I noticed that at first my ringing was real low but then all of the sudden as soon I took the nasonex my ear ringing got a lot louder out nowhere and it also kind of started in the other a little bit then that went away. But my right ear kept buzzing loud for a couple of hours but then later that night around 1am in the morning I noticed that I didn't hear any ringing at all.
think I must be going crazy. After having throat/ear issues for over a month, I went to the doctor 10 days ago. He said I had a ton of fluid behind my ears and there was inflammation. He also said that my right ear drum looked really dull. He thinks my issues are being caused by a sinus infection. I've been taking Nasonex and antibiotics for 11 days and am still having problems. Here is where I think it gets weird. My ear bothers me when I go outside even for just a few minutes.
He put me on Nasonex, a steroid nasal spray, to reduce the inflammation. I also hear my heartbeat in my ear at times, and he's hoping that a month on Nasonex will stop that. If not, he'll do a CT scan and other work to see what's going on.
Here's my question: Are any of you using something like Nasonex or Flonase? I do have a headache behind my eyes and feel tired a lot, but I had that before too.
For over a month I had been having some slight issues with my throat being irritated and my ears aching a bit. Sometimes when I would chew food I would get pain in my right ear and even my right eye would ache. Also, the right side of my throat feels a tad bit swollen. If you look at my throat it looks red and irritated. I had what I guess was a tonsil stone come out a few weeks ago.
Hi, have a culture and sensitivity test done to find out the correct antibiotic that the infecting organism is sensitive to and taking this medication for the required amount of days may help to clear the infection. Gently rinse the ear using a bulb syringe and warm saline solution. To ease ear pain, apply a warm washcloth or a heating pad set on low. Follow the instructions for ear drops and complete your antibiotic course. You can use OTC Acetaminophen also for relief from pain. Regards.
In May, I went to the doctor - he said I had a ton of fluid behind my ears and he thought it was being caused by a sinus infection. He prescribed antibiotics (Z-Pak) and Nasonex. At the time I was having some congestion, ear pain/ache at random times and when I would chew/open my mouth. After taking the antibiotics for a couple days I could feel a ton of fluid sloshing back in my ears when I would move my head side to side.
I've had a cold brought on from allergies for over a week. It caused fluid to build up in my left ear. I've been given lots of sample allergy pills and told to get Mucinex to help remove the fluid but neither has worked. Then I was given a prescription for an antibiotic which has not worked. I've tried all the home remedies to remove the fluid....ear drops, hair dryer blown at ear, heat pack on ear, popping my ears (which I tried and failed to do).
HAD BURNING IN MY EARS AND DR TOLD ME I HAD A BLOCKED EAR CANAL FROM SINUS IN THE ONE EAR AND THRUSH IN THE OTHER EAR AND PRESCRIBED KENACOMB OPTIC AFTER 2 DAYS I HAVE THE SAME MUFFLED SOUND IN MY RIGHT EAR AND ITS GETTING WORSE AND BOTH MY EARS ARE IN PAIN. GOT GIVEN NASONEX NASAL SPRAY TO CAUSE APPARENTLY I HAVE A Sinus abnormality anc sinus infection. I live in the outback so have no access to a ear specialist. Please help.
I'm 16, and I recently got put on amoxicillin for a really bad eat infection. When I went to the doctor, he said he saw no problems other than in my left sinuses which he assumed was the problem for my ear ache/runny nose/sore throat, etc. I've been taking nasonex, sudafed, and just today stopped taking my amoxicillin pills.
