Avatar f tn So for years now I've been getting blackheads and boils in a rather embarassing part of my body, my bottom. They are where the skin of the cheeks rub together. They pretty much never drain and they always turn up. It's very embarassing and I was wondering if other people had it/ if it is normal and if there is any way to get rid of them. I keep that area very clean but they turn up regardless.
Avatar f tn I have been sick for a few days and didnt shower so that may be the cause but im not sure. One place is swollen and has two smaller cuts and one large sore. Another place has.five small sores. They itch and burn when i pee and when im just doing normal activities. Im embarresed to tell my mom but mabye i should? Im not sure but they look gross and i get disgusted even thinking about them. Please answer me with some thoughts and hopefully they are helpful.
Avatar f tn Also if the symptom persists then incision and drainage may be required.Pls consult your doctor in that case. Recurrent boils are found in diabetes, HIV infection, or other immune system disorders. So pls get your blood sugar evaluated. Hope it helps.Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn Hello, They seem like boils or furuncle. Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus. Bacterial skin infections can be spread by shared cosmetics or washcloths, close human contact, or by contact with pus from a boil or carbuncle. Please keep the area clean and apply warm compresses and some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics.

Avatar n tn I have a history of boils in the pubic area which I was told was from shaving. However, I have had bumps that have developed and not come to a head like the boils always have. I started out with only a couple little ones last week and now I have 8 of them (some bigger than others). Should I be concerned?
Avatar n tn Just apple mupurocin creme, heat boils only.
Avatar n tn My husband and I recently decided we want to start a family together. He has 2 boys from his previous marriage. The youngest has a lot of skin issues and has contracted MRSA. Since meeting my husband, we have all had bouts with boils caused by MRSA. We've tried just about everything.. and we really just deal with them now. Get on antibiotics, put the mupirocin in the nose, etc. I had a couple boils over a year ago.. then didn't have anymore for probably 10 months..
Avatar f tn So I have boils on my vagina and i've been to the doctor about it and i'm on antibiotics to help treat them and they have popped but when i go to the bathroom to pass urine, it really stings and is extremely painful and uncomfortable. Is there anything i can put on the boils to help this? Like help protect them so it doesn't hurt as much? I heard putting Vaseline on them could help?
Avatar n tn Happy Healing, this really worked for me and now I have no more suffering with painful boils.
Avatar f tn the puss in boils and pimles can be very contagious and can cause more boils or pimlpes to appear. good luck and hopefully you will not suffer with anymore of these nasty little bugger in the future.
Avatar f tn I googled this and the signs that matched the most was a boil. However, boils are supposed to be red and soft. My bumps are purplish (maybe because of my dark brown skin tone) and the bumps are not at all soft. They are harder than the rest of my skin. Is it a boil and should I treat it like one?
Avatar f tn Hello, These bumps can be due to folliculitis, boils or cysts. For such painful boils, you should keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics and warm compresses. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then get an evaluation done from a dermatologist and get cysts ruled out.
Avatar n tn If still the lumps persist then specific treatment like antibiotics, vit A supplements, corticosteroid injections, isotretinoin, antiandrogens and sometimes excision and drainage ,laser therapy and radiotherapy are found useful.I feel that you should consult a dermatologist and discuss these options with him. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn Hi, since some years i've been getting pimples on my buttocks and it is really embarrassing for me. I come from mauritius, and in mauritius i never got this kind of problem. I was in the uk before and this problem started there... I went back to mauritius, there it stopped and now i'm in canada, it started again and even more. What can be done without going to see a doctor? Can anyone please help me out with some remedies? Thanks.
