1042487 tn?1275279899 The best way to balance your hormone is a good lifestyle with healthy diet and exercise. Exercise lowers stress hormones, boosts your energy, builds bone mass, and increases immunity. Choose an activity that you like ( walking, dancing, yoga, sports ) and do it several times a week. Healthy diet and good water intake is also important and as for what is a healthy diet i think i was clear above but i will be more clear. Eat whole, organic, unprocessed foods.
Avatar f tn Women who have a healthy hormone balance tend to enjoy their lives the most. Hormone fluctuations can result in several problems such as perimenopausal difficulties, premenstrual syndrome, mood swings, fibroids, heart disease, breast cancer, and ovarian cysts. Usually, women don’t completely meet what their bodies need—food and exercise to reduce stress and feel better. Diet, nutrition, and workout are some of the common lifestyle changes that can help women restore hormone balance.
Avatar f tn Because you had a hysterectomy, the usual natural approach is more complex. I'd advise seeing a naturopath. The usual approach would be to use a trial and error approach with the great many herbs and "natural" hormones that are derived from the Mexican Wild Yam that help to balance hormones, but again, since you've had a hysterectomy, you might want to see a naturopath who knows more about what influence that has on the matter.
Avatar m tn I have been experiencing low testosterone myself and I have read a great deal on the importance of testosterone in the male. My male dog is fixed. He is 3 years old and seems very healthy. But i've begun to worry about his testosterone levels and how it effects his health. Is there a natural way to support my dogs testosterone levels. Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn There is no proof that an imbalance of brain chemistry causes anxiety or depression or anything else. So forget that route. It's also very unlikely that natural hormone treatment would cause this kind of problem, depending on what you mean by natural hormone treatment. There are herbal treatments, and then there are treatments synthetically manufactured by an ingredient in the Mexican wild yam. These were the original hormone treatments.
Avatar f tn Personally, I think a raw diet is a lot of hype. Just eat a balanced diet and you'll be fine.

This is all good, helps with hormone balance, if there not balanced then periods are effected. Good hormone balanced means will help make ur period regular, pls avoid fried foods, junk food, fizzy drinks and limit Caffine and tin foods as much as possible. 5.
Avatar n tn Hi to cure my acne and hair growth my dermatologist recommends to use a hormone pill (sponalactaid i think?) to reduce my high testoterone level. My mother had breast cancer because of hormone pills so I refuse to take it. Instead, I researched ways to lower testosterone "naturally" and came across an herbal supplement called Macafem which claims to affect the pituatry gland to make the hormones produced more "balanced" Anyone heard of this and is this true?
1638247 tn?1300467050 I've always been heavier than everyone else, even though I ate less and exercised more. But from the age of eight onward, I began gaining a lot of weight for no reason. No matter how little I eat or rigorously I work out, my body won't respond to diet or exercise. At one point, I was living on 200 cals a day while strength training and arobics morning, noon, and night.
1582650 tn?1297384065 I am back to mixing the two foods (Natural Balance Sweet Pea and Duck Dry Formula and Science Diet Dry Formula) to see what happens.Unfortunately Madison does not like wet food too much and would eat very little of it even if it is the only food available to him for several hours unless it is fresh tuna (9 lives). He definitely prefers the dry.
Avatar f tn I am having a host of other bizarre symptoms - most scary is this odd dizziness, a distinct sense of being off balance, like something is really wrong with my equilibrium. I have had my heart listened to, EKGs in the ER for panic attacks so many times I've lost count, every time my BP is taken it's near perfect, I've had doctors tell me my BP is "textbook", or "lots of people wish they had your BP", etc.
1340383 tn?1309990914 t know of any specific treatments, but since cysts are thought to be from hormonal imbalances (hence why hormonal birth control is the conventuinal treatment) i would adjust your diet to help balance your hormones. no artificial sweeteners, limit your soy intake since it mimics estrogen, etc. also, make sure you stay at a good body weight since too little or too much body fat definitely effects your hormones.
Avatar f tn L-Tyrosine - Tyrosine is a natural amino acid which helps the body produce its own thyroid hormone. This is also known to help with the depressions that usually accompany hypothyroidism. Avatar n tn There is also a theory in Oriental medicine that we crave extreme yin (sweets) when we are out of balance in our lives or our lifestyle or our jobs or our diets. Those who ascribe to this believe that, for example, people who eat extremely yang diets (meat, for example) will crave sweets to balance that out. It's just a theory, but it's been around a couple thousand years so who knows?
Avatar f tn Some food/cosmetic/household chemicals derange the endocrine system, and many upset the natural acid alkaline balance necessary for life. Genetically modified foods can have unpredictable side effects, and animal viruses have been linked to human illness in many cases.
Avatar n tn If you are completely sure she is healthy and has no problems like worms or anything like that, I would change her diet little by little see what happens. Natural Balance is expensive but totally worth buying. Just try it for once and see how she reacts to it. These processed foods with by-products and fillers are really a pain in the neck for some kitties.
Avatar f tn Unfortunately there is no perfect diet and there no perfect diet for diabetes. But avoiding simple carbs is good for everyone. A BG meter is a good tool to use. Check out everything. Even beans. Yes some people have a very large and long lasting spike on beans, even though books suggest it as a good choice. Supplements can help some people. If you want to go in that direction consider things like chromium, they help some people control BG.
Avatar f tn One thing you can do is to balance your hormones and augment the serotonin synthesize with healthy diet and exercise or via the use of the 2 primary amino acids needed to synthesize serotonin, tryptophan and 5-HTP and they can be bought at a food supplement store. Exercise is really helpful at balancing your hormones, at least 8 hormones are implied in physical activity and have a positive impact on your mood and health.
