Avatar n tn The first is that the person suffering from hypothyroidism often has trouble maintaining an exercise program because of fatigue, and the second is that they often try to increase their levels of alertness by eating. The National Sleep Foundation reports that people who are tired often crave high calorie food such as carbohydrates. Weight loss is challenging normally. An under-active thyroid makes it more challenging but not impossible.

1797428 tn?1435966384 To have chronic kidney disease, your GFR should be below 60 or you should have kidney damage for at least three months. You are considered at increased risk, according to the National Kidney Foundation, but for your age category, you are doing quite well, I'd say! Many labs don't bother to flag your test unless your GFR is below 60.

Avatar f tn There is no simple, definitive test for a seizure disorder. Often, seizure disorders are diagnosed based on patient history and observation of a seizure. If your daughter had a seizure lasting 30 min., that would qualify for a diagnosis in the minds of many clinicians. I'm sure you'll follow up with the diagnosing doctors and others as necessary. I hope the seizure turns out to be a one-time event.

During his time there they were battling with ticks, mosquitoes, and spiders, among other insects. My son was assigned to bed rest while there due to a bug bite of some sort causing an intestinal infection.