) After couple days of fullness went to doctor and said I had a bad ear infection, and have been treated with amoxicillan for past 10 days. Now, I'm back to the more "normal" symptoms, along with some jaw soreness and soreness to pressure/touch inside the ear canal (outer canal only...not going into the ear canal) I am thinking that I only need to give it a few more days for everything to clear up, but am looking for any other advice or things I should be watching for?
t really open my mouth all the way because of my ear hurting. Finally went to doctor today and he said I must have infection coming from my sinuses, which really haven't been bothering me much. Also both my ears have a lot of inflammation and fluid. He prescibed antibiotics and Nasonex. Hoping that starts working soon because I'm not feeling too great. You probably should go to the doctor and get it checked out before it gets as bad as mine.
hi i can not hear in my right ear, have a feeling of water in my head, clicking in both ear EVERY time i swollow, and headaches that last for the day and my eyes feel lick they are too big for the sockets.I can "POP" my ear open an d hear perfectly for about a 30 sec period. I saw the end of THE DOCTORS and the person had the same symptoms and there was a surgery to open the eustation tubes with a baloon. Any idea what my problem is??
we went to ent dr ( pns ct )result nasal polyp in left maxillary sinus grape size and thick left nasal wall the dr put her on tri b im injection and nasonex twice daily but now 3 Weeks on the treatment no improve please i need consult ion
The last few episodes progressed from scratchy throat to full blown ear/sinus infection and bronchitis in 3 days. The usual treatment plan is antibiotics, inhaler (with steroids), nasal spray (like Nasonex). I have been continuing the inhaler and nasal spray between episodes as well.
The sinus/chest x-rays have come back with nothing that the doctor was concerned about. I like my doctor, but I think it's time for another opinion or a specialist. I'm not even sure where to start. ENT?
I wake up every morning with what feels like lots of phelgm in my throat, and since I sleep on my right side, there is some fluid that seems to build up in my right ear. Nothing ever comes out of my ear but when I lift my ear off the pillow there is a suctioning sound, and when I wiggle my finger in there I hear stuff. I also get a flutter felling in my ear sometimes. Whew...........My main concern is the phlegm/mucous in my throat.
Soon enough I went to visit a doctor about it who took a look at my ears and told me they were perfectly fine but he gave me some xyzal and nasonex nose spray. After taking both the noise began to slowly fade away but this odd feeling in my ear has still persisted and every time I yawn I can still feel the slight uncomfortable/pain at the left side of my neck.
A couple times when I went to the doctor I was told I had fluid behind my ears (no infection), another time that I had an ear infection, and also had a sinus infection. I've been to my primary care physicain several times over this the past few months. Anyway, I finally decided to go to an ENT as this is obviously not going to go away on it's own.
So, as I've never been to an ENT before, I was hoping someone could tell me what to expect.
I just started using Nasonex (steroid nasal spray), and it really helps my allergies and sinus headache, and eye-related sinus problems. But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether Nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?
I have tried amoxicillin in case of a sinus infection, but that has done nothing, and I have also been using Nasonex daily to no avail. My first doctors visit came to the conclusion I had fluid in my ears which was causing the problem due to what they thought was ETD. but that was 5 days after the initial ringing. I've had two more doctor appointments since then, and they have done nothing to help.
My name is Kimberly, I am 40 years old. About 7 years ago I was treated with Nasonex in conjunction with a cpap machine for my sleep apnea. After that every time I bent over water would pour out of one side of nose. At first I thought it was blood, but it was the exact consitency of water. I stooped using the nasonex and the cpap ueats ago.
This has happened off and on for years.About 6 months ago I noticed the drip was back, as well as occasional water out of my ears.
they found nothing but a little allergy reaction to something. the ear nose throat doctor was the one who put him on the nasonex, every thing else checked out with him too.i didnt think it was meningitis becouse my family doctor checked his glands and neck stiffness.i do know that he did have the fungas on his scalp but i wasnt sure about all the other problems if they could be related to that also.
He said my right ear looked especially bad. He thinks the ear and throat issues are being caused by a sinus infection. He prescribed Nasonex and a Z-pak. Well after taking it for a couple days I could feel a lot of fluid sloshing around in my ears that won't come out. I ended up calling the doctors office because I only had a day left of antibiotics and my ears were still bothering me. They called in a prescription for Cefuroxime.
When I swallow it feels like a popcorn kernel is stuck there. The pain goes up into my ear. I have post nasal drip And the doctor only gave me nasonex. Here is a link to a pic of what it looks like.
