Avatar f tn For many years, I’ve had a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. But I have a new neurologist, who believes it may be something like Lewis-Sumner Syndrome. It’s a variation of CIDP (the asymmetric variety), and from the little I can find-it seems plausible. But so do many other conditions (hence the ms diagnosis). Does anyone here live with either of these disease states? It’s (as far as I can tell, with the limited info I can find) a chronic form of Guillain-Barre’.

5536886 tn?1455827346 I just read that comedian Jerry Lewis passed away today at 91 of natural causes- you may or may not know this, but he had Type 1 diabetes. It's so sad that he passed, but isn't it awesome to see that someone with type 1 lived a long and I'd venture to say full life? Just wanted to post about him as a little encouragement that your type 1 diagnosis isn't the end of your life- it's a complication you have to manage, but you can do it!
