would a nasal spray help with the clicking and head aches and feeling of a full head and ear??

In May, I went to the doctor - he said I had a ton of fluid behind my ears and he thought it was being caused by a sinus infection. He prescribed antibiotics (Z-Pak) and Nasonex. At the time I was having some congestion, ear pain/ache at random times and when I would chew/open my mouth. After taking the antibiotics for a couple days I could feel a ton of fluid sloshing back in my ears when I would move my head side to side.

Hello, All these symptoms can be a part and parcel of sinusitis or sinus congestion which can manifest as a result of allergies to air borne allergens.Sinusitis can cause headache,malaise and eustachean tube dysfunction also because of congestion of the sinuses with mucus.You need not be having any running nose or sneezing. I would advise you to get your sinuses evaluated from an ENT surgeon.Transillumination tests,X-rays and CT sinuses may be needed to confirm the diagnosis. Hope it helps.

I have taken Astelin before being cured of hepatitis C. Astelin doesn't produce serious side effects like you are claiming. Your symptoms maybe connected to hepatitis C but very much doubt it's connect to Astelin and Hepatitis C. Regardless, I can tell you that I experience nothing like what you are suggesting while taking Astelin.

After battling ear and sinus trouble for 4-5 months I'm finally going to an ENT next week. I've taken antibiotics 4 times, used Nasonex and also Astelin, and took a Medrol Dosepak. Still, my ears -- mainly my right one bothers me. On the side of my face (right side), ear/jaw area, it hurts when I yawn, smile, and sometimes just swallowing causes discomfort. Also, I'll sometimes get sharper twinges of pain in my left ear. Both ears make popping sounds everytime I swallow.

You might try to get in with your primary and see if he/she will prescribe some thing like Nasonex and/or Astepro. Nasonex is a nasal steroid which reduces inflammation of the sinus passages and therefore reduces allergy symptoms. There are many other name brands for that class of medicine. Astepro is a nasal spray antihistamine. It stops the sinus cells from reacting to allergens. There are only two meds in this category. Astepro and Patanase.

I have constant unsteadiness (feel like I need to lean on something or im going to fall over) and I get occasional "vertigo" spells. These usually happen when my head is stuffed, my ears feel clogged, and i have aching in my neck.

Recently I went to an eye, ear, nose specialist who prescribed Nasonex. Anyone have any success with it? I say that because I tried it now for two days with no effect. Do I need to try it longer? Anyone?

Hi, I have several suggestions. First, add a sinus rinse to your routine. They sound gros, but they are so effective. Another thought is to cosider trying Patanase instead of the Astelin. Astelin wasn't a problem for me, but it sucesseors Astepro and Astepro 0.15% were horrible. I felt better when I didn't use the med then when I did. I got very congested after using it and it lasted about 5 hour with constant, Astepro drainage. Lastly, it may be time to consider allergy shots.

I was paying $135 or so for Nasonex, which I thought was ridiculously expensive at the time. When Flonase became an OTC product, I thought Nasonex would become cheaper. That's what competition is supposed to do. But noooooo... I went to CVS today and the price was $218 for Nasonex. That is a total ripoff... Why did the price go up? Diagnosed with mild asthma last October - biggest problem was runny nose since he was baby (raised on soy didn't start 1% organic milk until 2). Tested for allergies and assumed it's pollution or air quality - Negative blood and scratch tests for all but cats...we have none. Since October - Flovent for asthma has stopped his cough which was excercise induced - Also runny nose caused the coughing.

This may be an overreactive question, but I don't want to cause any more PVCs or PACs then necessary. I've had them for 2.5 months now. I had the 30 day event monitor and he said they were benign. I have pretty bad allergies and my allergist wants me to take immunotherapy, but in the mean time wants me on a medrol steroid pack, and antibiotics. Just curious if you know this answer. Thank U.

The use of glucocorticoids (the medication is NASONEX, to the nose) can make someone immunocompromised? I used Nasonex for one month. I stopped using today, and I used the normal dose. I'll do a HIV test, so I need to know this question. Thank you guys!

t whether I should Just keep doing the Nasonex and nothing else and wait n see? or if I should take some Sudafed and see what that does. Im not usually a person that takes medicines a lot I usually just like to work out and exercise a lot and let my body take care of it. But I never had tinnitus for 2 months before haha...but I'm just wondering what would be the better alternative do you think?

Are any of you using something like Nasonex or Flonase? I do have a headache behind my eyes and feel tired a lot, but I had that before too. Common side effects of Nasonex are fatigue, headaches, a lowered immune system (not good) and others too. A few people I know who have used this for a year or more mentioned that they got palpitations, and one friend said his PVCs increased. But one can't be sure whether the PVCs increased because of the Nasonex.

On Sunday I thought I was coming down with a cold. Figuring it wasn't too bad I went to work and ended up coming home feeling like ****. I developed the typical clogged sinuses, sore throat, and cough I usually get. Here's the kicker: when I get a cold it starts out with a pretty weak case of the clogged sinuses and sore throat and then migrates into a nasty chest cold that takes a while to get over.

Went to a doctor today..I have a noise in my left ear sounds like listening to a sea shell and I hear echos listening to people talk or the tv.. he said ear was clean and gave me for two weeks Nasonex said if don't work come back..I don't have a cold nose isn't backup no sinus pain or head ache..is this normal to give allergy meds for ear problems ??

Nose specialist prescribed him with Nasonex 2x spray per day, Ceflour antibiotic, Anpro Loratadine, and Roximeth. But i worry about the STeroid effect to my son. . So i stop after taken 1 tablet of Roximeth after i found out this is steroid. Please advise any side effect if my son stop this Roximeth after 1 tablet ? (as doctor always advise me to finish it so i don't want to tell doctor) Nasonex also steroid spray right?
