know what brand you should use, but I use all natural prenatal vitamins and Omega 3 from natural health stores, I pay a little extra but they are worth it they don't have any chemicals or artificial additives that are unnecessary.
9780765 tn?1405910914 m glad it did as it is a life saver for me. When I first started using the CPAP, I started to dream for the first time in a long while.. significant improvement. I also take provigil which has helped quite a bit for daytime sleepiness. I've also tried some night time natural sleep aides like: Dream Water and Averil and IChill. Dream water worked well for me, but is way too expensive.. pushing $100.00/month for an 'over the counter' remedy.
