nasonex for children side effects

He started out on 25 mg with no side effects. Two weeks after he increased to 50 mg he began a headache - meaning it has not stopped. Here we are, going on week three of a headache. However, my son has been on other medications for sinisitis and bronchitis that could account for a headache. He now off of pulmicort, xopenex and nasonex. He is currently going through allergy testing as well. It is very difficult for me to try to determine the cause of the headache with so much going on with him.

I keep getting told that I should file a class action lawsuit against Nasonex! The last nose bleed I had, my family thought that they were loosing me for sure. It's extreme, and let me tell you, I never had a nosebleed in my life before I used nasonex. I believe this is a very dangerous drug, and I don't know why it is still being allowed as a drug, or any steroid for the nose.

Common side effects of Nasonex are fatigue, headaches, a lowered immune system (not good) and others too. A few people I know who have used this for a year or more mentioned that they got palpitations, and one friend said his PVCs increased. But one can't be sure whether the PVCs increased because of the Nasonex. I already have quite a few PVCs a day and don't need more. I'm hoping some of you have tried Nasonex (or Flonase, which is similar).

So could this be the side effects of Nasonex after a month later and I still need to wait a bit longer or is this something I should continue to look into? It's really affecting my life.

ve tried them all too and they all have a side effect,. Claritin does close to nothing for me, benadryl is fast and works for a few hours only, zyrtec I haven't tried yet, I tried the fenofexadine (allegra) 180mg a day, it works ok but I felt so tired the whole, even when I took it at bedtime and sometimes flushed for a few minutes where I felt as if I was having an allergic reaction. I was on it for a month taking it twice a day and my back and muscles hurt so much, I felt drowsy all day.

Hello, I have been taking Nasonex for 5 months now and starting 10 days ago, I started experiencing weird sensation in the left area of my chest, it would only happen 3 to 6 times a day and it would feel like someone just tapped the someone of my chest with a finger or two, after 3 or 4 days experiencing this, I just completly stopped using Nasonex and have been off Nasonex for 5 days and 11 hours now.

Her doctor placed her on Effexor for two-three years with moderate success but some side effects as sweating and poor sleep issues. She now takes a very low dose of Celexa and is doing well. If it were me, I think I might choose point (3) with one of the newer SSRI's (they tend to have fewer side effects). Nonetheless, there is no correct answer. Hope this helps ....

Have you tried the nasal spray? I think it works wonders. The problem with benedryl, other than side effects for me, is that I would suffer too much during the day time. I suspect the dose to my body is relatively minor, but not sure.

I was paying $135 or so for Nasonex, which I thought was ridiculously expensive at the time. When Flonase became an OTC product, I thought Nasonex would become cheaper. That's what competition is supposed to do. But noooooo... I went to CVS today and the price was $218 for Nasonex. That is a total ripoff... Why did the price go up? Since then we found out that Risperidone is know for side effects such as tardive dyskinesia. We are seriously concerned now. Will this be permanent ? What is the best way to examine this problem ? Thanks for any suggestions !

m no doctor but when I started taking all this stuff for asthma and all those side effects were listed I look up the things that could cause them. It will reduce the inflammation and thin the mucus, with no side effects. The first couple of days take 1000 mg. For me it works like a charm. In fact I had been on those dangerous inhaled steroids (like symbocort) and the B5 worked much, much better.
