Avatar n tn So i didnt end up falling asleep that night until about 6am in the morning because the ringing was bothering me so much. So I havent been taking the nasonex at all for the past 2 days.I was real nervous to take it because I didnt want the ringing to get louder. So I got a hold of my doctor on the phone and I told her how when I took the nasonex the ringing got real loud and everything. She said I dont have to take it. Just to stick with the antibiotics.
Avatar n tn Hello, I have been taking Nasonex for 5 months now and starting 10 days ago, I started experiencing weird sensation in the left area of my chest, it would only happen 3 to 6 times a day and it would feel like someone just tapped the someone of my chest with a finger or two, after 3 or 4 days experiencing this, I just completly stopped using Nasonex and have been off Nasonex for 5 days and 11 hours now.
1206005 tn?1265824205 I started with retracted eardrums and terrible tinnitus in both ears. Had tubes put in and right resolved but left did not. It has been a long horrible ride. If you live near Johns Hopkins or can get there go see Dr. John Cary. By the time I got to him it was too late and other procedures had ruined my eardrum. We he did my exam he at first said he would do graft tympanoplasty and changed his mind said it had been too long.
Avatar f tn s and one Neurosurgeon. Nothing has helped (Nasonex or MVD surgery). I have been very depressed as a result of this and I hope you can help me. If I press on my neck just under my chin on the left side it stops until I release pressure. Also, if I do the valsalva (plug nose and lightly blow) it stops for about 10 seconds until my ears re-pressurize. Can you please help me? I am so desperate. The past few months I've had a throbbing pain inside my ear.
Avatar m tn I generally don't recommend medications for ETD and tinnitus, as I am not aware of any well-controlled studies that support their benefit (with an exception of the benzodiazepine class for tinnitus, but this is rarely indicated) over placebo. I noticed that you have been recommending Fexofenadine and Neurobion forte (respectively) for these problems. Perhaps there has been some new research.
Avatar n tn I have been suffering from ETD for past 2 1/2 years. I have constant clicking and popping in my ear. Unfortunately, i only have one ear so i need to protect it as much as i can. With the popping and clicking comes constant ringing. I am tired of it and feel that it will eventually diminish my hearing. I am always asking people to repeat. I have been to 2 ENT, and no help. Taken Nasonex, claritin, sudafed but no help. Please advice as to what might help???
Avatar f tn l am sick of going to the docs with my ringing and constantly feeling blocked ear, l have seen 3 different docs and 1 ENT all of which say my ears look fine, they are not fine and at the moment my head is throbbing, my left ear ringing and feeling very pressurised, l feel very down and depressed and worried as in 5 weeks l'm off to europe :( This is supposed to be the holiday of a lifetime with my fanily and all l can think of is what is going to happen with my ears, can anybody help me?
Avatar m tn Hi, just had a question. I get ringing in my ears that both my family doc and ENT says are caused from allergies. It comes and goes, somedays it's barly noticeable, somedays it's worse, it's similar to if you clench your teeth, it's that same noise, I take nasonex everyday as suggested by my ENT. I do gave a clicking in my jaw, so now I'm half wondering if its TMJ, or if its because I still have my wisdom teeth?
464496 tn?1206767842 I recently discovered that my TSH levels were too high and at the same time had developed tinnitus which had become quite annoying over a period of about 2 months. I've been on an increased dosage of Synthroid (75 mcg) for 4 weeks now and have noticed a considerable improvement in the tinnitus...at times it's not noticeable at all and at other times it's just slightly noticeable.
29837 tn?1414534648 Recently I went to an eye, ear, nose specialist who prescribed Nasonex. Anyone have any success with it? I say that because I tried it now for two days with no effect. Do I need to try it longer? Anyone?
Avatar f tn I was on nasonex spray prn or I take 1 puff each nose at times for few years= 4 years. Now I noticed hair thinning and loss. I have stopped the nasonex now. Will my hair grow back as usual? I am so worried. Iam not taking any other medication. But on hair supplements- zinc, vitamin E and multivitamin. Started my hair massage!
