Avatar f tn Hi everyone. I am having MS Symptoms. I have had an MRI on my brain and it showed 1 lesion. I have Neuropathy in my left leg and Optic Neuropathy. I have tremors in my leg. I have weakness and numbness on my left side ( leg and arm ). I went for a Lumbar Puncture on Friday and the finding are " Few Lymphocytes Noted ". What does this mean? My Neurologist tells me that he thinks this is all in my head. Can you believe this?
Avatar f tn m not a doc, but I would suspect you chiari malfomation as the cause of your symptoms before I suspected MS resulting from a Vitgamin D deficiency. There is a connection between Vit. D and MS, but ot hasn't been determined whether the deficiency contributes to the onset of MS or MS causes the deficiency. All by it self a Vit. D deficiency does not indicate MS. As alex suggested, I would seek the advice of a neurologist.

Avatar f tn Ok. So I posted a few months ago but initial symptoms I was having that I thought were MS related. I think I'm having more, whether MS related or not. I'd just like to know what's going on. I still have pins and needle feelings all over my body and different times in different places. But now, I have a numb sensation in my head. It feels like a lot of pressure but numbness as well. I think there's pins and needles feelings in my head as well.
Avatar f tn Your neurologist may have thought that the disease is not very well pronounced . It is a fact that most patients with MS do not get all the symptoms and an MRI also doesn’t show specific findings in the early stage . Please go for a second opinion because your symptoms haven’t subsided . Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !
Avatar f tn I am 38 years old and have a tingling sensation in my feet for about six years. Recently I had an episode of double vision whilst driving that was preceded by a quick "snap" sensation in my head. It was the most bizarre experience and rectified itself within minutes. I have also recently had days where my left eye lower lid feels like it is puffy and dragging down but looks fine to look at.
Avatar f tn Recently I have been uncoordinated. I get dizzy then my limbs and head feel very heavy. I get very weak. Always feels like my head is floating yet heavy. Spots in my left eye and sometimes my right but eye exam ok. Started waking up with an internal vibration in my body like a cell phone or caffeine high. Eeg was abnormal with possible seizure activity. It is starting to control my life. I will have 2-3 good days then right back to terrible days. What is wrong with me!!
Avatar f tn so now just under 2 yrs later after being completely free of these symptoms, I got a very bad head/chest cold lots of coughing up of phglem, stuffy nose, etc.. as these symptoms finally subsided, I started to have mild nausea, a pain when swallowing bruise type feeling one side of adams apple area, and that imbalance feeling, became pretty worried and also noticed that blurred vision on things close up, no eye pain or color symptoms, just blurry close up.
Avatar f tn Keep in mind that MS is only 1 medical explanation for many different types of symptoms, it genuinely might not be a neurological condition like MS, so try if you can to not become too focused on any specific medical condition at this stage of your testing... Hope that helps.........
1054985 tn?1257173275 I thought that was a reasonable approach. Looking back at the last 5 years I had minor symptoms of MS - depression, fatigue, and insomnia were the main ones. About 3 years ago however when my wife was pregnant with my first daughter I decided I was going to shed some weight, I put myself on a ketogenic diet and bam fatigue and depression gone like the wind.
Avatar f tn They sound like MS symptoms to me. I would at least let your Neurologist know.
1281603 tn?1283798699 I am 54 years old, previously healthy. I had an MRI to rule out MS, as I have had extreme fatigue, exercise intolerance and muscle pain for the last few months, to the point I have been unable to work. I have been suspecting chronic fatigue, but I have a brother with MS so the Dr wanted to rule that out. The MRI found "numerous punctate T2/FLAIR hyperintensities in the subcortical regions of both cerebral hemispheres.
1744910 tn?1314199685 Interesting - I've been experiencing similar symptoms quite a bit lately, and I have TM and 'probable' MS. My head feels heavy - it's a great way to describe it. And the dizziness is not like you've been spinning around and stopped and can't catch your balance, it's just feeling. . like a half a beat off. I just caught myself walking in to work, feeling as though I was walking in a crooked line. I have a neruo appt tomorrow and planned on asking about it.
Avatar f tn You may have a couple different things going on that are not related. I have MS and some of the symptoms even though they are different they do go along with the MS. But that doesnt mean that every complaint or symptom that i have is related to the MS. Have you ever had a brain MRI because of the migraines and family history of MS?
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, I am a very healthy and active 50 year old woman. Two months ago I began to experience tingling in my hands and arms. I work at a computer all day every day with pretty pitiful posture, so assumed it was carpal tunnel, as did my internist. But the symptoms subsided, so I never had any tests. Then a few weeks later I began to experience a tingling sensation in both legs when I lower my head. I've heard this is a strong indicator of MS.
Avatar f tn lyme disease, diabetes, MS, aneurysm, compressive lesion (tumor), trauma, virus, myasthenia gravis etc etc. you need a full physical and blood workup to rule out systemic disorders.
Avatar f tn Im trying to figure out if my symptoms correspond to MS symptoms or not. I am a 52yr old woman in great health except for what Ive started to experience. Please bear with me, this may be a little long. In April I woke up in the middle of the night with a tightness in my neck and pressure at the base of the skull. It developed into something which felt like a migraine on the right side of my head.
Avatar f tn I had an anuerysm in January and survived it with no apparent scars other than the scar from the crainotomy. I am experiencing head and ear pressure. It fills as if my head is going to explode. It last for a few minutes then goes away. I am also experiencing ringing in the ears, left eye twitching and sluggish walking. Could this be because of the subarachnoid hemorrahage? I had a cat scan in March, it showed no signs of water on the brain.
Avatar f tn I would do a search for MS symptoms and one for fibromyalgia symptoms and see if your symptoms line up with either of these. I have fibro and know people with MS. Your symptoms sound similar to both of these conditions to me.
Avatar f tn my first symptoms were stroke like symptoms. I could not walk the next day. it was hard to lift my legs.
Avatar f tn I have had a pressure headache, but sometimes just pressure at the top of my head, and dizziness when I turn my head for 6 weeks. Sometimes it causes a headache all over which I had a MRI done to rule out brain tumor. Sometimes I have nausea with it. I saw a ENT to find out if it was sinuses, and it's not sinuses or allergies. I feel like the top of my head is heavy. He referred me to a neurologist which I have to go through my regular doctor first, before I can get a referrel.
Avatar f tn You all are so encouraging. I don't post much and am new, but thank goodness for this forum so I don't feel so alone. I have not been diagnosed with MS as of today. Have had MRI which show a few lesions, but I am 54 and neuro suspects they are age related. HOWEVER, I have many symptoms and explained to him I know my body. So yesterday I had a lumbar puncture. (It was no big deal compared to ongoing pain!!) Will be anxious to see if it shows anything.
