I am a 18 year old male and i am suffering from nasal polyps since i was at very young age approx since 7-8 years and that troubles me a lot and the polys are in the both of the nostrils and those are visible and im not sure whether the polys are present inside the nasal synus and as am a student i wont be able to concentrate on my studies and i have cold or nasal congestion and sneezing every day normally and that congestion becomes chronic when i come in contact with dust or when i get co
I just had surgery to remove very large nasal polyps and fungus from my nose three weeks ago. Since the surgery I have visited the doctor once a week for deep cleaning. He is able to get out whatever I can't. My cleaning routine entails daily sinus rinse, three times a day. I dont want this to comeback since this is my second surgery.
Today's office visit, the doctor said he could visible see signs of growth again of the polyps.
The pressure sensation could be due to sinusitis, nasal polyps, nasal congestion, internal ear problem or due to temporal arteritis. Take steam twice a day and see if the pressure is relieved. If it is then it could be due to sinusitis. Sometimes an Eustachian tube (tube connecting ear to throat) block can cause these pressure symptoms. Try valsalva maneuver (take a deep breath and blow while pinching your nostrils shut and closing your mouth).

it was just recently that i consulted a doctor and if found out that i have nasal polyps for both nose.he given me antibacterial (cause my mucos is yellow.), antihistamine and sodium choride spray for 2 weeks. when im taking the medicine my colds stop. but afterwards colds comes back. So, my doctor given me another nasal spray to be spray everyday for good and suggested an surgery for my polyp. aside from that also i can always swallow my thick mucus.
can you help me what to do?
We have the two things you write about in common. Blisters on feet and a husband with nasal polyps. My husband being too darn typical went for years without seeking medical attention for his ever growing breathing troubles. We moved to a "high allergy town" 9 years ago. He never had lived in a place like this before so I believe the area set him in this spiral. He was rushed to the ER after 6 years in this town for the inability to breath.

I am currently taking antibiotics, prednisone, nasonex, atrovent, asteline, and nasal wash before the sprays (I have never taken all three before, but I thought it may be worth a try). Also, I am going for another CT scan this week. I also take a boat load of vitamins daily. I walk three miles a day. I do not smoke or drink. I have also been avoiding dairy. If any one has any help to offer, it would be greatly appreciated!!!
I have had polyps and adenoids and nasal cavity surgery ,two years back,but since last week i am suffering with severe Sinus,first two days had blood in mucos from both nose and mouth,having administered with Ciproflaxcin 500mg and Alaspan,Aeo vit D3 &Otrivin nasal spray,the bleeding is stopped ,but the pain and irritation in ear & nose ,and dizziness and nausea persists.....What would be the best remedy ?????
I have had post nasal drip and severe sinus problems for many years now. I had an operation to remove a cyst and some polyp's about 5 years ago. This never stopped the post nasal drip, and i have since had ct scans done and it reveals that i once again have polyps. I seem to be getting different story's from every specialist i see, with the most recent one saying that the polyps wouldn't be causing you trouble and there is nothing he can do.
My doctor prescribed Pulmicort Respules and gave me a Neilmed irrigator to apply the dose. Do I fill the Neilmed with water and pour the respule in the water and mix, and then apply? Or do I just put one respule in the irrigator and irrigate without diluting? There are no directions...I'm guessing that I dilute the solution but does that impact efficacy?
They are not a disease but the end product of the ongoing inflammation that may result from viral or bacterial infections or from allergies.So in a way they are just a chronic inflammation of the nasal lining.Why nasal polyps form is still not known.But they are most commonly thought to be caused by allergy.
Rather than antibiotics,steroids(nasal and oral) are the main treatment of nasal polyps.Antibiotics are only for acute sinusitis.Surgery is done for polyps of large size.
s case, the CT scan showed that he had a polyp in his sinuses and nasal polyps can cause sinus infection which can cause headache, a polyp can also cause pain on their own without infection... like headache pain. If he experiences any bleeding from his sinuses I would suggest taking him back to the doctor or hospital, because then the polyp situation could maybe be serious if there was pain and bleeding.
I have also been on a regimen of Nasonex and other sorts of nasal sprays that you need a prescription for. Once again, I saw temporary relief only to have the symptoms return.
This summer (and now September) of 2008 has been really bad. (I lived in Japan from July 2006 to May 2008, and for some reason I had few allergic symptoms there). I am, like ever, waking up in the middle of the night unable to breathe because my nose gets congested. I blow my nose, but nothing gets drained.
would a nasal spray help with the clicking and head aches and feeling of a full head and ear??
4 in 2 weeks ive been put on rhinocort but do u think nasonex is better ? and rulide but finsihed but now he prescirbed me sudafed to treat it first day of taking it could the nausea be from my post nasal drip i really want to study and eat normaly and become a normal person can symtoms this bad run for soo long ?
I just started using Nasonex (steroid nasal spray), and it really helps my allergies and sinus headache, and eye-related sinus problems. But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether Nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?

Omnaris (ciclesonide) is a steroid used in treating the inflammation, congestion, sneezing, itching, and runny or stuffy nose that occur due to sinus infections or nasal polyps. Nasal polyps are treated by inhalational or oral steroids or with surgery( open or endoscopic). Although inhalational steroids cause fewer side effects than oral steroids, long-term use can lead to nasal bleeding or perforation of the septum and an increased risk of glaucoma.
I've used several bottles, or several months, of Fluticasone Propionate, which is a steroid nasal spray... I think it is the generic of Flonase.
It may be that I can't tell because I am in permanent atrial fibrillation. But I haven't identified any problems other than it doesn't help reduce my nasal congestion. I just switched to Astepro, not a steroid, and it too doesn't give my congestion much relief.