531684 tn?1216745984 I keep getting told that I should file a class action lawsuit against Nasonex! The last nose bleed I had, my family thought that they were loosing me for sure. It's extreme, and let me tell you, I never had a nosebleed in my life before I used nasonex. I believe this is a very dangerous drug, and I don't know why it is still being allowed as a drug, or any steroid for the nose.
Avatar f tn An ENT examination, auditory brain stem response (ABR), a computerized test of the hearing nerves and brain pathways and CT/MRI brain may be needed to diagnose the cause for tinnitus. Treatment lies in treating the underlying cause. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
479581 tn?1317757488 I would like to trry any thing for tinnitus. I am having Tinnitus since 3 to 4 decades..please give me detas about the device.
Avatar m tn I was paying $135 or so for Nasonex, which I thought was ridiculously expensive at the time. When Flonase became an OTC product, I thought Nasonex would become cheaper. That's what competition is supposed to do. But noooooo... I went to CVS today and the price was $218 for Nasonex. That is a total ripoff... Why did the price go up? So what's the difference between Merck, the manufacturer, and a robber with a gun on the street? Answer: The gun. Merck robs you without using a gun.
Avatar f tn I had MVD of the 7/8th cranial never for tinnitus. I had vascular loop that the surgeon pulled out and placed a teflon sponge in place. I still have tinnitus and it's been two weeks. I had two days of quiet around day 4-5 post surgery. Does this mean that it's back for good? or could it get better with time. I assumed that if it was going to work it would have worked immediately. do you know?
Avatar n tn s pollution or air quality - Negative blood and scratch tests for all but cats...we have none. Since October - Flovent for asthma has stopped his cough which was excercise induced - Also runny nose caused the coughing. Started on Rhinochort in October-went to Nasonex, it worked better. Tried to discontinue medications in Feb and he had immediate symptoms again - returned to it. For the most part, both medications have resolved his symptoms.
Avatar f tn A few months later wicked dizziness set in, and tinnitus started up. I was diagnosed with orthostatic hypotension, pretty severe. They ruled out anemia or leukemia, and any electrolyte imbalance. Also tested my cortisol levels. All fine. I had a hearing test because of the tinnitus; no hearing loss in either ear was present. Ears a clear. Now I am having periodic tingling in my lips, hand, and feet.
Avatar n tn Nasonex does have a steroid in it, but isn't quite as bad (supposedly) because it's inhaled rather than a pill. But there are no longterm studies as to how it affects one's heart rhythm, etc. My ear/nose/throat doctor told me not to use antihistamines, allergy meds like Allegra or Zyrtec, or decongestants as they all can cause heart rhythm problems. He said to only use saline nasal spray (which didn't stop my ongoing allergy and sinus problems).
479581 tn?1317757488 I have had tinnitus 24/7 for the past 2 years. The noise is continuous and doesn't pulsate. It seems louder in my left ear. My ENT wants to discuss a neuromonic device at my next appointment. I had an MRI which ruled out a tumor as a cause of the tinnitus. My audiology tests revealed a slight sensory neural hearing loss in my left ear. What is your opinion of using the neuromonic device for treating tinnitus?
Avatar n tn i took him off the nasonex. i wasnt sure about the viral pathology but he was tested when he was little for diabetes.neg. i had already looked into rocky mountain and his symptoms dont match up.he was at the eye doctor when this all started because of the headaches. they found nothing but a little allergy reaction to something. the ear nose throat doctor was the one who put him on the nasonex, every thing else checked out with him too.
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried this technology yet? I was hit with Sudden Hearing Loss (Left ear) Nov.2012. After a 30 day prednisone treatment (horrible experience), I recovered some hearing with terrible tinnitus. I did some research and found this new technology. I visited an audiologist who introduced this to me and I'm trying it out for the tinnitus. The Neuromonics device looks like an I-pod and plays great classical and new age "spa music" that is adjusted to the pitch of your tinnitus.
