But, please be patient with the treatment as it will eventually work and her symptoms will calm down. Is she still in the hospital? The disease is not curable but it can be slowed down as Deb has already explained.

Chest pain from the infamous MS hug is a different type of discomfort from what you write here. Contrary to common thinking, even though MS is thought to be an autoimmune disease, our systems are overactive when it comes to germs and viruses. MS patients can be a pretty healthy bunch - as ironic as that may sound.
Avatar m tn One of them said it is all due to ur anxiety ( Cause i do not have any bladder problems and dizziness, numbness tingling all is due to anxiety) but one said its Multiple Sclerosis+ anxiety. My MRI and EEG were clear. Currently i have high frequency of muscle tingling through out my body only when i am lying on bed plus i see double vision of any statement especially ( white in colour) on TV and laptop. Is it MS? Should I start taking Med for MS or just let it be and hope it will go away?

8107477 tn?1396557641 The quibble if my pain is MS or Cancer but they treat the pain. I see my MS Specialist once a year he does an exam and then I go on my merry way. I thought I would be diagnosed with MS and then a team of specialist would jump on fixing it. I have seen too much house. Even Oncologists are not very exciting in treating you. I thought mortality gave street cred. No they are even caught in their systems. Care for yourself and have a good PCP to run most things by.

Avatar n tn I have had RR multiple sclerosis since I was 10 ish diagnosed (finally) in 2008. Had routine MRi of head and neck last month, everything is stable for 2 years now. Thank you Tysabri! My question is the impression of my mri stated T1 and T2 disease burden is at least moderate ( written for head and cervical MRI). Also JCV negative this whole time can I stay on Tysabri indefintely as long as I am negative?
