Avatar m tn I am 22 and I have not had sex before of any kind. What this could be ? Will a Bacitracin Ointment helps to remove it ? Thanks.
1415174 tn?1453243103 I am allergic to all of the antibiotic topicals (bacitracin, metrogel, neosporin, clindaymin topical (cleocin T), mupirocin) as well as two steroid topicals and possibly tetracycline as well.
Avatar n tn Application of bacitracin creme would be fine, looks like folliculitis only.
Avatar m tn Is there something else i should do or do i have a different problem all together? I have also used neosporin polysporin bacitracin, rubbing alcohol(but that left a rash) antibactieral hand cleaner.
Avatar f tn m allergic to Murpirocin, neosporin, bacitracin, clindamycin, metronidazole all topicals and had a syncope from a tetracycline type drug. My brother is anaphylaxic to penicillin. It sounds like you can tolerate Mupirocin but the topical isn't enough for your tissue infection. Celluitis can be pretty deep in the tissue so if it isn't working either the bacteria are resistant to it or it isn't penetrating the tissue well enough.
Avatar m tn I went to a doctor and he prescribed roxithoromycin and mupirocin. They got better after 2 weeks but after a few days many pimples appeared all over my body. I went to a doctor again and she prescribed erythromycin and more mupirocin. Using these antibiotics helped to control the disease but never caused it to disappear completely. After finishing the treatment course the pimples quickly came back in large numbers.
Avatar n tn You might try putting an antibiotic ointment like bacitracin or neosporin in your nostrils every night for a month, because staph germs hang out there and sometimes "seed" other body parts. Do not pop these lesions. This condition is commonly seen from the friction caused by wearing tight clothing. Folliculitis starts when hair follicles are damaged. In most cases of folliculitis, the damaged follicles are then infected with the bacteria Staphylococcus (staph).
Avatar m tn In addition, please don’t use any cosmetics on the penis, instead use some topical antimicrobials like Bacitracin or Lotrimin. Also corticosteroids and topical immunosuppressants can be used but they are available under prescription. Also retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. In case the symptoms persist then please consult a urologist/dermatologist for evaluation and antimicrobials and steroids prescription. Hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn Hello again, i've read a few questions and answers on this website regarding skin problems similar to mine and have noticed a couple of times that Dr's suggest a bacitracin ointment to be applied to the nostrils can help control the 'staph' bacteria that could cause problems elsewhere.

Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case. Also then get herpes blisters ruled out. Hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
Avatar f tn The lesions lOOK just like what I see online for impetago photos and the derm did just give me mupirocin topical so he must now be considering it possible impetago.......it might, might be improving ???? on this the third day of mupirocin but if it is it is very SLOW improvement (if any) and still some new lesions come daily. It is a blistery type rash. It does not itch but is VERY painful and bleeds or oozes clear fluid. Until they drain, the area swells which hurts a lot.

314554 tn?1337454119 developed a skin infection in the US since it appeared a day after I arrived in the UK. There was no redness, sign of eruptions, itching or burning. One was on my lower left jaw, one on my neck & 2 remain on my sternum. At 1st lesions were size of a 50 cent piece. By day 3 lesions turned light grayish yellow colour, crust was adherent, looked like a fungus. Outer lesions light pink slightly puckered up.

Avatar f tn I noticed as the whole thing started clearing up that their was one red bump on the right side of my thigh. I decided to put a bandaid with bacitracin on that bump which only seemed to make it worse. Now the bump has about 1 inch of light red skin around it. Could this be from the bandaid and bacitracin? Overall My question is,is this somthing to be worried about? Can a std occur that quickly after contact? Should I see a doctor?
Avatar f tn Accidentally, I sprayed mupirocin/Dextamethasone 5GM/45ML/0.1%, a compounded nasal preparation, in my eye. I rinsed the eye with water for about one minute. Eye has had 5 retina surgeries, has band kerapothy, and no lens. PCC told me it's ok because the mupirocin is also used for eye preparations. Correct?
Avatar f tn So, the following morning (Saturday) I called the pediatrician. To my surprise, they told me to use bacitracin topically and to call back on Monday if it hadn't stopped. I had never heard of using bacitracin for vaginal itching, even if it's not a yeast infection. Is this typical treatment? I'm not really comfortable with this. Should I insist that she be seen by the pediatrician? Can I just use a monistat cream on her? Please help!
Avatar m tn It was originally identified as staph and treated with Mupirocin and Clobetasol by my Dr. Unfortunately 2 weeks of use has done nothing. I haven't been able to see her again so I figured I'd post here. I have a feeling this could be fungal, but am not sure. As you can see in the pic, it is a red irritation and slightly raised. It has shown only minor response to both clobetasol and mupirocin. It has never itched.

Avatar n tn the blister appeared before the soap or bacitracin, but the bacitracin seems to help, it brings down the redness. does it help typically releave herpes sore?
Avatar f tn Since then I have tried hydroquartersone and anti fungal, as well as bacitracin at the request of a nurse thinking it was a PH burn from the girl. The bacitracin ( presumably) got the intense crawling down to a infrequent occasional light tingle possibly. Since then, I have used topical steroids and anti fungal, I noticed both seemed to help at certain times then just didnt. Its like this, I used bacitracin for a bit and it worked great, then stopped fror a day or two and resumed.
