Common Questions and Answers about Natural antihistamine for bug bites

antihistamine

I too have been suffering from what appeared to be bug bites around my thighs and buttocks at times for what seemed years. They would burn and itch like crazy!! Sometimes I'd have them else where too, scalp, knees, especally on my back. If left them alone for a period of time they'd dry up and flake off...ahh relief! Well, I noticed while I was out of town for any period of time I'd feel better but once I got home I'd start itching again!
Are you sure you're in the right forum? There might be a forum for people dealing with parasites---- you could use the search menu. I'm sure that the bites are causing you much anguish but ticks don't bite like that. They bite once and hang on until they drop off or are pulled off. Good luck.
Dry skin from the extremely long hot showers I was taking and an allergic reaction build up from all the Permethrin I'd been spraying in my house to get rid of fleas and insects. My house is proudly bug free well except for the occasional millipede. lol The last possible thing going on with me though unlikely is that something is going wrong with my liver or my thyroid. So I just had my blood tested today for liver, thyroid and I had my cholesterol checked since its time.
I've pretty much ruled out allergies, since I haven't been in contact with anything different than normal. Same with bug bites, especially since they don't appear to look like a bite at all. I'm completely puzzled...any help? Pics: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y211/xostarshinexo/legsores.
33/F Fair skin, freckles. It all started this past January. I was in Arizona for several weeks. On they way home to the east coast, I noticed some red bumps on nose and cheeks. I thought it was adult acne and very strange for me. Also at the same time I had some itchy bumps on the side of right knee and some on other leg also. I thought the itchy red bumps on legs were from hiking: one day I was pricked by a prickly plant in Arizona.
More itchy and when i scratch (oh, you try not to...it's a natural instinct) I get red and then the welts pop up. Its calm for a while then flares up again. I've tried putting ice on large flair ups to numb and sooth it so i don't scratch. :) Called doctors office today to get refill on Prednisone, since i only have a few left and not enough to taper off. It same time line follows as last time, i should be clear by this Friday.
I too started breaking out in hives after taking the antibotic Solodyn for acne. After a trip to the ER, it was assumed that I had an alergic reaction to the medicine. I stopped taking the medicine after only 3 weeks and needless to say, I am still breaking out in hives and have joint pain. I have been tested for allergies and that was negative. I have had bloodwork done and it was negative. Just wondering if anyone else was experiencing same symptoms.
Were you in any unusual places right before this began, or around any sick people or animals? Any bug bites then? Exotic food? Any possibility of contaminated water? With neutrophils high, that would tend toward bacteria or fungus, not virus. Or maybe a parasite. Any fever? No doc prescribed an antibiotic, just to see if that helps? Any white patches in the mouth? Dizziness can happen during an infection, because immune chemicals overly dilate the arteries.
Today for example it’s non-stop, even when I'm not in my office, at home for example, I feel the crawling. I feel the sensation on my face, legs, arms, neck, stomach, and back. Can excessive bug bites cause this to happen? I can't find information on this. When I researched the only information I found was on larvae. I don't even want to think about that possibility. Any info would be helpful, thanks.
I have been using it for about 3-4 weeks now and the little bumps on my penis head have gone away but now i have noticed an itchy bump on the side of my penis which is a bit bigger.. also there is a bump on the edge of my penis head that had peeled and gone away for a few days and re-appeared in the exact same spot which seems to have formed as a bump/scar(not as itchy)... ...i have very itchy bumps on my inner thighs and butt cheeks that seem to be getting worse.
I started getting hives (believe me they were awful, they would come and go but they were everyday without warning) about 7 years ago and was sent to an allergist who tested me for everything and the only thing that was positive was thyroid peroxidase antibodies, and they were very high. I have taken a prescription antihistamine for this for years (I also have seasonal allergies).
Hello, It can be due to contact dermatitis to the herbal supplements, vascular eczema, stasis dermatitis or scabies bites. For these rashes, do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also take some antihistaminic like Benadryl and apply a mild steroid cream on the itchy bumps. Also keep the area well moisturized. If the symptoms persist then get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.
I don't have the 4 symtptoms for RLS. The bites look like bumps which I'm told are bed bug, but the other bites are indentented like a small chunk of skin is gone. They heal pretty fast I am going on my 7th fumigation. My fumigator seems to think I should see a Drs. I have they gave me cream for scabies, which that didn't work. When I am away from my home I do not feel these sensations. I have all my clothes in plastic bags.
But it only happens after a night of drinking. My first few bites of food, I get really dizzy for a few seconds.
