531684 tn?1216745984 t even get to the end of the complaints on the internet about nose bleeds from nasonex! Well, my nose bleeds started with nasonex, the first time around was in the '90's, and no one seemed to know then that the nose bleeds were a side effect, although I kept having them and realized then that they occurred after using nasonex. Later, around 2007, I was told by a doctor, that it wouldn't be a bad idea to try it again, that it was actually a good drug.
Avatar n tn Hello my son has be having constant nose bleeds for about two years now i have taken him to the doctor twice and they have subscribed nasonex when nasonex side effects were nose bleeds what should i do?
Avatar n tn I use zomig nasal spray for my migraines and one of the side effects is nose bleeds in the side that you spray the medicine in. Probably not what's going on in your case... but since you get migraines, just thought I'd throw that out there just in case!
Avatar n tn There are a lot of steroid nasal sprays that you might react better too. Nose bleeds are a common side effect so a different brand may help better. Others are ayamys, nasacort, or nasonex, plus many others. Nasal rinsing using a neti pot or neil med sinus rinse may also help flush out anything that is in your sinuses and there is a much lower risk of bleeding since there is no medication, it's just pure saline.
Avatar m tn I am a patient... But I am can pretty much guess that the nose bleeds were side effects from the blood thinners and he was taking those because of his heart surgery. Brain tumors can have few or many symptoms. My cousin who recently passed did not know about his until one morning he woke up and was not speaking right. Never had a headache.
Avatar f tn Treatment has different effects on different people, and you could be experiencing something related to its side effects. If nosebleeds are atypical for you, you should contact your treatment nurse/physician and report it. My husband had very low platelets during treatment, and had clotting issues and persistent nosebleeds... do you know what your platelets were at last draw, was it recent?
Avatar n tn I am 17 years old and use an albuterol inhaler and have developed nose bleeds. I have go to the ER for a very severe nose bleed, about 2 hours of pressure didn't stop it and it was going down my throat. When I am sick I use my inhaler more frequently and I got nose bleeds at least 5 times a week when I am sick. So I was doing research and it looks as though nose bleeds could be a side effect. http://www.medicinenet.com/albuterol/article.
Avatar f tn yes, I started with a couple bad nose bleeds during migraine headaches. I had pressure/migraine/sinus headaches nonstop for months, with some type of blood/scabs/clots coming out of my nose on a daily basis. This went on for at least 5-6 months. They found brain lesions right after the initial nose bleeds and so really didn't care about the sinus issues I was having.
Avatar n tn my son 8 years old suffered stuffy nose which has beencontinously for weeks. Avatar n tn I have been taking L-arginine, L-citrulline, along with Alpha Lipoic acid and fish oil to prevent heart disease. My doctor told me to take aspirin. I exercise 4 times per week and have lost 10 lbs. Recently I have been having frequent nosebleeds. I cut back on the dosage of aspirin but still have nose bleeds although not as often. I don't know if the combination of supplements is the cause of the nosebleeds.
641243 tn?1235752084 Retrievers get nose bleeds alot it seems. I have friends with retrievers and they get nose bleeds for no apparent reason three or four times a year. You are assuming the worst prematurely. You obviously care for Wentworth very much to have spent the money that you have so far for medical emergencies. A few drops of blood is not an emergency at this point. Does he seem to be acting normal? Eating, drinking, etc.
Avatar n tn ) - is a surgical incision of the vas deferens… (not sure if you actually heard it!..), however as a huge worrier of getting the possible long-life side effects from it, I have to believe and rely on that there is still could be one but an effective nasal remedy against this symptom, thus to undergo this risky and unpredictable surgery could be unnecessary!
Avatar f tn I was taking a shower this morning and my nose started to randomly bleed and I eventually got it to stop and after I got out of the shower I blew my nose and then the other side started to bleed. Is his normal?
Avatar f tn My nose bleeds at least once a week just out of no where. In my first couple months I had a nose bleed twice a week... I never used to get them until I got pregnant... It makes me nervous but my doctor says it's nothing to worry about... Should I find another doctor? Or is it really not that serious?
Avatar f tn Anyone else getting nose bleeds? I've never been prone to em but this past week I've been having them like every morning..
Avatar n tn Common side effects of Nasonex are fatigue, headaches, a lowered immune system (not good) and others too. A few people I know who have used this for a year or more mentioned that they got palpitations, and one friend said his PVCs increased. But one can't be sure whether the PVCs increased because of the Nasonex. I already have quite a few PVCs a day and don't need more. I'm hoping some of you have tried Nasonex (or Flonase, which is similar).
Avatar f tn Nose bleeds are common in pregnancy, you can ask your dr about it though, I had nosebleeds cause my nose was sooooo dry even the slightest tap would cause it to start bleeding
Avatar f tn Yes every day when I blow my nose the right side is all red. I tried using a humidifier at night but it still bleeds. My gums too!
Avatar n tn t you visit your pharmacist and ask to discuss washing out your sinuses with a little jug sort of thing that you tip up you nose while you have your head on the side. Even salty boiled water (allow to cool down) put into an old nasal spray and sprayed up yout nostrils should help.
1402935 tn?1281958699 I am always congested it seems and have trouble breathing through my nose. Nasonex helps some. I was prescribed symbocort because when i get real bad I can't breath through my mouth either. I was told it may be allergies. Was given Zyrtec. My sinus mucus swelled up so bad i could hardly breath and my face turned bright red. I did not take it again after that. I tried just general Benadryl and had the same reaction. Red face hard to breath through the nose.
548980 tn?1214822412 I spoke to my family physician after doing some of my own reading and determined that the Nasonex which is a corticosteroid may be causing side effects of anxiety and low mood. I immediately went off the Nasonex and saw a quick improvement in the level of my anxiety, however have still not felt quite myself since. I found many reviews online of others having similar scary side effects after using ?Nasonex.
Avatar f tn I was on nasonex spray prn or I take 1 puff each nose at times for few years= 4 years. Now I noticed hair thinning and loss. I have stopped the nasonex now. Will my hair grow back as usual? I am so worried. Iam not taking any other medication. But on hair supplements- zinc, vitamin E and multivitamin. Started my hair massage!
Avatar f tn So could this be the side effects of Nasonex after a month later and I still need to wait a bit longer or is this something I should continue to look into? It's really affecting my life.
Avatar f tn Any of you having nose bleeds? Im 7 weeks and each time i blow my nose, i have a cold n runny nose, blood comes out.
613102 tn?1220843776 I started to get nose bleeds from habitually fussing with my nose, which became very dry and irritated from working in a place with a strong fan blowing 24/7. Air conditioning can cause the vessels in your nose to enlarge and stick out like varicose veins, so they are apt to get badly scratched. I also have sinusitis, which produces constant nasal dripping and a hard, thin crust that's difficult to remove.
Avatar n tn I thought most side effects would be neurological but dud find one site (for the drug fir people) that it can cause nose bleeds and to call a doctor promptly. 7 hours is a long time. Hope it has stopped or been checked by now. Other than that, could be a foreign body, infection, tumor or clotting disorder.
Avatar f tn Was the nosebleed from one nostril or both? If it was from one nostril, there could have been something stuck in the nostril that could cause it (foxtail or other foreign object). If it was from both, there are a few possible causes. Did they do a culture to see if there was anything living in the nose that shouldn't be there? By living in the nose, I am referring to nasal mites or to a possible fungal infection?
