Avatar n tn i took him off the nasonex. i wasnt sure about the viral pathology but he was tested when he was little for diabetes.neg. i had already looked into rocky mountain and his symptoms dont match up.he was at the eye doctor when this all started because of the headaches. they found nothing but a little allergy reaction to something. the ear nose throat doctor was the one who put him on the nasonex, every thing else checked out with him too.

Avatar f tn I've had a URI since Feb 4th (12 days) now and I'm a bit more worried than I was in the beginning. It never took me more that 3-5 days to kick a virus before pregnancy. Doc put me off work for a week and gave me a list of over the counter meds to take that only included Tylenol, Sudafed, and Chlortrimeton but I don't feel any better and my symptoms seem to be exactly the same daily.
Avatar m tn This is usually treated by treating the primary problem in the nose and sinuses. Another cause are viral infections, and you usually acquire these through droplet spread. It's true that a weak immune system can make you predisposed to these problems. I suggest you discuss these other possibilities with your doctors. If warranted, you can ask them if they can do a biopsy of the lesions to have a more definitive diagnosis. Regards and God bless.
Avatar f tn Factors to be considered during that time frame, in addition to viral infections, would be cold air, increased air pollution and indoor allergens, the concentrations of the latter that increase as houses are closed-up during the winter. You should definitely get a flu shot and, to the extent possible, avoid crowds and especially individuals with respiratory infection symptoms, during the winter months.
Avatar f tn Ask your doctor to prescribe Nasonex. I know it sounds crazy, but i had ear infections with little to no cure for 10 years. This last doctor said it was a sinus infection, and sure enough, no more problems. After symptoms go away, only use as needed or you will get chest congestion. Good Luck.
Avatar f tn The usual treatment plan is antibiotics, inhaler (with steroids), nasal spray (like Nasonex). I have been continuing the inhaler and nasal spray between episodes as well. The sinus/chest x-rays have come back with nothing that the doctor was concerned about. I like my doctor, but I think it's time for another opinion or a specialist. I'm not even sure where to start. ENT? Pulmonologist? Asthma specialist? Thanks for your help.
Avatar n tn Some medical professionals think that they are caused by chronic fungal or other infections, and polyps sometimes respond to treatment by Nasonex.
Avatar f tn I too have pretty much tried the same cycle of meds and have the same symtoms. The amox. for me did little. The Mucinex works pretty good at least it loosens up the phlem in chest. Claritin does nothing for me. I have tried these combos over and over and over. The humidifier made me worse and so did the steam breathing-big time. I have been to a pulmonogist (I am 43) and he suggested that humidifier/steam thing and whooo it made me worse.
Avatar n tn t whether I should Just keep doing the Nasonex and nothing else and wait n see? or if I should take some Sudafed and see what that does. Im not usually a person that takes medicines a lot I usually just like to work out and exercise a lot and let my body take care of it. But I never had tinnitus for 2 months before haha...but I'm just wondering what would be the better alternative do you think?
1206005 tn?1265824205 this all started with ear infections in both ears, i was given augmentin 625mg antibiotics to clear the infections and also ear drops. when i went back to hospital only the left ear cleared up. i was the a week later i was booked in for audio test and they found a problem still with the right ear.
Avatar n tn Antibiotics sometimes don't work for sinus infections, because sinus infections differ than other types of infections, and anyway, soon, a large swath of bacteria strains will be antibiotic-resistant. The Flip-Turn Sinus Flush verifies a Mayo Clinic discovery about the true nature of some sinus infections, but I will not recommend it until you have gone through your other meds. http://www.medhelp.
Avatar f tn I am having chronic bacterial and viral infections. Are the infections anyway related to autoimmune disorders?
Avatar m tn My Pegasys RN case manager called me on Friday to check in and one of the thing I mentioned was the sinus problems I've been having. She said that tx is very drying and that it affects everything including the sinus. She said post nasal drip, inflammation, bleeding and caking were not uncommon sx of tx. I was told to use saline spray routinely and that I should follow my PCP's advice of putting a little bacitracin up there when the sores get bad.
Avatar f tn After getting a URI over a month ago I took Antibiotics and thought I kicked it but shortly after the course of Ab's was completed I continued to suffer from congestion, cough, increasing sinus pressure, sneezing (frequently in sets of a half dozen or more), scratchy throat, insanely clogged ears where I feel as if I'm hearing underwater and cannot pop-yawn my left ear for over 5 days now.
Avatar f tn I was on nasonex spray prn or I take 1 puff each nose at times for few years= 4 years. Now I noticed hair thinning and loss. I have stopped the nasonex now. Will my hair grow back as usual? I am so worried. Iam not taking any other medication. But on hair supplements- zinc, vitamin E and multivitamin. Started my hair massage!
Avatar f tn or bacterial or viral infec. I have been on antibiotics and I have gotten some changes in the amount of Green and discolored mucus. I just can't shake this it is confusing for me since the antibiotic's do help while I'm on them, but when stopped it comes back full force. In the last month Ive been on cipro which was rx'd for a uti which I had no symtoms yet my urine was loaded with wbc's.
Avatar f tn - I say it like that because I have had the scratch test and injections and did not show to have any seasonal allergies. However, with my sore throat I have a lot of post nasal drip (possible cause of sore throat?). I take a combo of ibuphrophen, tylenol, and musinex to manage the pain. About 7 years ago I had reoccurring tonsillitis, saw an ENT and he put me on a strong antibiotic for 3 weeks.
531684 tn?1216745984 I am one of those 'supposedly' rare cases. I used nasonex in the past years off and on. Doctors kept saying it was a rare side effect to have nose bleeds, yet I can't even get to the end of the complaints on the internet about nose bleeds from nasonex!
Avatar n tn I just started using Nasonex (steroid nasal spray), and it really helps my allergies and sinus headache, and eye-related sinus problems. But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether Nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?
Avatar n tn I've had such a tough time with sinus headaches, allergies (watery eyes, plugged ears and tinnitus) and fatigue that I finally went to an ear-nost-throat doctor last week. He put me on Nasonex, a steroid nasal spray, to reduce the inflammation. I also hear my heartbeat in my ear at times, and he's hoping that a month on Nasonex will stop that. If not, he'll do a CT scan and other work to see what's going on.
Avatar n tn Hello, I have been taking Nasonex for 5 months now and starting 10 days ago, I started experiencing weird sensation in the left area of my chest, it would only happen 3 to 6 times a day and it would feel like someone just tapped the someone of my chest with a finger or two, after 3 or 4 days experiencing this, I just completly stopped using Nasonex and have been off Nasonex for 5 days and 11 hours now.
Avatar f tn My gyn said there is no other viral infection you can get from sex other than herpes and warts, but my doc said you can get vagina viral infections but they are rare and doesn't know much about it. And now you're saying you can get a large number of different viral infections in the vagina. Do these produce symtpms?
Avatar m tn they reported a person who already used it for hcv and cleared it by 24 injections GcMAF unblocks immune system in case of cancer and viral infections like HIV, HBV,HCV and many others by inhibition of NF kappa which in turn inhibits immune system response and keep these cronic infections.
