Common Questions and Answers about Muscles sore for a week

sore

It is the exact same spot on both feet, and there does not appear to be any bruising or anything. This started about a week ago. A day or so after, my right shoulder started hurting very badly. It feels as if if I pulled a muscle in it or something. I will add that I do not work out (haven't in a few months) so there is no reason my muscles should be sore. Anyways, my shoulder hurts the worst.
I get cramps in my calves in my sleep which causes sore calf muscles. Try eating more potassium enriched foods such as bananas, spinach, or kale. It will help a little. But from what my doc tells me it's pretty common.
My name is Matt im 18 going to turn 19 in a week, and i have been getting some extreme shoulder pains, this pain happened once before i went to the hospital the doctor said it was my routrecup in my shoulder because i had a hard time moving my arm in any angle, that pain woke me up from my sleep and i had to go to the ER he took X-rays and said nothing showed up but he assumed it was the cup, but about 4 months later...
the back of arm arm used to twitch like crazy until I had a c4-6 fusion performed. I think a visit to a neurologist is in order. it only takes a month to get an appt with a neurologist in the Netherlands? - here in America it takes 6 - 12 weeks (and that is with private insurance) !! Unless it is an emergency, like a stroke - then the hospital 'assigns' a neurologist to your case.
I remember (even a few weeks after having him) that I could not even stand in one spot for over a minute. It felt like my feet were bruised. Totally normal! Just from the extra weight you got going on! It will go away a few weeks after having your baby. What you are describing see like "pregnancy aches and pains"! Hang out..you only have a few more weeks!
It might be described as a very intense heartburn paired with upper rib soreness. During another episode about a week from the first serious one, I decided to head to the doctor. Another EKG was performed and came back without any issues. We also did bloodwork and all the tests came back within normal range. The doctor suggested this could be a form of anxiety attack and prescribe xanax to take during episodes and also kapidex to see if it affected the heartburn symptoms.
i have had these pains for a bit like a week today i went into the hospital and they said all it is, is braxton hicks all the nurses do is check my baby's heart beat and my uterus to see if anything is happening and nothing and they also checked my cervics and they said last sunday that my cervics hasnt come around yet. i know it sounds silly but my baby is still moving around when i was 36 weeks he slowed down in movement but now he is moving more.
Hi there. Just a quick question for you. Eight weeks ago I had unprotected sex with another guy but he didn't ejaculate inside me. Two weeks later I developed gonorrhea which has now cleared. A week or so later I developed fordyce spots on my lips and they are now developing on my penis shaft. I took a HIV test six weeks later and it has come back negative but I am still worried about it.
I am 45 years old guy who have been training and competeing my whole life, running, biking and cross country skiing. For the last 10 years I have been exersicing 3-5 times a week. For the last 2 years, however, I have had a serious problem: my thigh muscles are chronically stiff and sore. In particular, the rectus femoris and vastus lateralis are sore. It feels as if I have just fininshed a hard session with uphill running, even when I just climb a few stairs.
The last time I had it really bad I went to the chiropractor and he said my pelvis was slightly out. I think I'm going to pay him a visit next week and get a treatment...it helps with labour too if you get treated right beforehand. I've been having almost like a muscle strain in my lower abdominal muscles, especially at night when I'm trying to move from my left to my right and vice versa.
Now that the surgery is over I can say that it wasn't that bad. Right after surgery I had a bad sore throat (lasted a week) due to the breathing tube they used during surgery and also had a drain coming from the incision (drain removed after 3 days), a sore neck, but no pain coming from the incision. I had swelling above the incision and I had difficulty swallowing for a few months which got better and better with time, until the swelling above the incision went down.
Saw a rheumatologist at the end of March, he tested for parvo and thyroid both results were negative. I also went to see a urologist, everything looked ok to him. Muscle pain subsided for a few days in February(3 days), but came back. The skin on my stomach, arms and chest and armpits has become sensitive and feels like it is burning and sometimes itchy like fiberglass was in it (started last week). Throughout the day my left wrists will have red dots appear then go away.
I recentley had a bad flu with dry heaves, since last week I have had a very sore chest muscle and a burning sensation when I eat. Should I be concerned or will it clear up on it's own?

