Common Questions and Answers about Much does percocet cost street

percocet

I am trying to take only 10 percocet a day and survive. WHat does 10 percocet equate to in terms of ES vicodin? I am having some pretty nasty nausea at night and heart palpitations and nausea dizzyness. I have cut down overnight from 14 to 15 pills daily to 10 pills daily and it is causing me some of the nastiest withdrawal I have ever had yet from it. I think I tried to taper off to quick, but in the past I have never had to taper like this.
I have constant severe pain in the lower right hand side of . I have been taking 1 percocet pretty much everyday in the afternoon (I can't take it during the day because I work) for almost 3 months. I go to a pain clinc where they put me on Neurontin which makes me too tired to work and tried Bio feedback which didn't work for me. The Percocet helps the pain but I feel I am addicted.
My mom started getting low on her script each month because she was sharing so much with me, so we started having to buy percocet off the street. I would say we both have hit an ALL TIME LOW. I want to quit so badly after almost two years of this lifestyle. None of my friends or boyfriends have known about my habit, and my mom's husband is clueless as well.
Your story is exacly what I'm going thru I am in day 2 of no percocet after 2 years. I am struggling very much. I am doing the Thomas method and I hope it works but I had the worst night of my life last night.
I have lower back pains and I have found that a heating pad does wonders for the time being. I get off work and just sit on it then I bring it to bed and use it if needed. I also take a 1000mg of advil in the morning and the same about 4pm in the evening. The feeling isnt there like the perc's but the pain is cut back a little bit. Hot showers also help change things up when needed.
a few days at a time. I was taking hydrocodne, it's pretty much the same as percocet just not quite as strong, I went to my M.D. and he gave me 40 tabs to taper off. I started off with 2tabs 3 times a day for 7 days then 1 tab 3 times a day and so on. If you can do that it is so much better, I tried to just quit(cold turkey) and the withdrawls were so bad I did not even last 24 hours! good luck whatever you do, and to everyone here as well!!!
I have been using percocet recreationally for almost a year. As with others, it got to where I needed more to feel the same high. I never thought it would get this bad. I realized that I am addicted to percocets about a month ago, when i couldn't get any. I don't want to use them anymore, and I don't want to have a physical addiction. I have an important job, so I'm planning a 9 day vacation ay my friends house, to detox myself and go through the symptoms of withdrawal.
And thank you for your motivation. It does help. I'm willing to put the work in . I'm willing to do whatever it takes. I just seem to fail every time. My doctor is gonna try a two or three week taper on subs where he said the WD should be minimal if done right. I hope it works.
I have been using some form of opiate several times a day for almost 20 years. I am now 36 years old and really sick of it all. Its hard to believe that I have been like this for so long. I guess you could call me the ultimate functioning addict. (house, job, husband, children etc.) There is not a day that goes by that I dont wake up swearing to myself that I will not use, but we all know how that goes. I did try detox/rehab back in 1995. I was in a 30 day treatment program.
There is a difference between methadone and methanphetamines. Methanphetamines are street drug and rots your teeth, methadone is not the same, and does not rot your teeth. I have been using methadone for 3 years and have gained 40 pounds. I asked to try something else, and the doctor gave me MS Contin, which is a long lasting sythetic morphine for pain. since i went off Methadone, I have lost 12 pounds in 6 weeks without changing a thing. Yes, I believe it does cause weight gain.
I dont want it I dont need it I dont want anything to do with it, he's talked so much that he's got pretty much everyone thinking that it's the best thing in the world. I think it does absolutely nothing. Even if it does get you off of whatever it's just trading one addiction for another. Granted it is a life saver for some people who actually need it but I don't need it.
I hope I helped some it take along time to get our minds and bodies back. But it took along time to get us where were at too.. Hang in there it does get Easier and better over TIME!!!!! Ill be praying for you. God Bless.. J.E.W.
Thank you for this forum. I am on day 2 of Percocet WD. Today is much better than yesterday. I am going cold turkey, and I tried to ween down till I ran out. I feel terrible. hot then cold, really sweaty, my back aches, my ankles tingle. But I know this torture is worth the reward! I have been trying to drink water, and take vitamins, but I keep forgetting to eat. Xanax helps me sleep. I hope it ends soon, I never want to take another pain pill again.
I think we're over some sort of hump, b/c like you, I feel a lot better. Does it ever go away? Not sure I'm much of an expert on that, but I imagine that it never really does. I think it just sort-of lies dormant within us, waiting to hop onto some other potential addictive quality that might present itself in our lives (food, gambling, rage, sex, love, alcohol, exercise, danger, spending, etc.).
