Nasonex while pregnant

Common Questions and Answers about Nasonex while pregnant

nasonex

all my symptoms that started 8 years ago started with unequal pupils while pregnant with my son. that's why i've contacted chiari care center. unequal pupils and POTS are symptoms of chiari. Chiari is a skull bone malformation that presses on the cerebral tonsils which puts pressure on the brainstem....thus all the crazy symptoms. i just want answers.
Did anyone else experience this while they're pregnant? Will it get any better? Please let me know. I haven't slept for weeks. I am so frustrated.
Hi ladies, just have a question, what kind of OTC allergy medication is safe to take while you are pregnant? Also, can I use my inhaler for allergy induced asthma? I took a Benedryl last night for allergy and it knocked me down! THANKS! Dolly!
my doctor advised me that this is rhinitis and gave me a steroid nasal sparay (nasonex) to use. i found this helped the rhinitis but made my asthma worse. it doesnt feel like typical asthma, but deeper into my chest and i find im struggling to catch my breath.
I am nine months pregnant and went to the dentist with extreme pain in my gums and my back bottom tooth. The dentist took x-rays and found nothing. He thought I may have been grinding my teeth and adjusted the bite, but I got no relief. I went back two days later and he started on a root canal and said the tooth was totally dead inside and must have had a small crack. He did not prescribe antibiotics because he thought my doctor would not want me to take them.
I am taking Loratidine and also use Nasonex for mild seasonal allergies. I was tested as a child and all that surfaced was mild reactions to house dust and corn. I lived in the Atlanta area for a while and the pollen problem there (a nightmare) is what spawned the used of allergy meds. Pollen count in my current place of residence (back where I grew up) is much less.
I also came to find out that my friend's sister-in-law had the same exact problem a few months earlier. The other woman was given the same recommendations and recovered, even while pregnant. I hope someone finds this helpful. May you feel better always!
Ever since I was pregnant 2.5 yrs ago I started to have severe nose congestions. This started when I was 3 months pregnant. My doctor said it was due to pregnancy and said not to do anything for it. Well, I did and began using nasal spray (afrin) several times a day because I was so badly congested I couldnt sleep oro breath and was going insane. I thought it would all end after having the baby. It did not. I live with my nose spray. Have it in all my bags and in the bedroom.
I showed him all your posts, and I think he realizes that many people take allergy medicines while pregnant! I have a feeling he will relax a little if I have to take a tablet here and there for the next couple of weeks. Thanks girls! I just hope this allergy season goes by quickly!
I have to say the Nasonex helped a bit, but i think its gone beyond anitbiotic help. I have a specialist appointment in a week and a half. I hope takes me serious, because i'll just walk out unless he says he can absolutley help me. I start Doxy on the 24th.
Advair 500, Flovent, Singulair, Nasonex, Allegra, Xopenex for the nebulizer and benadryl. Any advice would be welcome and deeply appreciated.
Started treatment with Nasonex 6 years ago and slowly Nasonex stopped having any impact. Went to an ENT who then prescribed nasal rinse using Pulmicort Budesonide Ampoules. This was effective for the lat 4 years but was messy because as soon as you got off it, the polyps would come back in a couple of weeks. For the past two months the pulmicort has now stopped being effective. Hence am looking forward to an appointment with the ENT for a possible surgery.
This year I got it again around the same time, but instead of flonase my doctor prescribed nasonex. Later the doctor gave me flonase and it hasn't helped. I'm thoroughly frustrated and worn out. If you find out anything about it please let me now. I'm so sorry for you having to go through all that, but I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one out there.
Unfortunately he has tried every known preventative and cure known to man. They work for a short while then have no effect whatsoever. 'We visited our Doctor yesterday afternoon and she has prescribed Nasonex for him. I am praying that this will help as I seriously think the migraines and polyp are connected. He was a severe asthmatic for the first 32yrs of his life, but since moving to another state he hasn't had one single attack. He is also a snorer lol. (many sleepless nights for me).
That same day, one poor woman, about 8 months pregnant, came in just after we did to get her Holter monitor taken off . That only takes a few moments. She was sitting there, in the waiting room, at least 45 minutes!!! By this time I was keeping track of everyone's time there.
I went to an ENT who ran sinus CT Scan which came up mostly negative aside slight mucus build up. A touch to the forontal passages and my ears want to explode. Aside from daily doses of Nasonex, which don't appear to be working is there I went to another general doctor who ran blood test, carotid doppler test, ekg head CT scan of the head which all came back negative.
I TALKED TO MY DOCTOR ABOUT IT BUT HE DOESNT SEEM CONCERNED.. I AM USING NASONEX, CLARITIN, ADVAIR, SINGULAR FOR MY ALLERGIES AND ASTHMA. I ALSO TAKE CELEBREX AND ZOLOFT. NOW I CANT SMELL AT ALL NOT EVEN AFTER ANTIBIOTICS OR STEROID MEDS. IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING. I HAVE ASTHMA AND CANT TELL IF I AM SMELLING SOMETHING THAT WOULD IRRITATE ME. I CANT SMELL IF THERE IS A FIRE OR SOMETHING BURNING...ANYONE OUT THERE WITH THIS PROBLEM AND DID YOU FIND SOMETHING TO FIX IT...
I am almost 26 and had always been healthy except for chronic sinusitis and anxiety. While I was pregnant I started having these weird spot headaches. I had a neuro consult, an MRI and a CAT scan - just showed chronic sinusitis. That was back in April '06. Headaches subsided for a while. Then in October, they came back full-force and were those strong weird spot headaches - mainly on one side. My vision also got a little blurry - my contacts bothered me.
It was normal with a little cloudiness in her sinus cavity so he said it must be a sinus infection. 875mg of amoxil 2x a day for 21 days and Nasonex. She has no drainage, not even a sniffle. A week later symptoms are still there and she has now missed 2 weeks of school so I call back and suggest blood work, all of it comes back normal. He says he hears a lot of noise from her bowels/stomach so she should see a gastroenterologist.

