So, I'm in my first trimester and pregnancy is already making me experience the wonderful world of yeast infections. I went to the doctor to make sure it is indeed a yeast infection and it is. He didn't prescribe me anything because he said it's too early and to wait until the second trimester, but I've heard of natural remedies, such as the garlic clove in the vagina that cures yeast infections. Has anyone tried this during pregnancy? Is it safe?

Sweetie, why the dramatic thoughts over a yeast infection? Every single woman on the face of the planet gets one from time to time. Men do too! Yep, they can get yeast and fungal issues just like we can. Babies get them!!! It's just a shift in your ph that causes an overgrowth of yeast. You can get them in your vagina, your mouth, etc. NOT a big deal. Not related to sex or being sexual. We can get them from taking antibiotics even. Really, not a big deal.

I had OT for about 14 months and tried most of the home cures with occasional temporary relief. Like most, I appear to have developed OT after a round of antibiotics and/or indication of Candida Yeast infection/exposure. For the past 6 + months i have been battlling recurrent yeast and bacterial infections. I have been on multiple doses of Diflucan, Terazol, Monistat, and clindamycin. Nothing seems to help. Their are a lot of things that kill fungus. The same medication woman use for yeast infection. The fungal creams used for athletes feet. Or some home remedies like apple cider vinegar.
Many woman get this under their breasts but it wouldn't be on the small of your back. Fungus needs a warm moist environment.
One possibility is just dry skin. Winter itch. Just try cuting down on hot showers and use a good moisturizer.

I have re-occuring yeast infections and cannot find out why. My doctor just said that I have so much up in there.I have been tested for lots of other things and all test came back clear. I can take something for it and it will go away, at least I think it does. But it comes back in like a month or so. So I know a little of what your wife is going through. I even thought that I was diabetic since that comes with diabetes.But I have no other symptoms of diabetes.
