Avatar f tn what are signs and symptoms of MS? I have optic neuritis and would like to know other symptoms.
Avatar f tn Hi and welcome, It might not help very much to read first symptoms (sx's), because individual MS sx's vary so much, that each person with MS is said to be unique.
Avatar f tn t had dramatic symptoms yet, and I want to know how to gauge these signs? The dizziness is a little disturbing since it's been mostly there for at least the last week or so.
Avatar f tn Your neurologist may have thought that the disease is not very well pronounced . It is a fact that most patients with MS do not get all the symptoms and an MRI also doesn’t show specific findings in the early stage . Please go for a second opinion because your symptoms haven’t subsided . Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !
Avatar f tn I am 38 years old and have a tingling sensation in my feet for about six years. Recently I had an episode of double vision whilst driving that was preceded by a quick "snap" sensation in my head. It was the most bizarre experience and rectified itself within minutes. I have also recently had days where my left eye lower lid feels like it is puffy and dragging down but looks fine to look at.
Avatar m tn s HQ), it can throw endless symptoms and combinations of symptoms/sensations at someone. This means people are often erroneously told by Dr Google that it's a possibility, when likely it is not and they've just entered 'symptoms of life' (aches, fatigue, etc) or symptoms of another origin entirely. This is the catch-22 of search engine algorithms.
Avatar f tn thinks it has been going on for a while). I have been freaking out about MS..he said that a person with MS would have a normal EMG and he doesn't think MS is my case. The last week or so I have freezing ankles and feet (all the time). He says circulation is fine. My feet feel swollen, but aren't??? Any suggestions?? Thanks for any help you can offer!!
Avatar f tn I think it would be a good idea to get a copy of the reports from your MRI & lumbar puncture. If you see other specialist(s), they might want to see these reports. Also, it's always helpful to read the reports yourself.
572651 tn?1530999357 *** This is a half-hour webcast on the visible and invisible signs of MS. It begins with a discussion with an ms patient, but then moves on to a very good discussion with MS specialists. They do talk a lot about MRI's, lesions and symptoms. Clinical diagnosis without lesions, too much to list here. If you have time to listen, I think you will find this very informative.
Avatar n tn Welcome, BigFoot. MS and thyroid symptoms can be similar, but people here generally know only about MS. Did you know MedHelp has a thyroid forum as well? http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Thyroid-Disorders/show/7t I suggest you post your question there. (At the top the screen, under the Forums header you can find all the other topics too.
Avatar f tn Hey guys I have had some rather odd symptoms that I think may be linked to MS and I wanted the opinion of a MS community before I take any action so I'll start from the beginning 1. It started with extreme fatigue coupled with horrible leg cramps my legs would feel so Incredibly tight and the fatigue was over whelming I was constantly tired and had a complete lack of energy and this stinging/electric feeling in my neck and scalp , not particularly painful but hurts none the less 2.
198419 tn?1360242356 Having suffered with Ms as one of my key symptoms of MS here are some things I have learned. 1. Depression does not have to have a cause. Such as I had this happened to me therefore I am depressed. Sometimes the brain just says you are depressed. It is a hidden symptom one others may not see but it is very real. 2. Depression is the one symptom that tells you not to get help. It resists help. Reach out if you even have an inkling you need help.
Avatar f tn The rest of my brain shows grey except a few white spots but again the doc said it was normal? I have been have many MS symptoms after the birth of my second child. I am 30 years old. Should I get a second opinion, ?
Avatar f tn I know there are a bunch of ppl who have been diagnosed after clean MRI's -- but any on a 3T? I'm still in limbo land with continuing symptoms, and three neurologists assert that MS is extremely unlikely after my clean MRI's last year on 3T (brain and cervical spine). Thanks, all!
Avatar f tn I know there are many things that can cause similar symptoms to MS, so more info and testing will need to be done to know for sure....but you may want to check the MS forum. https://www.medhelp.org/forums/Multiple-Sclerosis/show/41 Another possibility is a condition I have and had to have MS ruled out....Chiari....is another condition that you may want to look into.....https://www.medhelp.
5485096 tn?1375574235 Called ms nurse she answered first ring... She said this is causing flare up nd ms symptoms... Due to higher temp with infection... Ah ha... More understanding to this body I live in. So although still under weather I am thankful for new info and answers.
Avatar n tn Hi Everyone. I guess I'm wondering what my level of worry should be at this point. The main symptom I'm concerned about is when I sit at my desk at work and often when I'm walking or jogging, I'll get a tingling, numbness sensation in the tips of my feet. The area is from the ball of both feet into all toes. It comes and goes for approx 1 month now. My problem is I have suffered health anxiety in the past for many years for which I took Aropax (Ant-depressant) for.
1043455 tn?1253800083 What were the first symptoms you experienced from MS and how long did it take to get a diagnoses?
Avatar f tn Hi and welcome to our little MS community, Migraines episode can mimic symptoms of MS but because your symptoms of unilateral numbness and tingling has not changed in 3 months, it's more suggestive of neurological conditions like MS, so imho MS would have to be possible but MS wouldn't be the only possibility...
Avatar f tn New research says it can be hereditary. Anyways heres my symptoms and was wondering if anyone else experienced these before dx of MS. Severe fatigue, numbness in limbs , pressure in head on sides, mild vertigo, and I lose my balance sometimes. Im 20 years old , which is young but a lot of young people are being dx with it. I know my chances are higher bc my mother does in fact have it. Please no rude comments im looking for help and support.
Avatar f tn I am just curious of the first signs of MS. I understand they differ from person to person, but am none the less curious. How did it begin and at what age?
Avatar m tn Have the symptoms gotten worse or remained constant over the past year?
Avatar f tn I do know that your symptoms are early signs of MS, but is also signs of many other things as well. If i were you i would research doctors until you have found one you are comfortable with and let them look further into it. There is Medicine that works very well for MS patients if this is your future diagnosis. Your GP , altho knowledgeable, this is not his field of study, so my advice would be find a doctor who specializes in this.
