Avatar f tn I have tingling and pain in my legs almost daily. What is happening in my brain to cause this tingling/pain? The pain can be associated with side effects from the medicine, but the tingling really puzzles me. Thanks!
Avatar f tn Hello, I have been having odd symptoms for the past few days. My left hand was tingling along with numbness. My right arm has had the feeling of pins and needles along with my right leg. There is some pain along with it. I am concerned about this. I have called to make an appt, but can't be seen due to the pandemic. It will be a video chat. I am wondering what I can possibly gain from this appt. Could this be MS? I am aware that such symptoms can be anything else as well.
Avatar f tn Hi Thanks so much for caring about my case. Well to asnwer your questions, Yes when I do get the ocassional tingling in the right arm is in the same fingers as the left one. I work in an office, desk work 8 hrs per day. The tingling comes and goes, when I get it it normally last for 4 or 5 hours in a 1 or 2 day period each day. All I know that my doctor run blood work to see if I have any vitamin deficiencies and he did mentioned he was testing vitamin B.
Avatar f tn I know the joint pain from a year ago does not correlate with ms but my symptoms now seem to match more with an ms diagnosis. The neuro doc I just saw blew off the ms diagnosis due to a clean brain mri but did not order any additional tests. I've had these symptoms now for a month and I'm very concerned as to what may be going on. Any advice? Does this sound like ms? needles but more like a weird chill thy passes through and stops.
Avatar f tn But, that said, numbness and tingling in your lims for that long is certainly not normal. Those are symptoms of MS, but certainly many other diseases and disorders as well. Pain is a symptom, too, but likewise, it can be caused by many things. I'm glad your doc did some bloodwork. Do you know what kind of virus you had? Has he checked you for Epstein-Barr virus? Or mono? Do you have fatigue as well, or any other symptoms besides the pain and tingling?
415084 tn?1209381952 Since January, my symptoms have been numbness and tingling on my hands, toes and nose. I had an MRI and it came back normal.(no sign of lesions or tumor). My neuro. did a bunch of blood work which came back normal. He suggested we watch it for a month. Since then the numbness is gone but the tingling is still there but not as bad sometimes we I get hot or cold it acts up. I have also had two dizzy spells that lasted a couple of seconds each. I told my Neuro, he didn't seem to worried.
Avatar f tn What you describe does not really sound like MS. There are two eye conditions in MS double vision no pain and Optic neuritis loss of sight and pain in one eye at a time over time. If they took pictures of your eyes Optic neuritis would show up. An optometrist would pick up on double vision for sure. ON eye pain is nerve pain when you move your eye from side to side. You lose vision or color saturation. When you look at red it is washed out pink. Shooting pains all over is not usually MS.
Avatar m tn In all cases, an excessive burst of nervous activity from a damaged nerve causes the painful attack. since you have primarily tingling, exclude MS which is a chronic demyelinating disorder where the disease phase is characterized by active phase and remissions. It has multiple symptoms and signs and is a diagnosis of exclusion.
Avatar m tn Thanks, Deb! The jaw issue is new, and has never happened before. That's why I was wondering. I also have had numerous other symptoms dating back to last spring that I've read can be associated with MS. I have had bad heartburn since this past Spring, as well as dysphagia. I know I'm just throwing things out there, but I have no clue what to look for/ what is going on. Thanks for the response Deb!
Avatar n tn Bowel and bladder symptoms include frequency of micturition, urine leakage, eye symptoms like double vision uncontrollable rapid eye movements, facial pain, painful muscle spasms, tingling, burning in arms or legs, depression, dizziness, hearing loss, fatigue etc. The treatment is essentially limited to symptomatic therapy so the course of action would not change much whether MS has been diagnosed or not.
Avatar f tn MS is largely a diagnosis of exclusion. The numbness and tingling could be so many things. I suggest making a list of your symptoms and taking them in to your doctor. You can start ruling out by looking into your depression and headaches first Follow the link on the upper right of this page 'Health Pages'. Study through the symptoms of MS etc.
Avatar f tn anyway, I had a bunch of eye tests done and the eye doctor said it was not optic neuritis or any other MS related reason. well the symptoms almost completely subsided for about two weeks. Then the other day the tingling came back, almost worse. Now im truly concerned I have MS. however, i dont have weakness or clumsiness along with the tingling. just super annoying tingles. I becoming very depressed because I should be focusing on my new baby but im over consumed with ideas of having MS.
Avatar f tn my first symptoms were stroke like symptoms. I could not walk the next day. it was hard to lift my legs.

Avatar n tn for the past year I have been experiencing episodes of pain, naumbness, tingling and coldness on my left side both arm and leg. on one occasion I had these sensations on the left side of my face as well. My current episode is also on my right side. I have done an MRI, CAT scan, X-ray, blood work of all kinds and seen a nuerologist. I am waiting for my second referral to a different neurologist to see if he has any other ideas for a diagnosis or tests.

Avatar n tn I have m.s. Two days ago I was having left arm pain and tingling in finger in that hand. Now i am having back pain shooting up towards my ear, think it could be ms hug related, and slight panick attack. Could the arm pain be ms. Should i just relax.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with chronic epstein barr and have numerous neurological symptoms as well. fatigue, pain, tingling in hands and feet, depression, confusion, tingling in hands and feet, muscle pain, dizziness, etc. what are some of your symptoms? sometimes it helps knowing you are not the only one... i recently had an mri showing one tiny lesion on my spine. i have to wait six months for another mri to rule out possible ms.
Avatar f tn I still have muscle tremors, achiness, tingling and some fatigue although much milder. Can anyone shed some light on my symptoms...I was convinced I had ms ( also had a great aunt with ms) but with my MRI's normal I am not sure now.
Avatar f tn Can you have leg symptoms ( burning tingling numbness ) with only brain lesions and NO spine lesions
Avatar f tn When pain burns it is always neurological pain, and when envolving the spine the pain can be anywhere.... with the low back, one can nerve pain not just the back, but also the hips can burn, pain down the leggs etc. With the cervical spine one can experience pain down the arms etc. And pain is not only the problem if severe the muscles get involved as well. This is what causes the spasms that you mentioned.
230625 tn?1216761064 With your documented stenosis and disc slippage, I would start treating your back for the most obvious symptoms. With MS, pain is caused by either a misfiring nerve, or by spasming muscles. So whether the muscle is spasming from MS, or because of spinal compression, it can be treated by applying heat, cold, and anti-inflammatories like naproxen sodium. I would avoid back surgery, as I hear that once air hits the bones of the spine, spurs start developing.
