2 days ago I suddenly devoped pain in my left index finger at the knuckle. I can touch it and its ok, but if I move it at all in any direction, it hurts pretty bad. Late yesterday it started hurting some in the knuckle where my finger joins my hand, top and bottom. Its sore feeling in that area when I touch it. A vein on the right side of the finger is bulging out some and it seems to be slightly swollen. I can bend it, it just hurts.
While doing this, I had my hand in-between by body and the bed. After doing this prior for the previous years and never having any issue, my left index finger knuckle started hurting a lot after I was done. For many days I didn't care but now at this time, it hurts some days and other days it feels off. I am going to the doctor in a month for my annual checkup and am going to mention it but I just wanted to ask here to see if anyone might have any idea what the issue could be.
I cut the tip of my left index finger a couple times." constecutive weekends doing honey do's" I took care of it, went to the doctor 4 times saw a dermatolgist twice. I have been prescribed Clotrimazole and fluocinomide and used them as prescribed. My finger will heal over and with in a day after healing the skin kind of hardens and then starts cracking.
My fingers were fine for hours because I washed my hands and pressed on them fine. After a few hours suddenly my index finger tip hurts on that hand and nothing else. The wrist does not hurt. I then remembered what happened at the grocery store and think that might have done something.
I've tried putting ice around the wrist and finger multiple times for two days and it doesn't seem to be getting better yet.
I developed a painful callus on my right side of the index finger about 3 years ago. It's hurts when pressed, not really too noticeable either. The callus will build up, then I will use a pumice to bring it down. Sometimes I'll use the pumice excessively until I break the skin which results in bleeding and a patch of raw skin that burns. At this point the skin will appear almost as a circular dent until the callus part begins its process again.
I was playing football outside and my finger got jammed I think it got swollen and bruised and is hard to bend it's been a week now and it's not getting any better it's still brusied but not swollen it hurts to be touched on the bottom bone where it connects to the bone above it idk if I should go to the docter or not ?
(I'm 15 if it matters) I didn't hit my finger or injure it in any way, but it feels broke. I know it's not though because I can bend it. All of this is happening on my left index finger;
-It's hot like when you break a bone.
-I can bend it almost all the way until it starts to hurt too bad and I get a pain in the top knuckle even when I don't bend it, the pain is still there.
Over the past year my left arm often becomes numb/weak during a typical day and my left hand (index finger especially) suffers from tremors. After many Drs and blood tests my Physio suggested an MRI with interesting results...
RESULTS: MRI scan demonstrates C5/6, C6/7 and C7/T1 disc desiccation, uncovertebral joint spurring and moderate foraminal narrowing which causes potential impingement at all three nerve roots (C6, C7, C8).- on the LEFT side.
I have been developing numbness in the left index finger very recently,I normally take B12 pills in excess, does this have any influence or show any sign of any disease any kind, I eat a nonvergetarian diet, am slightly obese, I am worried about this numbness, I heard some sideeffects of overdose of B12 pills, can you post a reply regarding how to treat this numbness
So for a few days on and off my left index finger has been tingly. It's just the tip of my finger and it is on and off. I work as a server and use my hands a lot. I've been wondering if it's just a burn. It feels like there is a string around the first joint of my finger. Not to tight but just annoying. I can still move it and feel things so it's not completely numb just a little tingly.
My left index finger developed a strange twitch stop and starts again been maybe almost 2 months now.....it's really annoying so i sometimes turn my hand into a fist so i wouldn't get that twitch again...i work all day in front of a computer for over ten yrs now...and don't know if it's due to the way i position my hand on the desk...or it's a sign of something more serious.. i'm right handed, by the way.
Thank you so much for your nice reply. The pain went away for a little while but now it's back. It is actually on the opposite side of my finger from my nail. It's more on the area of my index finger that you see when you turn your hand palm up, the part with which you touch things. I don't know if that changes anything or not. It went away and I thought it was gone but here it is again. Strangest thing.
Back in March I was holding a little girl that was standing on my lap and she lost her balance and squatted down. My hand was behind her knee and my right index finger popped and then hurt really bad for awhile. I assumed it would go away and it didn't. A few days later I went to urgent care. They took x-rays and saw nothing and told me to take ibuprofen and continue to use it like normal.
My left forearm hurts and then my index finger separates and freezes in a weird contorting position...........happens often today....then my right hand freezes. Tried massage and bending fingers.....after this happens my left arm becomes tight. Blood pressure goes low............Please keep in mind I had a right radial break and a plate put in 6 years ago. Just started happening on a regular basis but happened in the past on a smaller scale. For 2 days my entire left forearm is aching.
Need to know if anyone can help me figure out what is going on with my right index finger. It hurts so dang bad, im in tears. I woke up to severe pain in my fingers, or so I thought. I got a human bite on my right index finger. I waited 5 days and only went to the doctor when I knew I had to. The doctor cut off the nail and drained the puss. He then put me on antibiotics. My middle finger is also shorter than my ring finger it is actually shorter than my index finger too. I only have two knuckles on my left hand behind my ring finger and index finger. But only on my left hand is my middle finger shorter. My brother's left hand is the same.
