If you walk a lot , carry some baby powder with you to reduce the friction of your legs rubbing together. University Medical makes a good Acne medication also. Also diaper rash treatment could help too. any of the thing mention from the the previous post and mine should work!! Carry sum germ X with you!!!! Germs and bacteria cause rashes and clogged pored and ingrown hairs and it sounds like that's all it is!
My son, 2, has had a rash for about three weeks on his inner thighs, buttocks and the areas surrounding his penis. There are little red dots and some have a white head and some do not. They are spread out and not clustered in certain areas. The skin is not scaly. I first thought he had a diaper rash and treated it with desitin and when that did not work I used aquaphor. After about a week I started using lotrimin thinking it could be a yeast infectiton.
Well now my private area looks disgusting and I am very embarrassed and know I won't be with anyone initimately without this issue being fixed. I thought if I used diaper rash cream it would resolve the issue, but I believe it only made it worse. Please give me some advice on what I can use to repair the the damage and appearance of my skin. Is there medication or etc that I can use to make the skin look better?
Now for the 4th time, it came back, I put immediatly the mupirocin, but this time the rash persisted and I was told to put also the nystatin, the rash is going away, but not the redness in the penis and he screams everytime we change his diaper and complains about pain all day and all night. I don't think this is a yeast infection anymore, i feel he has a virus in his system or maybe something related to the penis that makes him scream. please help me?

A couple days ago I have had this as I thought to be a rash. So I didn't really think anything of it so I just put baby powder. Then I started getting sick, running a fever and flu. This has been going on for a week. But a few days ago, it was so painful and uncomfortable to sit and stand up and walk properly. Also just to mention, I had anal sex a week prior to these developments. And my partner who was someone I didn't know unfortunately, ejaculated around the area where these bumps appeared.
Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be due to anal fissure. Anal fissure is the lacerated wound made by a cut in anal epithelium. Typically the pain from an acute fissure-in-ano is severe and is precipitated by defecation; it may take minutes to hours to gradually settle. Other causes of anal pain are anal sepsis, hemarrhoids(piles) and boils. Pls consult a surgeon and get yourself evaluated for the above possibilities. Hope it helps.
I also put on some prescription steroid cream my daughter was given for diaper rash but it didn't seem to phase it. I'm looking for help now because when I looked at it tonight I could see it possibly starting to spread with red spots starting that are completly separate from the main rash. I'm going to try some Hydrocortisone OTC but I'm not expecting much since the prescription stuff didn't work. Any suggestions??? Your help would be much appreciated.
I tried using diaper rash ointment (when I thought it was chapped skin from working out), jock itch ointment, baby oil, baby powder, gold bond powder, Monistat chafing ointment, and a minor steroid topical ointment for psoriasis without any luck. I have tried to get appointments with doctors to get a firm diagnosis but have been told that they cannot see me for 2 weeks. help!
I have a had a rash of some kind in my armpits for almost a year now. It comes and goes, but never goes away completly. It looks like tiny red bumps spread out over my entire armpit area and has a white or yellow head on some of them that look like a pimple. Sometimes it is sensitive or sore and sometimes it itches. When I had my baby she had the same looking thing on her diaper area and we went to the doctor. He said to put neosporain(sp) on it and it went away.
I discovered that Desitin baby cream used to protect the skin from diaper rash actually works well. Apply with a Qtip several times a day and wait. It will dry up and the cracks at the tip of your nostril will start to heal and the burning pain will subside in just a day or less. I think that it works because it protects the nose from the burning discharge and the zinc aides the healing process. Works for me and words can't describe how grateful I am that I found it.
The treatment of choice for impetigo is an anti-bacterial ointment such as mupirocin (Bactroban) or bacitracin (Polysporin).
I have had those red bumps for probably 6-9 months now too. I went to the Derm and he RX'd an antibiotic and OTC Hydrocortizone ointment. It seems to work as long as I use the ointment. If I stop it comes back. Sometimes it itches real bad or gets sore. I have noticed that the eye that first had this issue waters a real lot. I am going to reschdule a visit to MD since it hasn't gone away.
Well I've been having the same symptoms for the past few days; no discharge/rash/swelling, just an itch, which turns slightly sore after scratching. Although not in the anal region like some people have commented, just around the middle of the vulva and on the underside of the outer lips, but I'm reluctant to go see a doctor as they seem to be worse than useless.
I was put on mupirocin 1% vaginal suppositiory twice daily for 14 days. He is taking Amox-Clav 875 mg twice daily for 14 days. I was treated frist and after sex was reinfected. This was a clue that he was the reason that we were having issues. Both must be treated. Give your Dr a call and let them know. Good luck and feel better.
i was told its a boil, caused by, yup, ingrown hair. apply hot cloth or hot bottle once a day for half hour. for a week or so, should come to head and drain puss, do NOT squeeze.
I found a person on the MSN body odor support forum who had a bad odor for a long time and then the odor went away after being treated for H. Pylori, but then the coughing and sneezing started after that. Interesting. Another person on the MSN board said he was also treated for H. Pylori and then the coughing/sneezing started!
