think I must be going crazy. After having throat/ear issues for over a month, I went to the doctor 10 days ago. He said I had a ton of fluid behind my ears and there was inflammation. He also said that my right ear drum looked really dull. He thinks my issues are being caused by a sinus infection. I've been taking Nasonex and antibiotics for 11 days and am still having problems. Here is where I think it gets weird. My ear bothers me when I go outside even for just a few minutes.

It does not sound like the antibiotic and Nasonex are working for you since you are still congested and you still have the ear/jaw pain. It is possible that you have a chronic sinusitis or you may be allergic to something (like a seasonal allergy). Either way, since you have had a failed course of antibiotics, I think you would benefit from an evaluation by an ENT. Good luck and sorry to have missed your question.

I'm 16, and I recently got put on amoxicillin for a really bad eat infection. When I went to the doctor, he said he saw no problems other than in my left sinuses which he assumed was the problem for my ear ache/runny nose/sore throat, etc. I've been taking nasonex, sudafed, and just today stopped taking my amoxicillin pills.

I've had sinus problems for years. Post nasal drip for one. I'm a professional singer and it's been tormenting me for years. Recently I went to an eye, ear, nose specialist who prescribed Nasonex. Anyone have any success with it? I say that because I tried it now for two days with no effect. Do I need to try it longer? Anyone?

At the time I was having some congestion, ear pain/ache at random times and when I would chew/open my mouth. After taking the antibiotics for a couple days I could feel a ton of fluid sloshing back in my ears when I would move my head side to side. It was still going on, though not as bad when I finished the antibiotics. I called the doctor back and they called me in another antibiotic prescription (Cefuroxime). Two months later, I was still having issues and I went back again.

I noticed that at first my ringing was real low but then all of the sudden as soon I took the nasonex my ear ringing got a lot louder out nowhere and it also kind of started in the other a little bit then that went away. But my right ear kept buzzing loud for a couple of hours but then later that night around 1am in the morning I noticed that I didn't hear any ringing at all.

I been having this noise in my ear..sounds like I'm holding a shell up to my ear and the ocean is there ..Plus I get echos or hear twice noise when people talking or the tv..the higher the pitch the louder it is in my left ear..I went to doc here and was told my ear was clean not red no wax etc..so he said doesn't know what it is for now..having me take nasonex a day for two week..no cold here not even a sinus headache..

ive been diagnosed with having a retracted right ear. ive been given nasonex nasal spray ( steriod spray ) by the hospital and told to use it in both nostrils for four weeks and in the mean time im waiting to have a MRI scan. ive taken the nasal spray for nearly 2 weeks now and there is no change. im still getting pressure constantly and the constant pressure noises are driving me mad yet alone the ear pain .

has me taking Nasonex nasal spray, Advair inhaler, and Singulair. Those meds seemed to help my breathing but I have noticed that my neck glands become kind of swollen from time to time. Like 2-4 times a month. Just swollen and achy but not a sore throat when swallowing. Also, the lymph node that is right at the base behind my ear that connects to my neck swells up from time to time and feels like a little squishy, moveable pea. Usually my nose and eyes ache/burn when all of this happens too.

hi i can not hear in my right ear, have a feeling of water in my head, clicking in both ear EVERY time i swollow, and headaches that last for the day and my eyes feel lick they are too big for the sockets.I can "POP" my ear open an d hear perfectly for about a 30 sec period. I saw the end of THE DOCTORS and the person had the same symptoms and there was a surgery to open the eustation tubes with a baloon. Any idea what my problem is??

He put me on Nasonex, a steroid nasal spray, to reduce the inflammation. I also hear my heartbeat in my ear at times, and he's hoping that a month on Nasonex will stop that. If not, he'll do a CT scan and other work to see what's going on. Here's my question: Are any of you using something like Nasonex or Flonase? I do have a headache behind my eyes and feel tired a lot, but I had that before too.

I wake up every morning with what feels like lots of phelgm in my throat, and since I sleep on my right side, there is some fluid that seems to build up in my right ear. Nothing ever comes out of my ear but when I lift my ear off the pillow there is a suctioning sound, and when I wiggle my finger in there I hear stuff. I also get a flutter felling in my ear sometimes. Whew...........My main concern is the phlegm/mucous in my throat.

I just started using Nasonex (steroid nasal spray), and it really helps my allergies and sinus headache, and eye-related sinus problems. But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether Nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?

ve tried all the home remedies to remove the fluid....ear drops, hair dryer blown at ear, heat pack on ear, popping my ears (which I tried and failed to do). I can't find anything else to try that doesn't sound ridiculous. I am open to any suggestions. The fluid is driving me nuts and I can't hear.

My name is Kimberly, I am 40 years old. About 7 years ago I was treated with Nasonex in conjunction with a cpap machine for my sleep apnea. After that every time I bent over water would pour out of one side of nose. At first I thought it was blood, but it was the exact consitency of water. I stooped using the nasonex and the cpap ueats ago. This has happened off and on for years.About 6 months ago I noticed the drip was back, as well as occasional water out of my ears.

they found nothing but a little allergy reaction to something. the ear nose throat doctor was the one who put him on the nasonex, every thing else checked out with him too.i didnt think it was meningitis becouse my family doctor checked his glands and neck stiffness.i do know that he did have the fungas on his scalp but i wasnt sure about all the other problems if they could be related to that also.

I have experienced ear/eustachian tube pain in both ears (although one is much worse) since a dentist appointment to repair a broken tooth 2 months ago. Doctors have suggested, and I have tried, decongestants, Garasone, Nasonex, Neti pot, Advil Cold and Sinus. Nothing is working. The glands in my neck are sore and swollen. There does not seem to be much, if any, good news to be found on the resolution of this condition. Any suggestions??

I've had a cold brought on from allergies for over a week. It caused fluid to build up in my left ear. I've been given lots of sample allergy pills and told to get Mucinex to help remove the fluid but neither has worked. Then I was given a prescription for an antibiotic which has not worked.
