Avatar f tn The ideal aim should be to lose about half kg per week or two kg in a month. Some can effortlessly lose about 3 kg in a month. Too fast weight loss can cause rebound weight gain. Also, it can cause other problems such as loose skin, flabs at unwanted places etc. Apart from losing weight, you need to tone up the body. A combination of aerobic, strength training and stretches works best. Many people find it difficult to fit an exercise regimen into their lives.
Avatar m tn Is that the ideal dosage or is it higher? I figure at my weight of 85 kg I was getting 1.76 mcg per kg. Now I am being dose reduced to a little over 1.05 mcg per kg (the guideline for adverse event neutropenia). There's really nothing I can do, just obsessing about the reduction. I am going to have two injections at that level before I see the doc again and hopefully go back to full dose. These will be week 8 and week 9 injections. I know it's not good especially this early.
Avatar m tn I have since lost about 15 KG and it is still going down @ 1 kg per month. I was happy to reach my ideal weight. However, I do not know how to stop further loss. I am Diabetic, so can not discontinue Metformin. Any suggestion ?
Avatar f tn How far along are you? Check online for ideal weight for your height and age. Then if you are approaching 12 wks, you need to have gained at least 1 (up to 2) kg. 43 kg is rather low as a starting point. Perhaps you can ask if you need to have a blood test to see why you are not putting on weight? There could be underlying factors that could affect your baby later on. I don't want to alarm you but I've realised over these short few weeks how important food and weight is during pregnancy.

Avatar n tn Hi, the fasting of 103 is just marginally higher than normal. the 116 2 hours after eating is normal. Suggest you take lifestyle measures to be sure that you maintain normal situation. This includes avoiding processed and sweetened foods, lower carb eating (unprocessed and plenty of veges is ideal, along with quality protein), regular exercise, and keeping weight at optimum level.
Avatar n tn Your ideal weight depends on your age, as well as your height and weight. A child's ideal weight will be different from that of a teenager and a teenager will be different from that of an adult. There are a variety of exercises that will burn fat.

Avatar f tn Hello, losing 2-4kg per month is a healthy amount of weight loss. The key is to lose small amounts of weight so the body can adjust and keep it off. 10kg weight loss can most likely be done, but it would involve alot of deprivation which wouldnt be sustainable for long term weight management. so what would happen? youd get the 10kgs off and then your body would want to go back to where it was. so you'd gain the weight back... and often put on more than you were initially.
Avatar n tn 59 kg is 130 lb. There are many factors, but one chart suggests if you are 5'4" or 5'5", that could be an ideal weight. The charts don't mention that some people have bigger, denser bones, longer or shorter legs by proportion, and more or less muscle. Looking good and being healthy is more about having muscle and having a strong heart and effective lungs. To feel good and turn heads, WORK OUT.
