Muscles sore working out

Common Questions and Answers about Muscles sore working out

sore

Avatar n tn hi, Lifting weights can certainly make you sore especially the next day if you over do it and are not used to working out. OR if you added more weight to what you normally use. Lactic acid builds up and it takes awhile to get worked out. Take a nice hot bath perhaps with some empsoms salts, they relax your muscles. Over the counter magnesium may help also. Make sure you keep moving and stretch. But if you are that sore wait till you feel a bit normal again before working out.
Avatar f tn I'm 31 weeks and just started working out again since I first found out I was pregnant. I have an athletic build and am in pretty good shape. I keep my jogging at a minimum speed and under a mile a day and lift very light weights not to overdo it. Doctor says its fine but everyone tells me I shouldn't run. Anybody else in the same boat and if so up until what week in your pregnancy did you stay active?
20927897 tn?1681118903 Sore muscles are inevitable if you workout daily. There is only one way to avoid soar muscles and continue working out. Studies show that warming up your muscles before exercise may be better than stretching them. It wakes up your muscles by increasing blood flow to them. To warm up, do light versions of certain exercises. These include slow jogging or biking, jumping rope, or lifting light weights. Warming up before workout helps protect you from muscle strain or injury.
Avatar n tn My muscles are so sore & They feel so heavy, like when I lift them to get in the car. I also have so much trouble with my feet I can't exercise. I have diabetes & I really need to excercise What do you think it could be?
Avatar f tn My muscles and joints have been really sore the past couple of days and I haven't done anything for them to have reason to be sore? Especially in my left leg, foot and shoulder! I hate it bc I'm 26 years old and should be able to run and play with my kids and just can't!
Avatar f tn I'm 33 weeks and have been working out everyday. Just don't over do it and don't lift anything really heavy. I use 8 or 5 pound weights on my arms. But if you are unsure just check with your doctor.
1205562 tn?1554747006 I feel like my lower abs are sore from working out and the muscles between my legs are the same way! This is most definitely the worst part of pregnancy... luckily it's almost over!!
Avatar m tn How long does it take to lose muscles after gaining them without working out?
Avatar m tn AND IT HAS BEEN WORKING FINE. THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS I HAVE BEEN WAKING UP WITH SORE JOINTS AND MUSCLES IN MY ARMS AND KNEES AND A NUMB FEELING IN MY HANDS. MY DOCTOR HASN'T CHANGED ANY OF MY MEDS NOR HAVE I TAKEN ANYTHING DIFFERENT. I ALSO NOTICED I HAVE BEEN WAKING UP WITH HEADACHES, DRY MOUTH, AND SOMETIMES BURNING EYES. I ALSO NOTICED I HAVE BEEN VERY SHAKY AND HAVE LOW ENERGY EVEN AFTER 8 HOURS SLEEP.
Avatar f tn Anyone still working out while pregnant? Prior to this I was used to doing intense spin classes 3+ times a week....I haven't worked out since finding out I'm pregnant (5 weeks) but the doctor said it's ok. I'm nervous about doing it....anyone else in the same boat? I'm typing this as I'm waiting do my spin class to start...
Avatar f tn I get cramps in my calves in my sleep which causes sore calf muscles. Try eating more potassium enriched foods such as bananas, spinach, or kale. It will help a little. But from what my doc tells me it's pretty common.
559862 tn?1311516637 Were any of you ladies working out rigorously prior to becoming pregnant and how long did you continue working out??? I also lift weights about once a week and wondered if anyone on here has had experience with lifting while pregnant. From what I've found (of course always ask your doc) that you can continue lifting just not your max and as you get farther in your pregnancy cut the weight in half?!?! Thanks in advance for any replies! p.s.
988694 tn?1332359479 I am not an athlete, but I like working out. Despite all the exercise I do I can not get my muscles toned (defined). They look weak and saggy. My trainer said I had to eat more protein, but I am confused. I am not leveled yet. Despite taking my medicine and having good numbers I am still very syntomatic. I am just wondering if being hypo causes muscles weakness. I read something from Dr. Broda and he says too much protein is not good for hypo people. Then I read www.thyroidbook.
Avatar n tn Yeah I gainned 20 from the thyroid disease myself. Lazy and crappy all the time. I started to work out then stopped. I started to work out then stopped. It's hard it's like when you feel good about yourself you wANT to work out but when you feel like this all bloated and yuck it's so hard to get going. I can relate to you SO much. As a matter of fact as I sit here holding in my stomach at my desk I keep thinking "well I should go out walking at lunchtime" but instead...
Avatar f tn I'm a college student and I've tried working out in the past but I never stick with it but I have a lot of free time right now and I'm 25 weeks and I wanna start again and I've ready that you have to start slow and blah blah blah but my boyfriend is freaking out and thinking I'm gonna harm the baby. I'm not planning on going balls to the all but can't I start slow and work up to a good running routine now while I'm still comfortable and not huge yet??
Avatar m tn Just curious for all those that are taking hydrocortisone do you take a little more if you are working out heavy ? like weight lifting or high intensity stuff..... does it matter ?
8924846 tn?1410572901 The past few weeks my muscles have been sore and stiff. Sometimes right when I wake up. I'm a pole dancer and even though I haven't been dancing as much as usual lately I still do my normal stretching routine. I'm not really sure why I'm so sore and stiff. Has this happened with anyone else? I'm 13 weeks 4 days.
215021 tn?1224882457 The doc was very happy with that and seemed to think that the remaining half of thyroid was working ok. So why do I feel so bad? Have had another poor night sleep and joints and muscles still very sore. Hands are worse. Very hard to type! J x.
8765540 tn?1407588917 I had my second csection 7 months ago. Well im getting back to working out daily, and I want to work on my stomach.
