A few months ago I started using Nasonex every day because of allergies. Shortly after my heart started acting up, I was getting short bursts of tachycardia lasting no more than 30 seconds, but disconcerting never the less. That hadn't happened to me for several years, since my medications were switched. My GP told me that Nasonex wouldn't do that but I stopped using it anyway. I had an appt with my EP today and I asked about it.
I am currently taking a homeopathic course of 8 months to treat nasal polyps and I am not sure that would workout well and i recently found that Mometasone furoate sprays aka nasonex spray can shrink the nasal polyp size effectively (i found it on internet).So can i taking the homeopathy medicine along with nasonex spray or any other treatment for nasal polyp. If your advise well help me to get rid of these problem then i will be thankful to you and MEDHELP for my entire life : )....
I have also been on a regimen of Nasonex and other sorts of nasal sprays that you need a prescription for. Once again, I saw temporary relief only to have the symptoms return.
This summer (and now September) of 2008 has been really bad. (I lived in Japan from July 2006 to May 2008, and for some reason I had few allergic symptoms there). I am, like ever, waking up in the middle of the night unable to breathe because my nose gets congested. I blow my nose, but nothing gets drained.
He put me on Nasonex, a steroid nasal spray, to reduce the inflammation. I also hear my heartbeat in my ear at times, and he's hoping that a month on Nasonex will stop that. If not, he'll do a CT scan and other work to see what's going on.
Here's my question: Are any of you using something like Nasonex or Flonase? I do have a headache behind my eyes and feel tired a lot, but I had that before too.
I am currently taking antibiotics, prednisone, nasonex, atrovent, asteline, and nasal wash before the sprays (I have never taken all three before, but I thought it may be worth a try). Also, I am going for another CT scan this week. I also take a boat load of vitamins daily. I walk three miles a day. I do not smoke or drink. I have also been avoiding dairy. If any one has any help to offer, it would be greatly appreciated!!!
I have had post nasal drip and severe sinus problems for many years now. I had an operation to remove a cyst and some polyp's about 5 years ago. This never stopped the post nasal drip, and i have since had ct scans done and it reveals that i once again have polyps. I seem to be getting different story's from every specialist i see, with the most recent one saying that the polyps wouldn't be causing you trouble and there is nothing he can do.
I will only take methylprednisolone 16 mg twice a day for 5 days only and momethasone/nasonex (500 mcg/g) two sprays a day for 1 month. I am worrying that it may affect my hiv test result in my 6th month? can they delay antibodies to show up or something? I don't know how long will those corticosteroid will stay in my body. But as you can see it is only for short term use.
I wish to be enlightened. I wish to move on and start a new life.
I am not sure if the concusions have anything to do with it but I like to know if these symptos could be something more then just enviromental alergies. I use nasonex, and antihistimines, I was on prednizone 5mg and also was on singulair even though I do not have asthma my dr took me off nasonex and put me on flownase with no change. if anyone has any idea of what this is please let me now.
I just got back from running with my dog, and my right nostril is like really swollen on the inside and it hurts whenever I sniff. How can I cure this, as it's making a runny nose and it hurts really bad on the inside.
My main concern is the phlegm/mucous in my throat. I take nasonex and prilosec (for suspected GERD) but nothing seems to help. ANy suggestions on what this could be or what I can do?
we went to ent dr ( pns ct )result nasal polyp in left maxillary sinus grape size and thick left nasal wall the dr put her on tri b im injection and nasonex twice daily but now 3 Weeks on the treatment no improve please i need consult ion
Have you tried going back to nasonex or asking your doc for a different nasal spray...there are many prescription nasal sprays out. Might could try zyrtec once daily especially during allergy season, as it is now over the counter. Some people find good results with nasal saline. It is inexpensive, shouldnt cause rebound. I would at least follow up with your doc for a recheck to make sure nothing else is going on. PS..elevate the head of your bed about 4 to 6 inches. May give some relief.
I have taken Amox, Levaquin, Avelox (antibiotics) Medrol Dosepak (steroids), Nasonex, Astepro (nose sprays), Mucinex-D and use NeilMed Nose Rinses which are the best thing I ever did. I strongly recommend it. You can buy it in any drugstore for about $12. It really helps. Today is a good day. I am only slightly clogged and in pain but some days I feel I should go to the emergency room just to get a diagnosis. It affects your whole life.
Sometimes steroid nasal sprays can be helpful as well. Having an ent rule out any lesions in the back of the nose (nasopharynx) is important for any adult with fluid in one ear.
I have tried Veramyst and Ipratropium Bromide nasal sprays along with nasal flushing, all they do is bring on an attack. The sprays trigger it almost immediately and the irritation continues for up to an hour or more. It doesn't matter where I am, so I know it's not environmental. I sneeze on the average of 30-40 times through out the day with congestion. This started about 1-1/2 months after I quit smoking a little over 3 years ago.
I also have cold hands and feet all the time, so I asked my doctor about a circulation problem and was told my circulation it just fine. The only thing I ever get perscribed is Nasonex, which does not help the situation! Once in a while Clariton pills will work, other time it does not. Clariton nasal spray works for the first two days then I get a rebound effect and I can't even breath through my nose during the day then.
I have had it for as long as I can remember, when I was young it caused me severe ear problems and I got vents in my ears twice. This helped the ear problems for a while but as soon as the vents came out they were back. The doctors didnt realize that it was my nose that was causing it until recently even though I always complained about my nose.
effected my day to day life drastically, dont feel like talking to anyone due to severe pain. My doctor gave me nasonex, decon sprays, Aeo Vit D3, singular 5mg, Ciprowin 500 mg , twice a day for 40 days, vozet. if the problem still persists he told me that I should go through a surgery. I have been using these antibiotics from last two years, but nothing gave me cure. parallalley I am even trying Apple cidar vinegar, Neti pot, String therapy through nose.