I cannot give you a clinical diagnosis over the internet, so my adivce is limited and should not substitute for a formal medical opinion. Headaches can be intimately connected with pain and muscle spasm in the neck. Perhaps the best idea is to deal with the neck problem first - with physical therapy, muscle relaxants, botox to relieve the muscle spasm, then see what residual headache is left if any.
But I cough so hard and so much that all the muscles in my stomach are sore, my rib pops, and my neck and back are sore all from coughing. I almost gag because I'm coughing so hard, like if I'm going to cough up my stomach. I have to take very shallow breaths, for if I take regular breaths it makes me cough more. I had a severe headache yesterday, and it went into my neck. I'm tired, but then again I'm tired all the time. Can someone tell me what this is or it could just be a virus.
Yesterday I had some drum major lessons so that COULD explain the arms though I've never been sore as a result for the past 3 weeks I've had the lessons. Today I was also in a MAJOR brain fog and was so exhausted. My math teacher even noticed this. She asked if I was having a bad day or something. Also that "time of the month" came for me over a week ago. It started out so light I didn't even think it was it. But then 3 days later it was evident.
Finished my 24 weeks of triple last week, slowly feeling better stil have sore muscles and legs. Once a day I'm getting the clogged ear feeling. I did a year of infergen back in 2007 and after three days i was back to normal. Seems to be taking longer this time. How's everyone else feeling a couple weeks after finishing.
I quit working, Been keeping busy baking cookies for Christmas and fixing computers for others. I am sore. Very sore. Should be working kind of sore. This just doesn't seem right, since I am able to rest when needed. This bites! I thought I'd feel better, but that's not happening. Went for a hike in the woods last week. I got maybe 2 blocks and had to quit. I usually do at least 3 miles. Just wasn't going. My hip was the main cause. I had to rest about every 4 or 5 steps and regroup my muscles.
No I am not on any meds at all and waiting for follow up appt in next couple of weeks. My TSH level was 2,49 as of a 10 days a go, (which was about 2 weeks post op'). The doc was very happy with that and seemed to think that the remaining half of thyroid was working ok. So why do I feel so bad? Have had another poor night sleep and joints and muscles still very sore. Hands are worse. Very hard to type! J x.
Whether psychosomatic or not, try keeping to a healthy diet, engaging in exercise (check with your doc for any limitations he/she may suggest) on a regular basis (once a day if possible, even if just a walk) and engage in social activities. Keeping active does a lot to reduce stress and may help with some of your symptoms, psychosomatic or not.
Your muscles have less oxygen to power them just now, after a while you'll adjust. I could barely make it up the stairs at work at week 12 and then at about week 20 something or teen something I found myself running up the stairs one day. Woah!!!
Anyways it's not the bones it's the muscles, they are just so sore, like if I stand up or move my legs up on the couch or something. It's like achy feeling. My mil kept thinking i was having contractions but I don't think I was I mean it hurt but I wasn't dying or anything, just a little painful. Not a crampy feeling just achy. I didn't do to much last night and today did some cleaning, but she did most of it, (house is on the market) so we have to stay on top of things.

I feel a lot like you do, except I don't notice it as much because I had to stop working in October. My muscles don't get much of a workout. I get a sore back just sitting at the computer. Muscles and joints both. I still get the carpel tunnel feelings sometimes, but again, not like you do because I can't do much of anything. My heart is weak and any activity or stress makes it hurt, sometimes quite badly. I haven't had the numbness and tingling, or limbs going numb at night.
It's also mostly around where the bra wire is to and then it exceeds upward. I have been eating high in salt foods lately too so I might be retaining water.
I am excercising 3 times a week, just a moderate walk for 40 minutes but it does not seem to be helping. The pain often gets so bad that i cant walk. Can someone tell my what this is and/or why it is happening?
