nasonex

1402935 tn?1281958699 My sinus mucus swelled up so bad i could hardly breath and my face turned bright red. I did not take it again after that. I tried just general Benadryl and had the same reaction. Red face hard to breath through the nose. I was recently prescribed Allegra and am nervous to take it as it looks like it has a lot of the same medication as benadryl but stronger. Are these medications the same? Avatar f tn I have tried all of the antihistamines around, none with a decongestant. Benadryl will put me to sleep and make me feel tired the next day, so I try not to use that unless it is a must. Alergia made me dry up too much but then it started making me feel odd, so I waited a few days and tried Zertic, that was the same reaction, so I again waited a few days and went back with Cleartin, same reaction. My PC doctor did give me the Singulair since I do have Asthma.
Avatar n tn t whether I should Just keep doing the Nasonex and nothing else and wait n see? or if I should take some Sudafed and see what that does. Im not usually a person that takes medicines a lot I usually just like to work out and exercise a lot and let my body take care of it. But I never had tinnitus for 2 months before haha...but I'm just wondering what would be the better alternative do you think?
Avatar n tn Everything that the doctor already suggested does help, but I still have to use allergy medicine. I use Benadryl and Nasonex. Nasonex, because it is fragrance-free. Flonase isn't fragrance-free and I could taste that one going down the back of my throat through the nasal passages connecting to the throat. That affected me negatively in other ways, too. I'm glad my doctor changed my prescription to Nasonex.
Avatar f tn I was taking Zyrtec and Nasonex spray, but recently stopped when I discovered I was preggo. I just got benadryl, gunna give it a shot tonight. Would rather take something that won't make me drowsy though.
Avatar f tn My daughter takes singulair every night and still has asthma and allergies flare ups. Veramyst nasal spray works best for me and nasonex is ok. I don't know which antihistamine medicine works best, I've tried them all too and they all have a side effect,.
Avatar m tn I've been taking zyrtec in the mornings and I used nasonex right afterwards but it didn't really work... next morning ---- it's a bit better still hurts a bit...
Avatar m tn I used to take allergy shots but finally got too frustrated and stopped. In the past few years during spring time for 1-2 months I used the nose spray which is a steroid. Of all medications, this is the only one that has been very helpful. Since steroids are not recommended for those with Lyme, I'm curious what allergy sufferers do about this? I figure that this is relatively low dose and should be OK, but thought I would solicit opinions. Thanks.
Avatar f tn I was on nasonex spray prn or I take 1 puff each nose at times for few years= 4 years. Now I noticed hair thinning and loss. I have stopped the nasonex now. Will my hair grow back as usual? I am so worried. Iam not taking any other medication. But on hair supplements- zinc, vitamin E and multivitamin. Started my hair massage!
Avatar f tn Make caldo soup (: the help me the next day and I was sufferings from.allergy for.a.
Avatar f tn She doesn't snore, but she does suffer from allergies. She's on Claritin and Nasonex and Benadryl as needed. The Benadryl is at night because it makes her absolutely horrid and wicked mean. She's a restless sleeper though, like her father. She can toss and roll and spread out and move from one end of the bed to the next all night long. I don't know if she's just restless (like I said, her father is and I was as a child) or if it's something else.
Avatar f tn Here is a simple way to find out if your coughing is due to an allergy. Get some liquid Benadryl. When you start to cough take a sip of it. Wait and take another sip. If the cough stops you have an allergy of some sort. If if eat a food that I am allergic to, I cough. The Benadryl stops it cold. But because I have ingested the allergen I then take a full dose of anti-histamine.
633143 tn?1262133535 I have taken everything that my doctors have recommended and everything that they haven’t – Mucinex, Sudafed, Benadryl, Claritin, Tylenol Sinus, etc, etc. Antihistamines help a little but only for a few hours, and because of my job I can’t afford to be tired or loopy during the day. Mucinex has been working the best (taking it every night before bed), but it’s not taking it away. I’m still waking up with the draining and feeling very sick to my stomach.
531684 tn?1216745984 I am one of those 'supposedly' rare cases. I used nasonex in the past years off and on. Doctors kept saying it was a rare side effect to have nose bleeds, yet I can't even get to the end of the complaints on the internet about nose bleeds from nasonex!
