Avatar f tn My muscles and joints have been really sore the past couple of days and I haven't done anything for them to have reason to be sore? Especially in my left leg, foot and shoulder! I hate it bc I'm 26 years old and should be able to run and play with my kids and just can't!
Avatar f tn Well, some women exercise their entire pregnancies including running. (jogging type of running). Maybe you did overexert yourself though (which trust me, if I broke into a sprint right now, I'd have aches and pains as it would shock my muscles and ligaments as they have NOT been running lately. :>)). I had a lot of pressure in my vagina when in my third trimester. That is normal. See how you feel and maybe it was just a bit much for you.
666921 tn?1254990618 Does anyone feel like their muscles/tendons are 'over-sensitive' - easily over-worked/pulled ?

Avatar f tn It felt like I had glass in the joint. I ended up having to get the best running shoes I could afford from a specialist shop that videoed my running style etc. I have since then been running for nearly a year now with few problems. I still get some pains if I run on uneven ground but if I stick to paved areas, no problems. Good luck.
Avatar f tn ve stood up and walked around my stomach feels as though the muscles are pulled...I went Christmas shopping yesterday and was walking around a fair bit so I just thought it was that, but it's happening again today. I'm 36 weeks on Monday, could it have something to do with my stomach continuing to stretch? Or did I do some damage yesterday when I was walking around all day? Is this something I should be getting checked out?
973741 tn?1342342773 Mom, is he running cross country in cross country terrain, or on hard pavement, or on a track? Is he used to walking around and playing barefoot, or has he always worn heavily padded shoes? Does he also work on strength -- it sounds like it would be hard to cross-train with so many running days. But true cross country, and I know they don't do this anymore in a lot of places, used to be a lot of running on dirt and grass -- thus the name cross country.
Avatar f tn I get cramps in my calves in my sleep which causes sore calf muscles. Try eating more potassium enriched foods such as bananas, spinach, or kale. It will help a little. But from what my doc tells me it's pretty common.
Avatar f tn i am also a runner and have been running since 77. i am in love with the feeling of running and don t know any other way to get to that "place" BUT i agree with moose on this one every line that he wrote. if i were you i would get my levels in the best place and start looking forward to next year. i ran endurance for many years and now i am very happy running just a few miles with lifting and yoga. many times i ran too far and too long and didn t pay attention to feeling bad.
Avatar m tn Well, this would be a difficult question to answer without knowing the spinal level of the DDD and how mild/ moderate it is. Typically activities are preferred to strengthen the back muscles, unless it is uncomfortable for the patient; however a few activities like twisting the spine or jumping may put strain on it. I would suggest consulting your treating doctor about the level of activity that you could possibly indulge in, before making a start. Hope this is useful. Take care!
8924846 tn?1410572901 The past few weeks my muscles have been sore and stiff. Sometimes right when I wake up. I'm a pole dancer and even though I haven't been dancing as much as usual lately I still do my normal stretching routine. I'm not really sure why I'm so sore and stiff. Has this happened with anyone else? I'm 13 weeks 4 days.
Avatar m tn Since the toliet incident, I have noticed my throat feels strange and sore muscles in the back of my neck and my back feels tight and a bit sore. I do not have a fever or headache, nor sensitivity to light. But, is it possible that I contracted meningitis from the toliet water after using the pipe and handling the keys? Last Sunday, I started the gym again and did vigorous ab exercises (sit ups and crunches) after a year-long haitus. I also did arm exercises with weights.
Avatar n tn m 32weeks, I raced my little cousin from the end of the driveway to the door the other day, and it kinda hurt my stomach for a minute or two after. So I couldn't see running more than that.

8323481 tn?1405705654 In tapering, I am already experiencing extreme muscle pain in hips, thighs, calves, and my feet are sore!!! Came home from work after 5 hours at the garden centre. This was a shift I breezed through while taking opiates. I embrace the pain though because it is a sign that I am withdrawing off Subs. Had a hot bath and was in bed by 8pm. Took my prescribed dose this morning, and am feeling better. THAT's what has me cheesed off!!!! These subs are becoming a form of relief for me!!!!
20927897 tn?1681118903 Sore muscles are inevitable if you workout daily. There is only one way to avoid soar muscles and continue working out. Studies show that warming up your muscles before exercise may be better than stretching them. It wakes up your muscles by increasing blood flow to them. To warm up, do light versions of certain exercises. These include slow jogging or biking, jumping rope, or lifting light weights. Warming up before workout helps protect you from muscle strain or injury.

The last month or so I have been waking up with sore joints and muscles in my arms and knees and my hands have been tingling. I also have been waking up with headaches, dry mouth and burning eyes. Avatar m tn You mention running. Running on a treadmill is different from running outside, and often can lead to hamsting tightness and spasm. I would suggest a program of hamstring stretching, as well as hip flexor stretching and strengthening. This should be combined with exercises to build core strength and balance. On the stress side, relaxation is very important. Consider relaxation techniques such as meditation. reiki, acupuncture, and massage therapy.
Avatar n tn Cardio helps maintain your weight so I would recommend more strenth training than cardio but if you are worried about running building up your leg muscles you could do your cardio on an elliptical machine or a stationary bike. Good luck!
