yeast-infection

Avatar f tn If you have a yeast infection the doc told me that Monstat is good to use while pregnant but I would have it checked out by the doc 1st b/c that's what I thought I had 2 & it wasn't that. I had Bacterial Vaginouses. Don't ask what that is I have no clue. I get the weirdest things down below. I am always getting UTI's and I was tested positive for the Group B Strep too. Lucky me, right.
385161 tn?1270081218 I keep getting infections and its driving me nuts!!! I have always been a very healthy person before pregancy i never had any of these infections, most of them i'd never even heard of help!! When I was 6 weeks pregnant i got my first yeast infection....then after the monistat i still had discharge and was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis, i was given vaginal inserts again (this time prescription for bv.) so i finished that up and got another yeast infection....

Avatar n tn If you go to the pharmacy ask them for medicine for a vaginal yeast infection...you can buy it over the counter and it will work in like 24hours. And eat lots of yogurt, it prevents the bad bacteria from growing that causes a yeast infection.
Avatar f tn When you douche you have chances of upsetting your natural ph balance which risks infection. Since you are pregnant to u are more prone to yeast infections and bv as well. So I think it's just a bad combination. There could be other reasons as well.
11765409 tn?1420944089 I hope you are OK with not being pregnant. It is a worry being late on a monthly cycle if you do not want a pregnancy. Sorry, but with you saying that you were having a clear/milky discharge I presumed that this was from your breasts. Now that you have said that the discharge was due to a yeast infection, I understand that it was from the vagina. I trust that your doctor gave you the appropriate medication to treat this and your sexual partner.

Avatar f tn Sweetie do not stress. Pregnant women, for whatever reason, are prone to UTIs and Yeast Infections. Your doctor will prescribe you a 7 day antibiotic that is safe for baby and you must take them and finish them. I am just now ending my antibiotics for a UTI and Im 6 weeks pregnant. Also w my son i had multiple yeast infections and UTIs, he came out perfectly healthy.
Avatar f tn I am 16 weeks and I have been constantly keeping a yeast infection with this pregnancy. I took the meds the doctor prescribe but it goes away and come right back. Is it normal or should I try some home remedies? I didn't have this while pregnant with my son.
Avatar f tn yeah, I've done the yogurt trick.. even before pregnancy, and it helped a little.. but you'll definitely need to do more than that. the body wash, cream, and no sex should clear it up.. if not, maybe it's turned into bacterial vaginosis & you need to be treated for that instead. it's basically like a yeast infection, but I've been given different meds for the 2. ugh, again.. I know the struggle you're going through!!!
Avatar f tn Hi, it's happened to me before , it can either be because your going to start your period soon or you might have a yeast infection; good luck
Avatar f tn Is it itchy? If you're pregnant youe more likely to have yeast infection. Go see your doc.
730826 tn?1317943334 s husband had to go on a very restrictive diet in order to not take in anything that would feed the yeast. He hated it, but once the infection was gone, he was able to resume his regular diet. Natural medicine focuses on getting to the source of the problem. I would recommend seeing a naturopath in addition to making sure you go back to see your regular doctor. What the previous post recommended is right, too. It's just natural medicine goes a bit further.
Avatar f tn A safe, natural way to treat a yeast infection while pregnant is white vinegar and water. 1 part vinegar to 1 part warm water. (I use a half cup of each.) Do not use it like a douche. Instead take a washcloth and gently bathe the inside and outside of your vagina. It does sound like you have gotten past the point of clearing it up with this remedy but it will ease the symptoms and kill some of the bad yeast. Def time for a 2nd opinion.
Avatar f tn t know about any home remedies, but you could pick up an over the counter Vagisil screening kit. The kit can indicate whether you have a yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, or something more serious in which you would need to see the doctor for. As far as the home pregnancy test, I'd try again using first morning urine if you haven't already. Hope this helps until you can get in to see the doctor.
Avatar f tn I been having yeast infection on and off and haven't been treating it cause it only last a day or two. Now I have a yeast infection and it last over 2 days. I need to call my doctor tm sap.
Avatar n tn My son has had recurring penile yeast infections for the passed two months. My doctor says to keep applying the over the counter anti-fungal medicine. I have used it on my son for the passed 9 days and it hasn't helped at all. He is 23 months old and uncircumcised. I change his diaper at least every two hours if not more than that (when I know he has peed or soiled his diaper).
6807839 tn?1386436725 A yeast infection?? I just got over a bladder infection and now have a yeast infection, joy :( really hate going to the doctors unless nessasary, cured them myself before but need to know what is safe for the baby. Any suggestions would be great, please & thankful... oh ya i do have monistate cream left from previous times, is it safe to use??
667829 tn?1297978123 There are antibiotics that you cannot take while pregnant but it is still best to get the opinion of a doctor. I do not want to scare you but as you know pregnancy women do have a "lowered" immune system, plus with the physical changes that occur within the urinary tract system while pregnant (dilated urethra, increase bladder volume decrease bladder tone etc etc) and coupled with hormones makes any infection more serious then when you are not pregnant.
Avatar f tn Go to the doctor first to make sure it's not a bladder infection and then they'll check for yeast too!
Avatar n tn what is the most effective and safest way to cure a yeast infection while pregnant?
