anti-aging

Avatar f tn What vitamins can I take to prevent aging? Exclusively the face and neck areas. If there is not a vitamin, can herbs help and what kind? Any Natural Preventions?
Avatar f tn Go to ulta and talk to their estheticians for a professional recommendation. While pregnant do stay away from retinols which are anti aging. They can cause birth defects. But look for something that has hyaluronic acid in it which is a natural chemical our body makes which helps retains moisture by 1000x its weight. So it is super hydrating which will help reduce and prevent wrinkles.

Avatar f tn I haven't heard of any of this anti-aging stuff with these two supplements. I use Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) to help with peripheral neuropathy. I noticed that it really does cut down on the amount of neuropathy I experience. When I did some online research for Acetyl L Carnitine and neuropathy, since it's also used. The difference is that it is recommended that people check with their doctors before using the Acetyl L Carnitine.
Avatar f tn They are well hydrated and will not end up all wrinkled and aging. Avoid direct and long exposure to sunlight. Too much exposure to the sun can cause skin aging. When you are exposed to the sun’s UV rays, make sure you applied liberal amounts of sunscreen to your face and neck. Make sure that you moisturise your face and rinse with water to get rid of any dead skin cells to get that all over glow to your face.

Avatar n tn These natural oils will help to keep your skin hydrated and strengthen collagen. Vitamins improve skin tone include Vitamin C (an anti-oxidant) and Vitamin E (an anti-inflmmatory).
Avatar n tn You sound like you have a skin allergy, have you used a new product a cream , a lotion, shower gel, think of anything that you put on thoise parts of your body, some foods can also cause allergies,Aloe Vera Gel is soothing and natural, it wont clear it though, you may want to take an anti histimine ,there are some OTC ones and if it gets worse a visit to the Doc may be in order.

1064785 tn?1406638398 I do not know if there is anything specifically geared towards pregnancy- I am sure there is. I like the 'skin deep' section on the environemental working groups page. Please know it is kind of overly-cautious, but at least you can see why somethings are worse for you than others and what the ingredients are that shoud be avoided. Hope this helps! Congrats on your tww! Stick and grow baby!
Avatar f tn The only lotion that has helped me out a lot with my itching (but for me It's mostly on my lower stomach) Is this one Dermasil Labs Lotion. It's for severe dry skin but It defiantly locks In the moisture and stays on all day. It has skin lipids to enhance the skin's natural ability to retain moisture, EFA treatment which Is an Important component of the skin's moisture barrier, humectant to bind water In the skin's outermost layers, and occlusives to block moisture loss.
Avatar m tn I have heard of Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Skin Therapy lotion, but have yet to try it. Anyone used it? I am interested in reviews between these two products, what has been the best for you and why.
1980069 tn?1328912468 Rinse your face twice daily with a gentle cleanser specially for dry skin. Soaps removes natural oils from the skin, so try using a moisturizing body wash. This will maintain the essential oils for your skin. For extremely dry skin, try using a mechanical exfoliate once a week to get rid of any flaking skin. When moisturizing choose an emollient moisturizer and don’t forget sun block, not only will sun exposure worsen dry skin, it will also put you at risk for skin cancer.
Avatar f tn Cold packs, anti-itch creams and lotion, or over-the-counter antihistamine medications may help provide relief. Pruritus or itchy skin may be due to dry skin, irritation, or infection. Moisturizing regularly may also help. If it persists, have this evaluated further by your doctor for proper management and to rule out other medical conditions such as diabetes, infection or hormone problems. A complete medical history and physical examination will help with the diagnosis.
304573 tn?1345577338 The best thing I could find for it was Gold Bond Triple Threat Anti Itch Medicated lotion (green bottle red top). You have to use it several times a day - not just once. And when the rash abates don't stop losing the lotion or it will come right back. As long as you use some thick lotion that won't just wear off in a few minutes I'm sure it would fine. I tried all of them and found that one worked best for me.
Avatar f tn I love Oil of Olay, I have found that using any type of fragranced lotion or sprays will irritate my skin even baby lotion! You could be more sensitive to products now that youre pregnant. Mention it to your doctor and see what they find or suggest.
Avatar f tn The rash could be due to irritation (especially if you changed soap or lotion), allergic reaction, skin infection ( fungal or bacterial) or skin conditions such as dermatitis or eczema. Try to avoid scratching to prevent secondary bacterial infection. Topical anti-inflammatory/ antipruritic medication may help provide relief. However, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor or be referred to a dermatologist for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
3166744 tn?1357930247 BRI products, they have the aging syrum which removes existing stretch marks and scars, and the intense body butter which has done WONDERS for my skin and seems to be making my skin soft and stretchy enough that it doesn't itch like crazy while my belly n boobs grow big like they did last time!
4105678 tn?1356545271 Omg yes! My skin is soo dry that no matter how much lotion I use it doesn't help :( and I'm 22+3 with a girl.
Avatar f tn Natural vitamin E is proven to reverse the effects of skin aging. It is an excellent example of a natural antioxidant which is present in a lot of different face and body creams. Another is Vitamin A, or retinol. This is known for its ability to stimulate collagen and elastin fibres. These vitamins are available in a lot of dietary products and also can be taken as supplements. Dehydration can cause the skin to look like it's sagging and loose, hence drink lots of water.
Avatar f tn I sell skincare and body care products. Hemp lotion does wonders! I live in the Canadian prairies and our winters are very brutal. Hemp lotion is my best selling item all year round. Hemp has healing properties and is natural so it shouldn't sting. I'm not sure if you live somewhere that has the body shop but they have the best hemp products by far. Maybe try putting a thick layer of lotion on your feet and put on cotton socks over night. Hopefully it works out for you.
Avatar f tn Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin.