Avatar n tn I just started using Nasonex (steroid nasal spray), and it really helps my allergies and sinus headache, and eye-related sinus problems. But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether Nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?
216239 tn?1233257361 benadryl is good, and will dry you up... if you are sneezing and stuffy, take sudafed, it has to be the regular staight sudafed, it can not be sudafed PE, my RE and ob gyn told me the sudafed PE decreases blood supply to the uterus, but straight sudafed is perfectly fine. I dont know about other states but in new york you actually have to go to the pharmacist to get the sudafed, as people were abusing it to make meth, so they have to take your drivers license info down..
Avatar n tn Hello, I have been taking Nasonex for 5 months now and starting 10 days ago, I started experiencing weird sensation in the left area of my chest, it would only happen 3 to 6 times a day and it would feel like someone just tapped the someone of my chest with a finger or two, after 3 or 4 days experiencing this, I just completly stopped using Nasonex and have been off Nasonex for 5 days and 11 hours now.
483397 tn?1208458504 The only current allergy medication I am taking is Nasonex. Which I just last night decided to stop taking, and it may take several days to flush out of my system. I will live with the allergies, and if the PVC's continue by midweek next week, I might try taking something like Benadryl only and seeing how that does.
Avatar m tn Suggestion of the two things I have mentioned can; not saying they WILL. I would try them in combination.
Avatar m tn He gave me some Nexium for the possibility of reflux. I'm supposed to return if I don't see improvement in 10 days and see where to go from there and discuss the possibility of a sleep study. But like I said, last night I didn't experience any gasping, coughing or things like that. It was more like every time I'd lay down I'd shortly feel short of breath and get real nervous-like.
Avatar m tn s what competition is supposed to do. But noooooo... I went to CVS today and the price was $218 for Nasonex. That is a total ripoff... Why did the price go up? So what's the difference between Merck, the manufacturer, and a robber with a gun on the street? Answer: The gun. Merck robs you without using a gun. Very clever, taking advantage of peoples' medical conditions.
Avatar m tn I know that many cold remedies have Phenedrine and/or other stimlulants and I am wondering if any Afib patients out there take Nasonex or Flonase wihtout any problems.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with Asthma when I was much younger and have been taking a variety of inhalers such as Albuterol, Nasonex, Advair and other varieties of medications. I have noticed the past several winters here (I live in Atlanta) the throat clearing and irritation have gotten worse. I managed to make it through with the medication but it is a pain in the rear. This past year, I have noticed the throat clearing had substantially increased.
Avatar n tn Started on Rhinochort in October-went to Nasonex, it worked better. Tried to discontinue medications in Feb and he had immediate symptoms again - returned to it. For the most part, both medications have resolved his symptoms. I did notice over the last year he has been moodier/yells at us/crys over little things - but attributed to his age. Live in notice over the last year he has been moodier/yells at us/crys over little things - but attributed to his age.
Avatar n tn I have also been on a regimen of Nasonex and other sorts of nasal sprays that you need a prescription for. Once again, I saw temporary relief only to have the symptoms return. This summer (and now September) of 2008 has been really bad. (I lived in Japan from July 2006 to May 2008, and for some reason I had few allergic symptoms there). I am, like ever, waking up in the middle of the night unable to breathe because my nose gets congested. I blow my nose, but nothing gets drained.
Avatar n tn I've had such a tough time with sinus headaches, allergies (watery eyes, plugged ears and tinnitus) and fatigue that I finally went to an ear-nost-throat doctor last week. He put me on Nasonex, a steroid nasal spray, to reduce the inflammation. I also hear my heartbeat in my ear at times, and he's hoping that a month on Nasonex will stop that. If not, he'll do a CT scan and other work to see what's going on.
Avatar m tn The momthasone is in VERY low doses and is delivered exactly where it is needed, and used. Very little if any of this medication will make it into your body to start with. Them methylprednisolone is an oral steroid. You are wise to be concerned about it. You are on a very low dose of that (for oral steroids) though and for a short time. I can't tell you how long it will stay in your system, but your should not experience any side effects from this very limited exposure.
