i dont know what this is so i put the topic as acne but i have little red dots above my eye lid and below my eyebrow. it doesnt hurt and the arent bumpy but i dont like it and it scares me!!

Hello Dr. About two months ago, I woke up with a small pimple on the shaft (sideway) of my penis. Couple days later, it grew in size (became about 0.5 inches wide). Very ichy and painful to touch. About a week later, it became filled with pus and when you look at it, it look like it has an "red eye" in the middle. Finally, it exploded while I was taking a shower and all the pus came out. Two months later, it is still there but very small and more looking like a scar.

There are three small reddish white colored bumps on the inside corner of my left eye not on the red part but closer to the nose they aren't itchy and don't hurt or anything, should I be worried about them?

They you are probably limited to using warm compresses often. "Stye medicine" are topical antibiotic eye drops or ointment. Should be available in Costa Rica.

4 days in and no improvement, i went to skin doctor and he prescribed cifron + mupirocin ointment. slight improvement for a week. so he added azythromycin+gentamicin to the existing treatment. lot of improvement but now i see dark circles underneath skin, like if someone punched your eye it would be dark inside and the outerskin is going away in a circle fashion. doctor also did a HSV PCR test and came back negative. not sure what infection i have. any experience similar infection? please help!

It was originally identified as staph and treated with Mupirocin and Clobetasol by my Dr. Unfortunately 2 weeks of use has done nothing. I haven't been able to see her again so I figured I'd post here. I have a feeling this could be fungal, but am not sure. As you can see in the pic, it is a red irritation and slightly raised. It has shown only minor response to both clobetasol and mupirocin. It has never itched.

But, I thought I applied mupirocin onto my face because of a minor injury. So I am wondering if mupirocin could affect my test result and made it false-negative?

A few days ago I noticed a sore ( a small scratch-like) on the side of his nose close to his right eye. I thought it might be from where he wears glasses but now it is a cluster of blisters that looks like they have burst and a scab ( a deep scab) have formed over some of them. I was wondering if it is impetigo, and if so, how do I treat it so close to his eye with him wearing glasses? I have never seen impetigo. The only thing I know about it is what I have read on this website.

I was prescribed Mupirocin for a non-healing nasal ulcer. I used it for about 2 days then woke up with a bad headache today from the get go. I've tried everything I can. I have taken Tylenol TWICE, Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen in it, nasal spray, a Breathe Right nasal strip (since I do have severe sinus problems.) NOTHING has worked or given any relief.

I recently called in a old prescription for mupirocin 2% ointment. My question is if I use it as directed will it help clear up these ugly bites? Summer is coming up and I don't want my legs to look bad this summer please help and let me know if the cream will work!

Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Back in August I had a lesion in the same spot and tested negative. They gave me a shot and mupirocin to put on sore along with pills to take and it Went away just fine.. this time I did not get a shot but I did get mupirocin and a different set of pills but lesion is still there after almost two weeks.. any way that this is not herpes . t really have any sort of eye issues in terms of ooziness or anything, although when I took anti-itch eye drops, they hurt. It's not a makeup allergy. ve been using hibiclens twice a day, antibacterial wash twice a day, mupirocin in my nares twice a day, started hydrocortisone twice a day today and also a lotion with oats once a day from today. Topical antiseptic treatment and topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment is very useful. If still the lumps persist then specific treatment like antibiotics, vit A supplements, corticosteroid injections, isotretinoin, antiandrogens and sometimes excision and drainage ,laser therapy and radiotherapy are found useful.