at home lay your head back and pour a few drops of saline and stay in that position for 5-10 minutes to let the saline work its way, take a hot shower before going to bed and use a shower pill (don't know the name but it's menthol and you put in on the tub while shower), use a Breath Right thing over my nose to expand my nose and let me breath better during the night, and finally put an ice bag over my eyes and nose (that's where really hurts) to fell asleep.
I was on this 5 or 6 times in a year or less) Oxycodone (5/325 mg, take one every 4 to 6 hours as needed) Hydrocortisone (5 mg, up to 4 timer per day, 20 mg's after 17 days, while being on 5 mcg Cytomel) Cytomel (5 mcg, 1-2 pills 3 times per day=30 mcg) Prednisone (10 mg, take 3 tablets daily for 10 days) Taurine (500 mg, taking 3 throughout the day) Nasonex (10g, 2x per day, 2x in each nostril) Flonase (50 mcg, not sure how many times per day) Oxycodone (15 mg, 2 to 4 times daily) Morphine ER
the combo that has worked for me, is 40 mg of Nexium 2x/day, not eating after 7 pm, eliminated problematic foods, eating small frequent meals throughout the day, raising the head of my bed with 3 bricks each side, using saline nasal spray, Nasonex and Zyrtec to keep my sinuses clear, reducing stress, and doing yoga to help me deal with the stress I can't get rid of. I also use a steroid inhaler (Flovent) for my lung disease.
Lastnight was the first time it was happening while I was in bed, usually it just lasts while I'm up/awake....its driving me nuts, my computer seems like its moving everytime I stare at it....ugh!
I didn't get my cysts removed - I was told to 'blast it' with antibiotics and a steroid nasal spray (Nasonex - one of the best apparently), which I did and it seemed to work. However I was really ill for 9 months (April-Dec) and am still battling to get there some days. A lot of my symptoms have disappeared. I am still left with memory problems, fatigue (although not as bad) and hearing problems. I never did get to that ENT - they cancelled my appointment and so I never made another one.
The only things that help are Afrin spray (works for about 20 hours, but has awful rebound congestion) and heavy exercise (the pressure clears up almost completely while my heart is beating fast). I am going back to my third ENT in a couple weeks. Anyone else out there have similar symptoms?
Blowing my nose tends to do nothing, except for the rare occasion that while standing in a hot shower I can get a bit of gunk out now and then. I also have had extremely red chapped lips ALL the time. My family physician did blood tests to test for vitamin deficiencies and found nothing out the ordinary. I saw an allergist about 4 months ago, they did all the standard allergy tests and didn't find anything.
Zoloft 150mg Klonopin .5 mg Allegra Nasonex Prilosec Does anyone have any ideas? I am just looking for advice on what this could be. I have never felt this way before June and all of a sudden these symptoms appear, this makes it hard for me to believe that anxiety or stress could be the problem.