I knew I had a question!! Now i remember. I did find 1 Dr who does suboxone therapy that i wouldnt have to take so much time off of work. I think i am going to make an appt to go speak with him next week. what scares me so much is that i have heard and read so many horror stories about suboxone W/D's being even worse than the drugs one needed to get off of in the 1st place. when i talked to the lady at the Dr office she said no way that was true.
they range from 50 cents to 1 dollar per milligram on the street so an 80mg pill will cost 40.00 to 80.00 depending who and where ya buy it from..as for vics etc they only cost 1 to 3 dollars each on the street..but its them dam oxy's that people are going crazy for! i had an old friend that litteraly robbed a pharmacy for oxycontin at gun point! (he eventualy got caught and got 5yrs in prison..
How much does the SUB treatment run a person without insurance by the way? I'm seriously considering since my dr told me about "another way to go" and mentioned something new so I can only assume he was talking about that.
How much does this stuff cost? When I look back 6 or 7 months, I think he was normal but I can't be sure so I don't know how long he has been on the stuff. It does seem that six months ago was when the money problems started. If I knew the cost I could have a better understanding of how bad his problem is. I confronted him the other day and he said he stopped two weeks ago with the help of some w/d pills from a friend.
I am still on Suboxone and am a little worried about that… It does work well but the jury is out on, “At what Cost.” I also learned while in detox, that the mind can psychosomatically create pain to “get’ the drug. Another was that healing while using opiates greatly diminishes. I would have sores on my hands that would take way too long to heal. Best Fish I have to say this from the bottom of my heart, Please do not keep playing around with these drugs they are very powerful …..
After the treatment I will go back to Low dose Subutex. I will go from 16 mg to maybe 2 mg a day. Much better than heroine and all things that follow that drug. When I feel 100 % sure that I want not take any opiates more, I will went off the Subutex. Methadone gives you more side effect than Subutex/Suboxone.
only you can stop yourself. Unfortunately, I know the feeling of when your withdrawaling to say " whats the point in stopping if i dont want to?" You gotta find a reason in yourself to do it, something that will drive you to getting clean. Honestly from the sound of it, your not even close to wanting to get clean. Everyone needs some sort of escape to take the edge off. Whether it be beer, pot, coffee, whatever. But the thing with opiates is how they effect your mind so much.
I sure hope you are all having a nice Holiday. Welcome to the room those who are new. Thank you so much for finding us. I know you can do this!
In order to save myself time I’ve decided to write as much as I can on one, or two, pages…the truth as I see it…to assist you in your endeavor. I will be adding and subtracting as more information is made available. Certainly, you may perceive your truth to be different. If you think that going to the methadone clinic every morning to get your dose for the rest of your life…gives you quality of life…then read no further and God bless you.
Well, I've tried to ask Neuro doc if he does also prescribe Vicodin HP (10/650) I think. He said no. He only will write out Tylenol #3/4, Darvocet, or Vicodin 5/500 or 7.5/750. He refuse to write percocet or Vicodin HP. Right now I'm experiencing a pain and numbness on my left leg - its hard for me to walk or sit in long period. I've been seeing my Neuro dr since 2005. First, it was for my migraines. Then my back problems started around March 2006. Had MRI and results are L1/L5.
If you are taking them for REAL pain and not taking MORE than you need..well, you are being NORMAL. Normal does not have to count days clean. IMHO you get to keep the clean days. Congrats on your clean time.
Used to be on 40 mg of oxycontin and 30 mg of percocet daily. Started tapering until I got down to 30--40 mg of percocet, then 20 mg, then 15 mg and now 10 mg. It is best if you have the pills you can break in half and not the CR pills. You could do c/t, but I think that all depends on your age, medical condition and how long you've been taking them as well as dosage.
I took the prescription to my local CVS and they had it, however, the cost was HIGHLY prohibitive - if I remember correctly it was going to be over $100 for a month's supply - and it is not covered by my Medicare presription coverage, so I was not able to get it and try it. I simply cannot afford that cost for one medication.
He was 75 a week plus cost of meds. When I didn't have insurance it cost me about 8$ a pill. And he gave me 14 pills a week to take 2 a day. But once my insurance kicked in, the pills were 3.00 total. But neither ever took blood nor did I need to proove I was an addict. I just told them how much I was taking, what I was taking, and for how long. And it was that quick. So if you can go to Suboxone.com and type in your zip code, a list of dr.s that prescribe Sub in your area will pop up.