I prefer natural remedies personally but I will do whatever for them to go away for good. Has anyone had relief from doing a Total Detoxification program at all? A remember reading a gentleman's log and he had gone to India for AYURVEDA treatment.. i can't seem to find his log anymore though. He left a website http://www.ayurveda.org/ I would appreciate any help or information that anyone can give me. I know how you all feel out there! It's not fun. Best of Luck everyone. Thanks again.
She has no history of allergies, bug bites or what have you, but she does get cold sores and suffered a severe outbreak on her entire face due to contracting bacterial menangitis where her immune system was so impaired, the herpes ran rampant. This was 5yrs ago, so I'm not sure if its related, but the way she describes it to me, it sounds exactly like a cold sore...It makes me wonder if it is at all possible for this virus to migrate, or if it is some new form of the disease..
I thought maybe it could have been an allergic reaction to tomatoes or some other food. I have been taking some natural detox for the blood in pills form, I was feeling ok but last nite and this morning my hands started up again but not terrible that i want to rip them off, it's more of a burning irritating itch that is under the skin, no rash no dry skin and it tends to be activated when I do things like opening a soda bottle top or holding the retractable lead for the dogs...
) Wake up with a cough and having trouble breathing ER gives another antihistamine shot, Albuteraol inhaler for cough and observes the large red blotches covering my entire body and now my forehead and the back of my head have small lumps followed by b.) visit to family doctor and referal to an allergy physician who says it's not an allergy but rather an "episode" where only around 2 out of 1,000 root causes are found; c.
It causes me to have spasm coughing and if I cannot control this to 3 or 4 coughs my windpipe closes over making it hard to breath in or out. The last one about 2 years ago stopped me breathing in and out completely for 10 to 15 seconds and I thought I had bought it. The spasm cough causes it all and when it goes away (usually 4 to 5 days) things are relatively normal although a normal cough stays with me for weeks after.
I'm 12 and I've had new mysterious scratches appear everyday, a rash on my lower abdomen, and bug bites everywhere. They all itch and my friend thinks they're from my newly departed grandmother. I told my mom and she thought that some-one was beating me, because honestly that's what it looks like. I need information, but I don't know where to look.
Remembering i had just finished a course of keflex i immediately googled it and came across this feed. Arghhhhh!!! I feel silly for putting up with the itch for so long thinking the bites would disappear but now i see it is a reaction or imbalance. Have just taken 4 probiotics in one night and a lot of yoghurt .. If there is a major improvement with that alone I will post and update but will also head to the chemist tomorrow morning for a cream.
Hi Milan, I sympathize with you, for I have the same problem. About 7 years ago, my husband and I went on our honeymoon to Florida. Up until then, I had no problems being out in the sun. I am Italian, and have a naturally darker skin tone, so I would tan beautifully. While on our honeymoon, I started breaking out in this rash on my nose, then my cheeks, my arms, and then my chest. The itching was horrible.
I have bottles of the fly and every stage of growth and I am in the process of sending them to the bug olosist for him to identify. For me I beleive the fly had laid eggs in a cut on my scalp and the hatch eggs every 2 or 3 weeks, by the way i have spent alot of money for doctors to say i am on drugs and or crazy and they see nothing. but the facts are I got tired of these flies flying out wherever i went, I got my mothers house invested. and mine to.
your description sounds like hives. mine aren't always "welts", but sometimes look like bug bites. i'm pretty sure eczema looks more like a rash. you can google images of hives and see what it looks like vs eczema.
Its been like this for a little more than a month. A few years back, it was like this for nearly 2 years but went away for about 5 months the later part of 2007. Both reactions were right after I had sexual relations with a partner. The coincidence led me to believe std related but negative tests say otherwise. I myself feel lost and not sure what to do because from what ive been reading, it seems like the creams/moisturizers and medications do not really help so much.
I have had it for around 23 years, since I was 10 or 11, and I think it's fairly mild, although if I don't take an antihistamine for a day or two I know all about it! Even with the daily antihistamine I still get itchy after a shower but other than that it doesn't bother me at all. I have generally changed antihistamine every 4 or 5 years as they become less effective as your body gets used to it; also new and more effective drugs are brought out every so often.
I was rushed to hospital by ambulance and have been given steroid injections and antihistamine. (which made me sleep for 2 hours) My tongue reduced in size and I was sent home. Consultant said, I was a "wierd" case as they still have no idea what causes it, gave me a new Epipen and sent me on my way. Funnily enough I did take penicillin some time ago, but it had no effect on me at the time. Going back to GP with new problems and see if there is anything new things to try.
