Background: both my aunt and my grandmother have Multiple Sclerosis, my mother does not.
About 50 some days ago I first encountered numbness throughout my hips, right leg, and stomach. This was accompanied by dizziness and fatigue. When I went in to the doctor, they tested me for lymes and came up with a false positive. I took the medication as directed with no effect.
It is now nearly a month and a half after the initial numbness, and it's back.
The most common genetic disease causing pituitary tumors is called MEN-1 (Multiple endocrine neoplasia) where glands other than the pituitary, like parathyroid, pancreas also may be involved. This is inherited in an autosomal dominant way. So, if it runs inyour mother's family, you would have inherited it from your mother, and she too would have this disease.
Recent studies indicate that some forms of pituitary adenomas also have a genetic component.

In 2005, researchers at the Serono Genetics Institute (SGI) achieved a major milestone in identifying and creating a register of genes involved in Multiple Sclerosis (MS). For the first time in this disease area, researchers identified 80 genes involved in the inflammatory and neuro-degenerative pathways of MS, based on a 40% genome scan comparing the genetic profile of a total of 1,800 people with MS and healthy individuals in different populations.
If it is causing you distress, absolutely mention it to your doctor. Please note that while there is thought to be a genetic component to MS, it is not hereditary, strictly speaking. There is a slight increase of developing the disease if an immediate family member (sibling/parent) has it, but that's about it. Also, please note that the disease course for the most common version of the disease (Relapsing-Remitting MS) is not at all what it once was due to modern treatments.

Does psilocybin (an active component in magic mushrooms) cause multifocal demyelination, which leads to multiple sclerosis? A few my friends do mushrooms couple times a year, and I myself done them 2 or 3 times, neither I or them have symptoms, but I'm worried. Found only few clues about connection between psilocybin and demyelination on the Internet.

High lymphocytes in the CSF usually indicate an infection like meningitis or they could be high due to subarachnoid hemorrhage or due to conditions like multiple sclerosis and syphilis. Usually any of these conditions will cause a rise in CSF albumin. So, if there is low CSF albumin, it means the plasma albumin is likely to be pretty low.
Numerous autoimmune conditions have been associated w/ psychiatric conditions. Bipolar d/o is an hereditary condition & is also seen more often in people w/ multiple sclerosis & other disorders, including autoimmune d/o. Often autoimmune conditions show so many symptoms that people can look bipolar, with out being bipolar. That makes it very confusing.
Low-dose naltrexone (LDN). I have just been prescribed LDN for my two autoimmune diseases (not MS) by my endocrinologist. I am i'm looking forward to trying this out! The video at the start of the article is about a woman with MS going from a wheelchair to a walker after taking LDN. She mentioned feeling the difference of LDN overnight!
