Hi Jen, I just read your email! I went to look up to see who your doctor was. I finally got all my records sent to UTSW--including a CD of my MRI. I'm still working on the 22 page questionnaire that was sent to me through email. They've asked me who I wanted to see, and I didn't know at the time other than the head of the department, Dr. Frohman who isn't taking new patients. I will ask to see Dr. Courtney when I email my questionnaire.

I believe that your standard MS clinic will require a referral from your regular physician. To my surprise I was offered a job as a healthcare assistant at a local hospital after passing an interview. I accepted but have since been given a sixteen page in depth medical questionnaire to fill. It asks many specific questions, including ones about medication/mental health - amounts/dates, there is no way to be vague, or play down the symptoms. I also have other health problems and am now worried that they will turn around and say I am not suitable for the job.

ON by itself does not equal MS. Given that the MRI findings have been attributed to small vessel disease. MS effects nerves, not blood vessels. In your shoes, I would think about other causes. I would also schedule an appointment with a neurologist and the follow up MRI.
