Avatar f tn A few months ago I started using Nasonex every day because of allergies. Shortly after my heart started acting up, I was getting short bursts of tachycardia lasting no more than 30 seconds, but disconcerting never the less. That hadn't happened to me for several years, since my medications were switched. My GP told me that Nasonex wouldn't do that but I stopped using it anyway. I had an appt with my EP today and I asked about it.
Avatar n tn I just started using Nasonex (steroid nasal spray), and it really helps my allergies and sinus headache, and eye-related sinus problems. But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether Nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?
Avatar f tn Well....continue the Nasonex spray. What steroid inhaler is working well for you? You stated you had problems with Symbicort and I am assuming you are no longer using that. Correct? You should try the Singulair because this can be more effective for controlling the Allergic Rhinitis and the Asthma. The physician can CLOSELY monitor your liver with labs while you are taking the medication.
Avatar n tn He put me on Nasonex, a steroid nasal spray, to reduce the inflammation. I also hear my heartbeat in my ear at times, and he's hoping that a month on Nasonex will stop that. If not, he'll do a CT scan and other work to see what's going on. Here's my question: Are any of you using something like Nasonex or Flonase? I do have a headache behind my eyes and feel tired a lot, but I had that before too.
Avatar f tn Hello, I have battled MRSA in the nose for a long time and once again am on an antibiotic and a nasal ointment. I use Nasonex. How do I clean the nozzle so that I can be sure there is no bacteria on it after I use it? I'm thinking to use one bottle on the left and another for the right. But I want to clean it right. Most people just wipe it. Is that enough? Thanks for any help.
Avatar n tn Hello, I have been taking Nasonex for 5 months now and starting 10 days ago, I started experiencing weird sensation in the left area of my chest, it would only happen 3 to 6 times a day and it would feel like someone just tapped the someone of my chest with a finger or two, after 3 or 4 days experiencing this, I just completly stopped using Nasonex and have been off Nasonex for 5 days and 11 hours now.
Avatar f tn It started early December, I was prescribed Nasonex for my allergies. I didn't think much of it because I used Flonase before with no issues but I wanted to see if this would be more effective. After about a week of usage I started feeling "off". Every day it got worse and worse.
Avatar f tn I can however use just a steroid inhaler along with the Nasonex nose spray, it seemed to work very well for me. Should I try staying with this or try Singular? I thought I read up on Singular as causing liver issues. What do you think would be the safest way to go? Or the best? I LOVE breathing better !! I will be needing most of this daily. Thank you for your time !!
Avatar f tn I think they should consider trying a nasal steroid spray and/or a nasal antihistamine spray. Some of these can be considered safe during pregnancy.
Avatar m tn HELP! Sore throad for 3 weeks. Been treated for sinus infection with antibiotics, Nasonex, sinus rinses, Zyrtec, store brand mucinex. Run humidifier at night and gargle with salt water. Desperate!
Avatar n tn Here I take everyday a lot of medicines (SINGULAIR, SERETIDE, VENTOLINE, PREDNISOLONE, NASONEX, LORATADINE), especially Cortisone so I'm largely overweight (85 kg for 165 cm). I decided to diet 3 days ago, and i choose to follow the ATKINS program, which works really great with me.

Avatar n tn But my question is should I go back to taking the nasonex? Was it a good thing that the nasonex made it louder because maybe it was just cleaning my ear out from the fluid, since it stopped ringing completely later that night which it hasnt done all week. But I dont know because it was a lot more irritating that night then ever! When I got out of the hot shower. I'm starting to think maybe the hot shower could be whats really irritating it more.
Avatar n tn we went to ent dr ( pns ct )result nasal polyp in left maxillary sinus grape size and thick left nasal wall the dr put her on tri b im injection and nasonex twice daily but now 3 Weeks on the treatment no improve please i need consult ion
Avatar f tn Having an upper respiratory infection (cold) or allergies can contribute to this problem and last for several weeks. Decongestants (both oral and nasal) can sometimes be helpful. Sometimes steroid nasal sprays can be helpful as well. Having an ent rule out any lesions in the back of the nose (nasopharynx) is important for any adult with fluid in one ear.
Avatar n tn There are a lot of steroid nasal sprays that you might react better too. Nose bleeds are a common side effect so a different brand may help better. Others are ayamys, nasacort, or nasonex, plus many others. Nasal rinsing using a neti pot or neil med sinus rinse may also help flush out anything that is in your sinuses and there is a much lower risk of bleeding since there is no medication, it's just pure saline.
Avatar m tn Your 3 month and 16 week results prove that you did not get HIV 16 weeks or more ago. Nasonex is a nasal steroid medication and while some people worry that taking systemic steroid medication at the time of exposure may delay antibody responses, there is no suggestion that topical steroids such as Nasonex do this. Similarly, there is no reason to worry that Lipitor (atorvastatin) would hinder antibody response either.
Avatar n tn I am not sure if the concusions have anything to do with it but I like to know if these symptos could be something more then just enviromental alergies. I use nasonex, and antihistimines, I was on prednizone 5mg and also was on singulair even though I do not have asthma my dr took me off nasonex and put me on flownase with no change. if anyone has any idea of what this is please let me now.
Avatar n tn i bought some NeilMed Sinus Rinse Kit from Boots over here in UK. so it's pretty much salt water lol... but how do i use it to maximum effect?
Avatar f tn One therapy that sometimes works for this condition is a nasal inhaled steroid which temporarily decreases the inflammation, but does not cure anything. You might discuss this safe option with his doctor.
Avatar m tn I was paying $135 or so for Nasonex, which I thought was ridiculously expensive at the time. When Flonase became an OTC product, I thought Nasonex would become cheaper. That's what competition is supposed to do. But noooooo... I went to CVS today and the price was $218 for Nasonex. That is a total ripoff... Why did the price go up? So what's the difference between Merck, the manufacturer, and a robber with a gun on the street? Answer: The gun. Merck robs you without using a gun.
